One huge reason CampDoc is great are the people that work there. Customer service is what they do best. **What do you dislike about CampDoc?** Sometimes it is challenging to understand what my applicants see since as a provider I see it differently. Same for when I am working with CampDoc they see it differently than I do so sometimes explaining what I need changed is challenging. **What problems is CampDoc solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are always helping me fix small issues that I continue to find as applicants fill out their forms. Some of our clients came from all over CA and some out of state. There was always an issue with last minute registration if they live far away. However, with campdoc, they can do it online from anywhere. This made it easy for staff as well. Instead of sorting through paper forms, everything is online. We love the medical forms. The ability to place individuals in cabins and move them around if needed. Definitely a must have if you have a camp program. **What do you dislike about CampDoc?** During set-up we had some issues as we needed to ensure it worked with our current software. However, our company spoke to them and it actually worked out really well. They communicated and at the end they figured everything out. So maybe not something to dislike but was an issue. **Recommendations to others considering CampDoc:** It is worth every penny. **What problems is CampDoc solving and how is that benefiting you?** More registration up front instead of last minute. Staff was able to plan ahead and if there was an issue with registration we could notify parents in advance to complete certain areas that they may have needed to but did not. Staff are loving this and participants as well. We increase 400 participants this year. We started CampDoc in January. **Official Response from Elise Brantley:** > Hi there! I love working with them. **What do you dislike about CampDoc?** Due to security requirements, the software is incompatible with older browsers. This means that some of our customers (particularly the less affluent) struggle to get access. Internet Explorer and other out-of-date browsers are still out there in libraries, workplaces, and grandma's old laptop. For this reason, we don't use CampDocs as our registration system (we want registration to be accessible to all) and have to provide paper forms to some of our families. **What problems is CampDoc solving and how is that benefiting you?** Streamlined health forms make it easier than ever to access camper data - and we're getting more data than ever before because parents are more likely to type you a paragraph on their camper's special need than they were to write it in a tiny box on a paper form. **Official Response from Elise Brantley:** > Hi There! It sounds like it has been a great tool for you to use in terms of accessibility to important information and communication. Although CampDoc may not be available as a phone app that you'd find in the Apple or Android Store, our system is able to work on any modern browser and can snap to whatever size screen you're using, so you can certainly use CampDoc on a smartphone or tablet. There are also a number of key benefits to being a web-based application vs a mobile application. For example, we regularly deploy new updates into the system, including product improvements and new feature releases - these updates are available to you right away without having to download the latest version of our software (and perhaps updating your operating system in the process). For your consideration, most smartphones allow you to "Save to Home Screen" for a website that puts a shortcut directly to the website in next to their apps.
