We used to juggle multiple systems just to get people registered, track attendance, and follow up—and it was a lot of manual work that didn’t always connect back to Salesforce cleanly (i.e. tooooo many spreadsheets). Now with Blackthorn, everything’s in one place. We can build registration pages quickly, see who’s coming in real time, and all the info flows right into Salesforce without us having to chase it down. It’s saved our team so much time and made it easier to keep things organized—especially as we run more and more events across different states and virtually. Obviosuly being a Salesforce native app, it is incredibly helpful to track stakeholder engagement with our events in one place. There is a fair amount of flexibility and use cases for the functionalities it offers. Very friendly and helpful 1:1 customer service on the "office hours" side (pre-scheduled non-issue related). Very non-intuitive system with sometimes confusing object names...overall challenging to LEARN, even if you're generally tech-literate. Their onboarding modules and resource library are abysmally terrible for users to try to self-direct. There's a second version of the library now that is slightly better, but still has so much room for improvement. Customer service on the issues support side, while reasonably responsive most of the time, is not great. Tickets are handled via email and take time to resolve––live, on-demand phone support would be much preferable. I'm still trying to figure out the system many months in.
