The Help Make Miracles site was recommended to me, but DonorDrive is the actual website that is used to create and track events. **What problems is Bonterra DonorDrive solving and how is that benefiting you?** I haven’t noticed a difference with the two sites (DonorDrive and Help Make Miracles) I just have to be careful about always going to DonorDrive, because that’s where I find the most success in navigating to my events ### 2. Support is still top notch in most cases. **What do you dislike about Bonterra DonorDrive?** The acquisition has seemed to slow down the roadmap quite a bit. It also seems like there might be more bureaucracy going on, which feels less focused on customers. There's still a number of features for individual giving forms and events that we'd love to see like more flexible layouts, upgrades to placeholders, sponsorship sales, and improvements to reporting. There also have not been any AI related upgrades, and I'd like to see this to ensure that the product isn't falling behind. There also seems to be less support coverage on chat, which is a bummer. **What problems is Bonterra DonorDrive solving and how is that benefiting you?** DonorDrive has helped us reduce administrative burdens on our operations, marketing and development teams. As such, there is a mix of: -Adults using it in an advisory/administrative role. -Student officers using it in a leadership position. -Student participants using it as a means to be part of the event. These are three widely different applications and yet the software seems to have come easily to all three groups. I enjoy how powerful it is, allowing me to export exactly the data I want with custom formatting. My students are able to provide troubleshooting for their peers without resorting to contacting me every time, and the normal users (event participants) are registering and creating teams with ease. **What do you dislike about Bonterra DonorDrive?** Minor, but I found I had to adjust a bit to some terminology. I had to learn what "Event Insights" meant and how that might be different from "Control Panel," for example. Every new piece of software has a learning curve, though. **What problems is Bonterra DonorDrive solving and how is that benefiting you?** A Mini-THON event involves hundreds of participants forming (and re-forming) dozens of teams while raising thousands of dollars. We simply couldn't manage it all without giving students a "them-facing" platform to do their own coordination. I’d like to go in and still see my account but I’m not able to do so. The downside is that is there is less customization in design to go deeper (using code to adjust the templates). Also, custom fields on forms are not completely fleshed out. For example, after creating a form for donation and registrations for constituents to complete there's no way to bulk import these answers as an admin. When we onboarded in 2018, it solved an immediate need which was a fundraising software that felt like it was modern, easy for the front end user, and had certain reporting features that would allow our fundraising staff to do the work of increasing fundraising revenue year over year. In addition, you have the ability to control which events can have these changes from the template. Customer Service is amazing! I work alot with Kristy and John and they are phenomenal to work with. Furthermore, if the issue is very complex, they do not mind setting up a call with you to discuss further. The reports are amazing compared to what I previously used in the past, not only does it have canned reports but you can also create your reports as well. Their knowledge base contains alot of useful documentation when using their product. Another great feature is the ability to register a large team using a .csv file in DonorDrive. **What do you dislike about Bonterra DonorDrive?** Whenever we create form that needs a few questions added, we need to log a support case with DD to have these fields added to the report. Takes one week to do. Running reports on a Monday, can take a while. This has always been an issue ever since we got this platform. No survey capabilities. The ability to change the price for a ticketed event requires a ticket. For ticketed event, there is not a way we can hide a specific ticket type from the public and to be shared only with a few participants.
