Bluebeam has been one of the most valuable collaboration tools I've used. While Bluebeam is a strong collaboration platform overall, one area that could be improved is the process of tracking and managing comments among multiple users. As the number of reviewers increases, it can become difficult to efficiently follow comment threads, identify the latest feedback, and track the resolution status of markups. This can create additional administrative effort during the review process, particularly on large projects with many contributors. A more streamlined and intuitive comment-tracking system would enhance team coordination and improve the overall user experience. Perhaps just a better interface. I use Bluebeam for civil and general contracting takeoffs and bids. It's my go-to for any takeoff and detailing. I love how versatile and easy to use it is, and it's great for building a toolbox to cover all my items. I appreciate the ability to use a PDF drawing to create a full takeoff without needing to pull a paper copy, keeping everything electronic. I like its versatility and the ability to convert to several different formats, such as Word, Excel, and PDF. The setup was easy, and I rate it a 10 for recommending it to others. When you work with Bluebeam for 8–10 hours a day, you start to notice minor quirks that can interrupt your workflow—areas where a software update could be implemented to improve things. There could be better integrations overall. A true two-way communication channel between Bluebeam and Excel would be really nice. Also, they kind of just give you the software; the documentation is a bit lacking, so there isn’t a real onboarding process. On top of that, I’ve had an issue for over a year that support hasn’t been able to figure out how to fix. Finally, AI integrations would be helpful too, so I could use AI to assist with takeoff.
