## About Biel.ai
Biel.ai turns technical documentation into a reliable AI layer that users, developers, and internal teams can query from anywhere. The product exists for one reason: when your customers are engineers, documentation is how your product gets adopted, and answers about it have to be right. At the core is a retrieval system built specifically for developer content. Biel indexes your documentation sites, knowledge bases, and uploaded files, and treats technical elements as structured data. An OpenAPI specification is understood as endpoints, parameters, and return types. A code block is understood as code. An error message is linked to the concepts around it. This matters in practice: developers rarely phrase questions the way docs are written. They ask &quot;why is my token being rejected&quot; rather than &quot;authentication endpoint reference.&quot; Biel bridges that vocabulary gap and returns the actual answer, with citations that link back to the exact source pages so every response can be verified. Answers are generated only from your indexed content. If the information is not in your docs, the assistant says so instead of guessing. Everything runs from one indexed knowledge base, exposed through four channels: Docs site: An embeddable widget adds an Ask AI chat and an AI search experience to your documentation. Native integrations exist for Docusaurus, Sphinx, MkDocs, Antora, Starlight, Jekyll, Gatsby, Next.js, WordPress, and Confluence, and a single script tag works on any HTML site. The widget is fully themeable and typically live within 15 minutes. - AI tools: A hosted MCP server makes your documentation queryable from Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, and any other MCP-compatible assistant. Developers get accurate answers about your product inside the tools where they already work, without copy-pasting docs into a chat window. - Team chat: Native apps for Slack, Discord, and Microsoft Teams let anyone mention the bot in a channel and get a sourced answer from the docs. Support and engineering teams use this to stop answering the same internal questions repeatedly. - Your own product: A REST API with an OpenAPI spec, plus a full RAG-as-a-Service option, lets teams build custom in-product help, onboarding flows, or support tooling on top of the same knowledge base. Biel.ai is also a feedback loop for documentation teams. The analytics dashboard captures every question users ask, flags the ones that went unanswered, and highlights the pages where users gave up. Instead of guessing what to write next, technical writers get a ranked list of real content gaps, often before those gaps generate support tickets. Organizations report 60 to 80% fewer repetitive support questions and faster developer onboarding after deployment. Operationally, content stays fresh through scheduled recrawls, GitHub sync, or API-triggered updates. Security and compliance features include AES-256 encryption in transit and at rest, GDPR compliance with EU-hosted infrastructure, domain restrictions on widget embedding, role-based access control, SSO and MFA support, and a bring-your-own-keys option for teams that want to control their model provider. Customer data is never used to train models. Biel.ai is self-serve with a 14-day free trial and no credit card required. **What do you like best about Biel.ai?**

It was super easy and fast to get started. Documentation provided clear instructions for how to read our sites, and they are in different systems but it seems to read them all without trouble. Quick and helpful responses from support.

**What do you dislike about Biel.ai?**

Interface is still changing, and that's partially a good  thing because new features are coming in, but I've gotten lost in the UI or forgotten to scroll down to click "Save" to save changes, things like that.

**What problems is Biel.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit is learning what questions our users ask and whether the bot can answer them. We've made many doc updates when we learned that customers asked for particular info and the bot wasn't able to answer or that info wasn't available at all. It's also been helpful to route users to the correct site in our ecosystem.

**What do you like best about Biel.ai?**

I had the opportunity to implement Biel.ai on our platform and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the results. The product combines a highly effective data-crawling system with strong contextual reasoning, which allows it to deliver precise and well-framed answers to user queries.

One of the standout features is its ability to fine-tune the learning process. This ensures that the chatbot continuously adapts to the specific needs of our platform while reducing confusion and misunderstandings — a critical factor for maintaining a seamless user experience.

From my perspective as someone with extensive experience in technology and product development, Biel.ai offers a robust, reliable, and intelligent solution for managing customer support and documentation queries. I would highly recommend it to any online service that values efficiency and clarity when assisting its users.

**What do you dislike about Biel.ai?**

Since I tested Biel.ai in an early stage of its development, I did experience occasional hallucinations, particularly before the system was fully trained and fine-tuned to our specific use cases. This training process takes some time and effort. However, because all responses are tracked, it becomes very straightforward to identify where the model falls short and apply corrections effectively.

**What problems is Biel.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Biel.ai is solving the challenge of providing accurate, context-aware support to our users while they navigate our platform. Traditionally, handling customer queries required either extensive documentation that users rarely read or a large support team to manage repetitive questions. With Biel.ai, we’ve been able to automate this process effectively: the system crawls our web data, understands the context of each query, and delivers precise answers in real time.

This has significantly reduced the volume of manual support requests, improved the user experience by giving customers instant clarity, and allowed our team to focus on higher-value tasks rather than repetitive troubleshooting. The ability to fine-tune and monitor responses ensures that the system keeps getting better over time, making it a scalable and reliable solution for our business.
