It's this approach that provides real governance controls and true single source of truth for project & portfolio data, providing rich insights to all stakeholders, not just PMO. Bubble has transformed how we manage our projects and portfolios, allowing better control and visibility of issues, risks, actions, decisions, changes and more. The reports & dashboards functionalities allow you to really tap into this wealth of data. **What do you dislike about Bubble Software?** The lack of modern project planning capabilities is one of the biggest areas for improvement. However, it is in Bubbles DNA to listen, assess and react accordingly to customers requirements, however bespoke - this is now something that has been developed and pending in the next release. **What problems is Bubble Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had zero visibility of both projects, and the portfolio as a whole, working entirely from a shared Excel spreadsheet prior to adopting Bubble. Now, we have over 5000 live and completed projects in the system, which we can extract untold amounts of trends, KPIs and metrics from. We can now answer questions from the business around project performance, correct strategies, financial performance of a brand or set of projects etc etc, with the data on hand to back it up. I'm now able to make strategic advisories based on analysis of past performance, and show the data in a way that resonates with Executives. We can now assess projects at the earliest stage, score them across a number of criterias, and begin to understand the opportunities before committing resources, time and money to them. ### 2. Portfolio management was very manual using an excel spreadsheet with no ability to keep track of historical data or measure KPIs for continuous improvements. With the Bubble software, we have a single source of truth with all our projects in the system standardizing the way we manage projects and being able to pull different reports, dashboards and generate KPIs as needed. **What do you dislike about Bubble Software?** It is very slow especially when a lot of people are using the system. Some parts of Bubble are also somewhat clunky and not as user friendly which I believe are being addressed with the new upgrade. **What problems is Bubble Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** All aspects of project management (status, risks, issues, etc.) in one system to be able to extract single source of truth easily which we were not able to do without Bubble. Be able to generate KPIs and reports easily to measure how we are doing for continuous improvements. Bubble is a huge time saver and provides full transparency on where things are which were not feasible in the past. ### 3. Also, like that we can add users as needed but not pay for them until we need to. **What do you dislike about Bubble Software?** Version control is not well managed. Changes are made in the live system and then populate out without any notification. Also would like to have the development roadmap for upcoming versions and new functionality. We often hear of a need "that will be in the next release" but don't know when that is coming or if it even came out yet. Maybe a quarterly newsletter would be helpful to share that info as well as provide some common "tips and tricks" that some users may not know about? **What problems is Bubble Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bubble is allowing us to complete our stage gate and strategic projects in one tool which drives consistency and visibility into those work streams ### 4. This allows accurate reports to be quickly prepared for senior leaders and other stakeholders including Ministers **What do you dislike about Bubble Software?** The system is compatible with Excel but files cannot be quickly overwritten using Excel. This means some data fields need to be individually changed via the front end of the system rather than in bulk via Excel. Building of bespoke reports can be complicated as you need to know if data is a 'metric', 'attribute', etc **What problems is Bubble Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously capital programmes were reported through the use of multiple spreadsheets. Each programme had a different tracker that collected slightly different information and allowed 'free text' that increased room for error and made even simple requests for data difficult to respond to. Use of the Bubble tool has eliminated the use of different trackers, standardised the reporting metrics, standardised the reporting timetable and reduced the margin for error. ### 5. Approving new charters is also straight forward **What do you dislike about Bubble Software?** I am looking forward to the pro update to improve some user-friendliness of some of the modules, and am looking forward when we can utilize it for project management (timelines, deliverables, etc) not just portfolio management. Most of the pain-points honestly are self inflicted - decisions on how to use the software with C&D which make things more difficult than they need to be. **What problems is Bubble Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to bubble my portfolio was managed in excel and I am not able to manage it live within bubble, tied directly to the project charters so the data is always accurate and in sync. ### 6. Besides of this the visibility the tool is able to provide at different levels. We have a 100 project leads, leading over 1000 projects. The tool is able to give insight from an individual task up to aggreged program level. **What do you dislike about Bubble Software?** Adding additional tasks is not that easy thing. They have also adapted and edited the style and format of our Bubble page to accommodate our way of working. **What do you dislike about Bubble Software?** The system can be fairly difficult to navigate through at times and I occasionally get lost in the sidebar folders. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to add actions with individuals in the team. It is very customizable and the use of keywords helps filter data. It is also very easy to implement access / special permissions for different users to have different roles and visibility. **What do you dislike about Bubble Software?** Some of the usability for creating and editing the system (i.e. dashboards) is not straightforward so it can be a little frustrating trying to change the formatting to how I want things (it is a learning curve!). Having a summary at any time of all projects with their status is incredibly helpful. **What do you dislike about Bubble Software?** A substantial implementation effort may be necessary to get started, which is why the help from the team at Bubble PPM is invaluable starting from early stages. Establishing a consistent innovation process is a lot of work, but is also the most valuable outcome of using the system. **What problems is Bubble Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bubble PPM has helped organize a new product development process across multiple portfolios of developed and managed products. When we began scoping our need for a software solution, many projects were competing for priority, with separate managers and stakeholders each with their own perspective. At vFairs, we have a complicated business model requiring extensive customisation. Bubble PPM immediately understood our problem statement and effectively gave us an outstanding solution that caters directly to all our Project Management issues. Furthermore, their support and business continuity team has been fantastic in assisting us with our never-ending wish list of features which we had overlooked in our original scope of work; I don't think any software company is as flexible and helpful as Bubble PPM has been. We are incredibly appreciative of their brilliant customer service and continual cooperation in any problems that arise daily within the solution provided to us. Last but not least, fantastic UI and very easy to use product. **What do you dislike about Bubble Software?** Don't think there is anything I dislike about the product. However, I feel that feature updates to the product are a bit slower than expected, and Bubble PPM needs to up its game on Email Notifications & Alerts that come from the system. However, everything else that the product offers easily makes up for this point. **What problems is Bubble Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bubble PPM has effectively provided a solution that gives us excellent tracking for all our virtual events. It has also given us fantastic dashboard reporting for all the metrics we need packaging it into a beautiful UI. Bubble PPM has also given us a very robust resource allocation module that allows us to assign projects by looking at the workload capacity of our Project Managers. ### 15. A project page in Bubble encompasses both plan, various attributes, financials, risks, resource mgmt, scorecards, dashboards, document library and team collaboration possibilities. As such, it is clear that the system was designed and built by project management professionals as it offers a more holistic approach compared to other PM software providers. Elements that are often somewhat neglected such as governance enforcement and lessons learned are integrated into the system, seamlessly pushing a project excellence agenda. Additionally, the Bubble Team is very customer service-focused. It can be a little slow depending on your search engine but nothing to complain over. Stage gate sign off process is a nice easy to use tool and I like the progress bar which gives a PM an easy way of seeing the progress. Its really easy to get a project setup and go back in to edit information. I really appreciate the support from Bubble in terms of customer service which is excellent and also adaptations we ask from the system. The portfolio reporting side of the software is really useful and is nice and easy to search on key words from the portfolio view or create custom reports. **What do you dislike about Bubble Software?** I would love to see better dashboard visual reporting in terms of graphs and charts with the ability to customise on company branded colours - this would save lots of time having to do this manually if I could take a PDF download of the graphs needed already with company branded colours. I rave about the partnership built over the years I have worked with the Bubble; no matter what the problem or time of day, they are there to support with professionalism and solutions. I have truly never worked with an external company that provided a better design or service. **What do you dislike about Bubble Software?** That I personally (not Bubble) did not use all of the functionality the system/software offers - I simply ran out of time with all of the great functionality we did use! **What problems is Bubble Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** We identified an area of opportunity forthe Project Charters which was resolved by the smart and creative minds at Bubble. While we previously had multiple tabs for submitters to complete before and IDEA was deemed complete, the Bubble Developers identified a 'single view' option which streamlined the Project Charter submission process and allowed for new and current users to have a fresh and more efficient submission expererience. Export of a 4-box status and a plan on a page is not flexible enough to present. **Recommendations to others considering Bubble Software:** Simple functionality is there to manage portfolio lifecycle and software cost is reasonable. The Bubble team has been very responsive when we have suggested potential enhancements to the tool. While some have taken some time to implement, the Bubble team has communicated timelines and statuses extremely well. **What problems is Bubble Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Collaboration and communication across our organization. ### 24. I wish there were more options/ability to connect to the ERP system at my site. **What problems is Bubble Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a central hub for all of our innovation projects, and this was an off-shelf option that checked off all the requirments. All the projects and documents are encompassed within Bubble, reducing a lot of admin burdens. ### 27. I live the interface! The customers side, alone, has driven our revenue up 70% in the last 6 months! I love how easy it is for me to see the daily logs and what area it was from. The detail they provide is almost like having an assistant in house! It's as if I having someone doing my job for me. Thankful for this program as it had increased my work to life balance- making everything so streamlined that I can get out of the office sooner to spend more time with my family. **What do you dislike about Bubble Software?** There isn't anything that I just plain do not like. Sometimes it can take a little more time than I would like when I have to call their technical issue phone number but they always are super helpful and help me resolve the very few issues I have ever experienced using their software. **What problems is Bubble Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** We just could not manage our products efficiently in regard to which project to allot them to or what inventory was being taken up by what project.
