The customer service, really the people that work there, have been really helpful in both launching our yearly registration, as well as in the moment needs. **What do you dislike about CampDoc?** Responsive time in the past has been slower than I'd like but getting better. CampDoc has historically made it so that any edits in the onboarding process had to all go through them. They give themselves 1-2 business days to make the changes, which could be frustrating if it was just a tiny change like a date or title. But I know they are changing that and appreciate that they are giving the admins more control over the process. That allows me to make changes in the moment and move the onboarding process on faster, as well as if I need to make changes during enrollment. **What problems is CampDoc solving and how is that benefiting you?** CampDoc has been great in keeping summer programs registration and health forms organized and in one central location. And since we rely on volunteer medical staff, the ease of handing a cohesive and familiar system to medical professionals for each week eases the stress of that transition each week. **What do you dislike about CampDoc?** We have found it difficult to customize it to our camp's needs. We have discovered several workarounds to fix those issues, and the staff at CampDoc have worked well with us to find those. I think it is very easy to use and a great way to get parents to do their paperwork and track it as well. I like that I can see the percentage of completion of my parents and students. I like that it is all in one link. **What do you dislike about CampDoc?** Campdocs can be a bit annoying if you have more than one kid. It seems like it could be simpler to ask up front if they are filling it out for more than one kid and then let them only put the crucial info once. Also, if your dates change at all then the link tends to get shutdown early which causes confusion for parents trying to fill it out last minute. **What problems is CampDoc solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is always a struggle to get parents to fill out all the paperwork required for a trip. It is easier to manage this way for my own professional needs. **What do you dislike about CampDoc?** While CampDoc is a welcome change to past registration systems, it is lacking a handful of nuances that would make it the perfect product for my program's needs. There is a disconnect with the information it requires parents to provide, granular data that would make check-out procedures more efficient, especially with minors, pulling data that already exists to generate nametags for participants, and so forth. I have worked very closely with CampDoc developers to assist my program with operational and programmatic tasks, and I hope that the changes we've made will ultimately relieve them from a ton of administrative work. **What problems is CampDoc solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our biggest problem was how we organized our participants via their summer camp activity choices (a.k.a. "rankings"). CampDoc would just collect the data and nothing else, leaving my operations team to have to sit for many hours and organize all the activity rankings manually to ensure campers were given the schedules their parents/guardians paid for. We have eliminated the rankings system altogether and now have parents choose their child's schedules themselves. One snag will ultimately be that parents will try to choose the same activity multiple times (which is not permitted), but we can clean that up in the backend and include it within our program policies. There was a little confusion with some of our returning families and their "percentage complete". It had to do with their pre-arrival Covid test upload, last years upload was still in the system, but once we spoke with our rep it was not a problem. **What problems is CampDoc solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves the problem of having many filing cabinets of confidential medical forms about past and current campers and staff. Not every problem has an easy solution when it comes to modules for registration, billing, health forms, etc. However, the CampDoc team has always been incredibly willing to help troubleshoot and find another way to get to the outcomes we're looking for. Because we use it for everything (not just health features), seamlessness is vital, and the support team always helps make our process of changing or updating easy. **What do you dislike about CampDoc?** There are two features that we wish were different. One, when you run an invoice from the Account tab, you can filter your view (by date, for example), but saving or printing that ledger includes all unfiltered info. This is hard because families seek invoices for DCA reimbursement, and many will not accept that document as is, so I have to make one manually instead. The second feature we'd change is the filtering for revenue. Revenue is all in one big "pot," including year to year, so it is very hard see where we stand in a fiscal year versus running individual reports and filtering out unwanted info. **What problems is CampDoc solving and how is that benefiting you?** To be completely fair to CampDoc, I've mentioned both the invoicing issue and the revenue filtering issues, and they've added it to a queue for consideration to change. **Official Response from Elise Brantley:** > Hello! It also allows us to keep our session numbers operable because we now have an active waitlist of participants to choose from when a registered camper fails to meet requirements by the deadline. **What do you dislike about CampDoc?** I dislike the import process for each registration (we have multiple registration dates throughout the year with year-round programming) as we continue to use another software program at this time for registration/finance purposes. I wish this were less tedious in some way and more protected from human error. And, the due dates can be confusing when a participant has more than one registration - if there were a way to display due dates for each corresponding session they're registered for and have the profiles lockout from the due date until after the corresponding session has ended, that would be great. **Recommendations to others considering CampDoc:** From experience, I'd recommend using both the health profile management portion of the software and the registration portion of the software together from the beginning if you can - it will save you a lot of time. However, the support team is incredibly helpful if and when you need to complete imports because you use separate software for the two needs. **What problems is CampDoc solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our COVID prescreens are now a more effective tool than before since we're able to review them in real-time, allowing us to be proactive rather than reactive to a situation. We're also better able to monitor staff health concerns before they arrive at camp, allowing us to meet their needs and staff our programs more appropriately. Our health files for campers are also getting completed in record time. Completion rates at a month out from a due date are now what they used to be our due dates before implementing the software - our camper attendance is higher now because of it. I have been both a parent, provider and user, and Campdoc has been a wonderful resource. **What do you dislike about CampDoc?** The biggest downside has been the steep learning curve as a provider. The site offers some great tools for communication and parsing the list of those being served. This requires a signficant investment of time to fully understand and use. **Recommendations to others considering CampDoc:** It is so much better to go with a platform designed to handle health and registration than to go with multiple platforms. **What problems is CampDoc solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest benefit is the application process which helps us to both screen potential campers as well as capture all the needed information to run a successful camp. Learning any new system takes time, and CampDoc has many features that can be completely customized to your needs. After handling registration on our own for over twenty years, to find CampDoc and have that support has been a game changer for us. **What problems is CampDoc solving and how is that benefiting you?** In year's past, parents would leave incomplete registrations, or not answer all questions. Sometimes getting the full payment on time was an issue, too. With CampDoc, all that has changed.
