The Studio and Punchlist offerings have been a great success for our team and allows us to put out an awesome product. **What do you dislike about Bluebeam?** Almost has too many tools. These can be customized though to clean up your window and then shared with all your team members. **Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:** Really take the time to see what tools are available that could benefit your team. We were using the software for about 6 months until we figured out it could also be used for a Punch List solution. We have since used it for project closeout on every project. Bluebeam's Studio function has also been a great way for our team to collaborate while being remote. We are able to upload massive files that we can all work in and make markups collectively. It loads files very quickly so there is very little downtime in an internal meeting and really speeds up our day to day tasks. The ability for our team to collaborate while being remote is the feature of all! Going through an 80 page construction document submission has never been so easy. This is a feature we will continue to use on all of our projects going forward. It has replaced our typical plot out a drawing and lets review it. ### 11. Option to Edit PDF content is good because it helps to revise minor changes rather than making a whole new document. Combining files, deleting and adding pages is super easy with the UI. The authorized sign is a good feature which shows that if an engineer has digitally signed the sheet, we should not remove it. I have used it for converting my CAD into PDFs and then the measuring of dimensions in software makes it much more easy to handle than the AutoCAD Software. The advance markup tools integrate as one of the best tool for engineers and the Window Splitting feature helps me in auditing different PDFs to one another and the Search tool is also too easy to handle it have one more functionality of searching through the market function in a PDF and it searches for similar looking details in entire PDF. **What do you dislike about Bluebeam?** Although Bluebeam Revu is one of the finest PDF viewer I have used till date its UI is too boring doesn't have any good looking tab buttons and the Dark looking theme is too ugly to look for. The software is need to be upgraded that some of the graphics will look good. The software crashes sometimes but it is generally an issue caused by the over usage of ram of the system by any other application. **Recommendations to others considering Bluebeam:** I veryu much like to recommend Bluebeam Revu to all the engineers who work in MEP as well as Structural departments. **What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have solved many Engineering related issues i use it as my daily driver for reading all the PDFs. I generally use it to convert my heavy AutoCAD files to PDF and than taking measurements in Bluebeam Revu by calibrating the required CAD first. The Cloud markup and arrow markup is too good to mark all the area i have covered in my PDF. Split Vertical feature always helps me to compare the design created by me to the original design given. ### 16. Ease of use allows non-designers who are unfamiliar with other more complex design programs to add simple notes, arrows, and basic shapes to pages. This allows ideas to be quickly communicated across varying disciplines. I also enjoy the ability to work both on and offline. By working "online", the whole group can see immediate updates as they are edited. This is especially useful during meetings where a presenter can live-edit the document in front of the team. Working offline is also useful so that individual users can make personal notes, and publish them as needed. **What do you dislike about Bluebeam?** Added notes and items almost move around the page too easily. An auto "lock" feature would be helpful to keep arrows and other notes where they were originally placed. A minor problem is that it is at times unclear who authored comments - having a better way to track edits made by each individual would improve the software. Another issue is that can be difficult to insert photos as notes. I sometimes even convert Word documents to pdf so I can use Bluebeam Revu. The highlighting and typewriting tool - how one would add text without using a text box - are some of my favorite tools. The Pen, line , and shape tools are also ones that I use often when editing and checking documents. I started using this program at work only a few weeks ago, and I was quickly able to catch on to the shortcuts and how to use the tools. I had about a 20 minute training at work, but have learned everything else through trial and error. I'd definitely say that Bluebeam Revu is very user friendly. **What do you dislike about Bluebeam?** The only things that I dislike about Bluebeam Revu is that it is not easy to set different defaults at first, or change the defaults when you need them., For example if I have a green highlight that I'm using to check a document and I undo a mistake, it loads up the default yellow highlight again, instead of the green I had just set it to. The action/mistake is still removed, and it takes two seconds to change back. It's really the only annoying thing I've found with Bluebeam Revu. I also don't know the cost of the program, so that may change some opinions of the software, and I have never really used any other software like this. I've had Adobe but I never paid for the software to edit pdf documents. **What problems is Bluebeam solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being home from work, I don't have easy access to a printer so Bluebeam Revu helps when I need to review or edit documents by adding notes, highlights, or corrections. ### 27. It is very useful for generating individual files out of a large set that are uniquely named by the drawing number and name (or however you wish to name them), which then allows me to import those files into the program without the need for manually typing in the descriptions. Saves an inordinate amount of time at the start of a takeoff for each job. Revu is designed for construction personnel. I use it for reviewing documents and drawings, marking up, sketching, quantity take off, illustrating, presentations, flowchart and Org Chart creations - just almost everything. I convert word documents to PDF for reviewing. I add bookmarks as way-finder through large documents such as Specifications, Reports and Specifications etc. For drawing reviews or study, I compile large packs of PDF drawings into single PDF with drawing numbers visible under Bookmarks. With Revu you can have 2 (or more)drawings opened on your screen, from within the combined pack or separate files, for comparing eg Elevations and Sections or plans or details. Sometimes I use the auto compare feature in comparing updated drawing with an older version where the differences will be highlighted. The Search feature is extremely useful and I use it a lot in finding references in Specifications Codes and Reports etc. The Spaces feature is really good and impresses hugely when included within presentations. Signature feature also excellent. I use the Add Ins for Outlook, Word, Excel and CAD regularly. I find the Help Section and Bluebeam University incredible. The Developers really put themselves in the place of the "normal" user and provide excellent vide demos of all the features. **What do you dislike about Bluebeam?** Could use more hot keys and short cuts.
