Its tailored approach helps me address specific challenges and goals, whether it's improving leadership skills, managing stress, or advancing my career. The platform's convenient access to experienced coaches has been incredibly beneficial, offering practical guidance and support precisely when I need it. I used it to work on techniques to manage my anxiety, practiced my delivery, and even role-played answering tough questions. **What do you dislike about BetterUp?** Depending on your plan, coaching with BetterUp can be a significant investment. It took me some time to decide if the cost was justified for my needs. Overall it was worth it, but it is still on the pricier side of things. **What problems is BetterUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** BetterUp is helping me overcome a lot of my public speaking confidence and boosting the way I present myself in sessions and in presentations. ### 4. I wish I could keep one mentor and try out another with an Intro Call before the platform closes out the interaction. **What problems is BetterUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** They're supporting career exploration and growth! I am using BetterUp for career exploration and figuring out how I'd like to pivot away from customer-facing roles. On a B2B level, I think it would be an incredible tool for helping great talent grow and move within the business in a way that addresses and mentors employees on an individual basis that managers might not have the time for. ### 6. I have a personal coach, and I have also taken advantage of targeted coaching in communication and giving and receiving feedback. The dedicated time to work on personal development with an experienced coach is invaluable. I have been encouraged to take more time for self-reflection and to make my goals clear so that I can focus and better prioritize. At the end of each session, the coaches help me to create an action plan. They also share resources available on the BetterUp portal that are related to the topics we discussed. **What do you dislike about BetterUp?** I feel that I gained more from the 1:1 coaching experience than the coaching circle. There was a lot of material to review between coaching circle sessions, and at times I felt unprepared to engage in discussion. I think it's all about the time one puts into the program. I may have overlooked information about how much time needs to be invested to get the most out of the weekly circle discussions. **What problems is BetterUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** BetterUp is helping me to take a holistic view of my well-being so that I can be the best version of myself. Benefits so far are greater self-confidence and a stronger sense of achievement. I have also improved at setting boundaries in my personal life and communicating effectively on the job. ### 7. It provides you complete satisfaction in terms of personalized coaching and you can change coach until you find the right mentor. **What do you dislike about BetterUp?** Everything is good except the amount of coaching material they provide. Sometimes it's really tough to prepare yourself for discussions. Also initially it allows me to choose a coach between 3 coaches based on my skill set, in that case, I felt limited to learning. **What problems is BetterUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's great to have a well-experienced coach, also it creates greater self-confidence and a stronger sense of growth & improvement. It also helps you to improve your communication skills in your professional life. ### 8. I have heard from staff that they dislike how unhelpful it is but they have mentioned they have only tried once or twice so I don't think that's a fair assessment **What problems is BetterUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Employee morale is going up and employees have someone to talk to that isn't at work or isn't a family member or friend. Finding the right coaching for me and picking a coach, and then getting set up with the first session is super quick! I have done coaching before but not through BetterUp until now, and it's nice to have a tool that facilitates all of this and makes it easy. **What do you dislike about BetterUp?** I can't really think of anything that I dislike about the experience. I have recommended it to many of my colleagues and am talking to my org right now about getting it for my whole team. **What problems is BetterUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Professional development coaching in general. The main benefit is the ease of use and being able to find a match with a coach without having to do a lot of research all over the place. ### 10. Easy to use interface and scheduling. I would have preferred to choose from a list. I understand that the algorithm is matching me, but I felt limited. I wish I could have "shopped around" more. **What problems is BetterUp solving and how is that benefiting you?** I love getting coaching.
