**What do you like best about CAKE POS?**

The upsides of using this point of sale is the ease of use, cloud-based accessibility, customer-focused tools. Its amazing what it does.

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

Honestly in my opinion it is as good as it gets. It can be a bit more friendly use of people that don't know or its a first time using it.

**What problems is CAKE POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It definitely helps in the busy times. And it does get easier in the long run to use it.

CAKE has well trained help desk technicians, who understand the system, service issues, and the need to resolve them in a speedy manner.  They listen, and are willing to help to get the issue resolved quickly.

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

Although support service is available 24/7, there is sometimes a language barrier with the after hours support.

**What problems is CAKE POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not currently using the CAKE system

**What do you like best about CAKE POS?**

This is my 3rd POS and by far, my favorite. It is so user friendly, easy to learn, easy to add or change items or prices or virtually anything. The reports are easy to read and make perfect sense. The fact that they take the Credit Card fees out of each deposit is a Godsend! No more massive payment at the first of the month, when everything else comes out! I love this system!!

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

I wish the reports would be able to tell me exactly what my alcohol sales were without me having to add each individual item up and I with the monthly sales report would show me how much my tax exempt sales are. Also, I wish my staff could add their starting banks into the system everyday and have their Z report add that amount back in as funds they owe.

**Recommendations to others considering CAKE POS:**

This is the easiest system out there and their support is phenomenal!

**What problems is CAKE POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can look at my sales and know exactly what they are, without having to add this or subtract that! I no longer have to create readable reports off the reports I’m getting. These reports give me what I need with the exception of my tax exempt sales

**What do you like best about CAKE POS?**

I enjoy the sleek design of the system and user-friendly options. 

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

It was difficult to set-up, and costly if I wanted the option to have it done for me. The cables are either too long or short and messy under the counter. If I want next-day deposit there is an additional cost--no thanks. I stopped processing payments on this system and used a third-party as it is cheaper and faster. I also think it is absurd that if I would like to use giftcards, there is a costly fee to purchase and maintaine the cards even if they are not being sold. I consider this price gouging as CAKE still receives a percentage of the consumers purchase. 

**Recommendations to others considering CAKE POS:**

I would really consider the size of the restaurant, Needs and Wants, Specific traits that would tailor the system. (I provided input for a year and have not seen it implemented, so it does not heavily fit my restaurant needs). If you are thinking of doing giftcards, there is a high cost to have the "software" let alone the card fee to use the giftcard feature.

Helps ensure speedy sales, and convenience.

**What do you like best about CAKE POS?**

The simplicity of Cake can't be beat when compared to other POS systems. The Dependability and quick response time for any changes or issues I need help with from their support team is great. 

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

Not sure if it is a dislike, since we are using the tablets and haven't used one but would rather see/try a hand held size order platform rather than a bulky IPad/tablet.

**Recommendations to others considering CAKE POS:**

Really pay attention to how detailed a system can get as well as the support that comes with it.  Look at what your costs are after the honeymoon period! You get so much more with Cake than other vendors offer.  A Great and smart investment for your business.

**What problems is CAKE POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to accept payments when internet is down. Mis-communications between FOH and BOH on order requests. My FOH staff being able to put in customized requests at the touch of a button vs spending several minutes typing out notes which also slows down the BOH.

**What do you like best about CAKE POS?**

Solid performing OS and hardware. Unlike many competitors the larger screen provide for a solid surface while typing in commands. This might not seem important but in a fast casual context this tiny feature equals expedited ordering.

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

The 3rd party additions are nice but native apps always mean easier solutions if and when there are problems. For instance inventory management and BOH order display screens.

**What problems is CAKE POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cake has solved our downtime problems by not ever being down. Customer support is second only to Apple. The benefits from no downtime is reappropriation of time, energy and resources to those things that have a return mean better bottom line.

**What do you like best about CAKE POS?**

Cake is a simple and easy to use POS. On the server/bartender side of things my new staff members are usally able to pick up the system on their first day and use it, and have detailed and advanced knowledge within their first week. I hardly do any training as the online resources and ease of use do not require me to have to sit their and explain or review features with staff. On the back end of things, I really like how easy it is to customize the features to the needs of our establishment, and the reporting and revenue centers have made my accounting much easier. When we were shopping for cake, the sales rep told us that the system is designed to be updated and we should see constant improvements and new features. I can honestly say Cake has stood behind this statement, we have seen in our two years of ownership, a number of updates, new features, and improvements to the system. The customer support is just a phone call away, I have never been on hold for hours, never had an issue go unresolved, and never had a bad customer service representative. 

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

Cake has very few drawbacks in my book. Some of the features may not be as expansive as other systems on the market, but customer support is good about helping you to figure out ways to accomplish what you want. Some of the features I have felt were missing, were actually addressed in updates over the last two years, so who knows what the future holds. Other than features, the reporting information does have some limitations as far as how detailed you can go, and some aspects of the menu design and order implementation are not as detailed or a customizeable as I would like. However, please note these are all really nitpicks of the POS, as no system is perfect, I really don't see these as things that would keep anyone from being able to use this system to operate their business. 

**Recommendations to others considering CAKE POS:**

I would say if you are thinking of using cake, find someone with the system and spend a day watching it in action. 

**What problems is CAKE POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cake has helped in 3 major ways over our last POS. 1. The order entry is much faster and easier for our staff and I can see this has helped our hourly numbers, we now do more sales in an hour more consistently than with our previous system. 2. The reporting has greatly helped my relationship with the owners. As a GM is was difficult to explain and produce easy and quick reports for the owner, with cake the owners have their log in info, and can get whatever sales and revenue information they want, from their phone or cpu anywhere! 3. Online ordering is a breeze for customers, and the orders flow seamlessly into cake and they are easy for our staff to process. This has been a great boost to our numbers and made our customers happy!

**What do you like best about CAKE POS?**

We have used several platforms for our restaurant and café locations. Our business model of a vestal platform that we can customize to our needs is a must. We also wanted something that was user friendly, good technical support and affordable. Cake has fit our needs and was affordable as well.  

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

I would suggest better inventory features. It will keep track of sales but would love a hand held or Ipad we could walk into kitchen and do inventory from. It will need ability for recipe building so when you sell a sandwich it knows everything it will take from your inventory to make.

**Recommendations to others considering CAKE POS:**

I would suggest CAKE products to any cafe or food service vendor. 

**What problems is CAKE POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We love the employee time clock feature and the back of the house reports. It also is easy to navigate and staff can find and ring items quickly.

**What do you like best about CAKE POS?**

Cake POS is extremely helpful in the reports you can generate. It really gives you a great overall look at your business's performance. Also, the customer service is amazing. They are always just a phone call away!

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

Honestly, there is not much I don't like about using Cake POS. I have used many different systems, and this, by far is my favorite. 

**Recommendations to others considering CAKE POS:**

I feel that Cake POS is easy to learn, navigate, and to teach on the fly. If you have used any other systems in the past, you'd see how easy it is to learn! 

**What problems is CAKE POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love how I am able to check in on my mobile device, no matter where i am, I can add/delete or update a menu item from my phone. It makes me feel connected when I am not able to be at the Pub.

**What do you like best about CAKE POS?**

I  worked and programmed register systems for over 30 years and I have been so pleased with working with CAKE.. The company and its people are very knowledgable and
helpful in every situation. They are quick to resolve any issue that arises. The system itself is so easy to navigate and program.  I couldn't have picked a better system. Also very well priced and dependable. We never had any issues with this system.

It is the best choice. I was told to use Square but I was never contacted by them after i filled out a questionaire. I am very thankful i wasn't. CAKE has been the best system I have worked with in 30 years

The ease of this system is amazing. Employees can learn it so quickly and the programming is a breeze.

Cake has a lot of functions that allow us to easily track every aspect of our business and inventory. The system is very easy for our staff to use and requires very little training. 

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

I needed a system that resets at every 14 tickets. Cake does not do that. I went on researching tons of register company’s and none of them have that option. I had reached out to cake about it again and the called me a couple weeks ago and it’s being implemented now!!

I’ve been able to raise my business 400% and don’t think it would of been achievable with another system.

Ease of use. Currently training 50+ employees and they are learning the execution quickly! Support is helpful and patient with us and helps walk us through the steps without being there. Ashley Udell listens to me at all times and really treats me with respect. 

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

some delays in processes - such as not able to split a check for some time. With that said, updates come eventually and the support team is always willing to hear suggestions.

**Recommendations to others considering CAKE POS:**

Do it - a great experience and I'm extremely happy we switched over. So easy to use and updates can be made quickly on the admin portal.

**What problems is CAKE POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick set up and ease of service. We really enjoy this system. Cost of the product is affordable too.  Truthfully I feel like I am a respected client and that my opinion matters. That is a huge benefit to me as my needs are usually met in a timely manner.

**What do you like best about CAKE POS?**

Cake was extremely user friendly, not only for servers and bartenders, but for Management functions and programming.  The tech support line was aleays answered in a timely fashion, as I never waited for over 2 minutes for support. The problems were fixed easily and I never got off the phone without a solution.

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

Still developing some software to take the system to the next level.

**What problems is CAKE POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cake is also the CC processor, so no need for extra terminal add ons.  Also has gift cards that can be utilized through the system.

The online ordering ability for our customers and the ease of menu additions and edits

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

The ability to run reports for a 6mo or 1yr timeline. Have to do monthly or 3 mo report which is more time consuming. 

Would love a direct app for the online ordering. Link does not work for all of our customers and it is a turn off for those who are more challenged.

No current problem. Have used POS systems before. Cake is a little behind on getting upgrades to the point of where some POS systems are or have been for a while. But am glad that they are working to get there - just wish timelines were sooner.

Simplicity and easy on the eyes interface.

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

The only thing I can think of is a minor issue that doesn't happen often.

If the router (cradlepoint) were to lose power for any reason, the POS can't be used at all until the router turns back on.

**What problems is CAKE POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have any problems I am trying to solve.

Benefits wise, I have a saved a lot of time doing the same things I would do on other POS like Micros or Leebro.

Easy to navigate, color coordinated, and simple to teach to others. Customer support is always fast and helpful. All around good experience.

There is no way to mark gift certificate sales

I purposefully asked my employer to implement cake in our restaurant because of its ease. Definitely try it out.

Nothing currently. The benefits I have realized range from quick service, to constant bug fixes and updates

**What do you like best about CAKE POS?**

Ease of use for the staff. Great administration control from off site.  Customer service is very responsive.

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

The system was based on a grab and go and self check out type food service.  Cake has been working on offering more options that a full service restaurant needs. Some of these things like an "86" list are yet to be offered. Cake has said that they are working to offer more features to full service restaurants.

Easy to transition from other point of sale systems

Ease of use away from the restaurant on a PC or mobile device, I can see the numbers at all times

The CAKE POS is very easy to use.  The system is intuitive and easy to teach new users! The tech support is AMAZING and always very quick to respond!

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

Sometimes the communication is forced, trying to resolve things at the CAKE persons time scale rather than my own.

The CAKE system has helped to streamline my menu and drive consistency between the front and back of house.

Their customer service is top notch, their system is so easy to follow! Everything you do you can find a report for. It is all so simple!

You cannot offer more than one reward at a time!

**What do you like best about CAKE POS?**

Ease of use.  The CAKE program is very to navigate and set up for you restaurant's use.  Also the program is very easy to train employees on.  Order pads are great as well, they have improved the staff performance and the customers experience.  

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

There is no option to remove the tax from a sales transaction.  You have to have to separate item keys that are set  up as tax exempt.

One of the best benefits has been remote access.  While away from the restaurant, you still monitor and access the CAKE program.

We are new to the restaraunt industry and Cake has made this transition really easy for us.  We love this system.   

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

There are only 2 things that I think Cake could improve on:  I would like to be able to run any report for any time period.  (I believe this is something that they are already working on)
I would also like my next day funding to my bank to come in the morning.

Cake will make your life much easier.

**What do you like best about CAKE POS?**

We love how easy is it to use the system and how efficient it is at pulling reports to do payroll, sales analysis, and menu analysis. We would definitely recommend this product to anyone who was wondering about it!

**What do you dislike about CAKE POS?**

We dislike the fact that they have changed the reports interface. They are still easy to manage but we liked the older version better. But they are working on solving it.

We definitely have solved price consistency since getting the POS system. And we have also realized we were losing a lot of money without it.

User friendly, upgrades are always useful and easy to implement. Customer service is amazing.

The system may slow is down a bit when bar customers are ordering single drinks in a large group. Other benefits outweigh this

Reporting function is very useful. Am able to make business decisions based on accurate sales data. Add and remove items based on usage and keep track of most profitable items.

Cake is a very simple POS to use and you can make changes to your menu very easily.

Sometimes the system will bog down a little bit and it takes a little bit longer to process an order.

I would recommend this POS to anyone who is thinking of opening up or is having issues with an existing POS system.

We were paying too much for credit card processing with a very complicated bill every month, I like the flat 2.5% fee we pay on all transactions.

It eliminated the need for a separate time clock, and makes accounting much easier with reports.
