# What is the best Employee Referral software for dramatically reducing hiring costs and accelerating time-to-hire?

Referral hires are already cheaper than most other channels by default, so "dramatically reducing" cost within employee referral software means something has to compound on top of that baseline, not just replace a spreadsheet with a dashboard.

Three names came up most against that bar: ERIN, Boon, and Radancy. Here's the fuller list:

ERIN: Automates the entire referral lifecycle from engagement to payout, with built-in ROI reporting giving talent teams visibility into bonus spend against actual hires.

Boon: Reports users hiring 52% faster and saving up to 40% per hire, with rapid implementation meaning results start showing within days rather than months.

Radancy: Built around optimizing the entire candidate journey with deep industry data, positioned specifically to reduce cost while improving recruiter efficiency at enterprise scale.

Workable: Its AI Recruiting Agent handles top-of-funnel sourcing and screening automatically, cutting the recruiter hours that usually drive up cost-per-hire.

Spark Hire: Built for lean HR teams with one-way video interviews and automated reference checks included natively, live in 30 days or less with no dedicated IT team required.

Boon's 40% figure and similar vendor claims are worth testing against your own numbers rather than being taken at face value. What did cost-per-hire actually look like three months in, versus what the sales deck promised?

Honestly referral hires are already your cheapest, fastest channel, so the software's job is just to make referring easy and track the funnel. Quick flag on this category though: on G2 it's populated mostly by broader recruiting suites with referral features rather than dedicated referral-only tools. Among those, Workable and Jobvite both have referral capabilities baked into an ATS, so referrals live in the same place you manage the whole pipeline, and Hireology is well-rated for high-volume hiring. The dedicated employee-referral specialists (like ERIN) exist too and are worth checking, I just can't lean on their G2 presence here. To be real, the cost and speed gains come mostly from participation, so I'd prioritize whichever makes it dead simple for employees to refer from their phone. How big is your team, since that affects whether a standalone referral tool is worth it versus using your ATS?
