I felt it forces us to move our all resources and services to Azure as it offers end to end services which is a bit monopoly i felt. often it takes time to add services to the portal and i need to refresh sevral times to get it added and even log out and login multiple times. Azure's user interface is intuitive and easy to use, which has made the transition to the cloud virtually effortless. I love how I can customize my Azure experience to meet the specific needs of my business and have been able to easily access scalable compute resources and a wide range of development tools, which has accelerated our ability to innovate and enabled us to meet the changing demands of our customers. What do you dislike about Azure Virtual Machines?

The cost of Azure services, I would like you to support small businesses like us with long-term credits. The complexity of some of the Azure tools and services, which can require a steeper learning curve, and integration with third-party tools can be tricky, resulting in a less seamless experience Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Azure Virtual Machines?

Numerous free resources are offered by Azure, including the Azure SDK and QuickStart templates. For programmers, it makes the process of making apps simpler.

A huge group of individuals work together using the same tools to solve challenges they are all experiencing at the same time.

Azure's built-in support for Git makes setting up a repository for our work and making our code accessible to the public simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Virtual Machines?

It is not always simple to recover from DRSync server outages. Our on-premises servers stopped responding after the fail-back was finished. Our servers need to be restarted after the fail-back.

File synchronization per directory requires more than 5TB. Unfortunately, technical support falls short of expectations. It's still difficult to customize WVD graphics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great way to spawn an environment within seconds"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Azure Virtual Machines?

Azure VMs allow to create a machine within minutes to run both Windows or Linux system. It allows to create a development environment, PoC or "computer in the cloud" that can be easily accessed and used remotely. Its easy to configure and run and the speed of operation (latency) is very good - machines can be used for tasks like coding, pentesting etc. It's really easy to create a disposable machine to be used in everyday work. Machines can be automatically powered down/up to keep costs under control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Virtual Machines?

Running more advanced configurations (e.g. containing specific physical video card for CAD rendering) is available only in specific regions. The creation of new small size machines from templates could be faster. While it takes several seconds it is still slower that on fast local PC. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Your Goto Enterprise Cloud Solution"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Azure Virtual Machines?

Microsoft has made Azure compatible with almost all Programming languages and third-party product integrations. Azure now becomes one single shop for migrating and integrating our existing cloud solutions, be it premise or hybrid Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Virtual Machines?

It is still challenging to migrate applications written in very old code to Azure web services. Instead, it feels easier to re-write the application on the latest platform, but this is not possible if you do not want to reinvest in your existing application Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great experience if you need detailed customisation of your hosting needs!"

What do you like best about Azure Virtual Machines?

I used my subscription mostly for its virtual machines. The best feature I enjoyed was how everthing was so scalable. I could literally choose any location, any additional resource I required and could see every peny/expense that was about to be incured. As compared to other providers in the same league, I found azure to be the most usee friendly as it does not overcomplicate things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Virtual Machines?

The thing I disliked the most was unavailablity of certain virtual machine instances temporarily. Azure should aquire more resources to cater this situation. Sometimes finding network settings for a particular vm becomes annoying, please make such things available on the main stats screen to make them a click away!
