# Which Employer of Record (EOR) Software Avoids Vendor Lock-In?

The tradeoff is that support can feel rigid on smaller issues.

The most common request is a more customizable reporting dashboard.

The gap raised most often is uneven support for country-specific work rules in a few markets.

I’d add data portability to the exit test. Contract flexibility helps, but if employee records, payroll history, and compliance documents are difficult to export cleanly, switching providers can still become a major project.
