What I appreciate most is how easy and efficient it is—especially Rise—for getting content out to our teams quickly. The suite has also grown a lot over the last year with AI, and it’s been great to see all the new features that have been added. I’m excited to see what’s next. Storyline isn’t as user-friendly, but it does seem to offer some functionality that you can’t get from Rise. Rise is easy to use, but it can also feel very standard and, over time, become overused. I like how easy Rise is to use and how quickly I can put something together when I need it. I use Storyline when I have more time and want to make something more energetic and engaging, and I like all that I can create with it. The new AI in Rise to help build courses is super amazing. In Rise, I can’t create my training directly in phone view. I create mobile-first content that goes to a learning app, so I have to keep previewing, finding my place in the training, and going back to change what needs changing. The platform offers solutions that work for all levels of instructional design. Rise is a very easy to learn and use platform, while Storyline offers more flexibility and dynamic learning options. Using both makes it a very powerful tool. The new AI and localization features are state of the art. The localization alone has a workflow that is second to none. Allowing our validators to review the translations in context and easily allow me to import the suggestions has been game changing. The AI feature is spectacular too. The ‘writer’s block’ on a storyboard is now gone. As an ID I can come to the table with something on my first meeting. The user interface is intuitive, and improved with Nova, and the performance has been great. Pricing is fair, considering what and how we use it. The support is sometimes not clear. I can open a ticket, but I don’t have anywhere to find that ticket or the status of my support. With the localization I don’t have a way to currently download the validation or approvals, it is only held within the tool. As a compliance based organization this is critical that we have this available for audits. Especially with the focus on AI, I need to prove that we have Human in the loop, and I need to be able to prove that in ways other than a screenshot showing the validation was complete, or that the email was just sent showing review was done. We also note that there is quite a bit of repetition within RISE using the AI feature. I would also like to see the incorporation of more block types, and not just the same flip cards, accordion files, and workflows. That’s not the best learner experience. It's a one stop shop for creating engaging and behavior changing courses. I use it because it's easy to use, but tough to master. That means it's very robust in its features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Articulate 360 still has some jank inside of Storyline. It feels not as loved as Rise. It could use some updating to bring it up to modern software standards. It works, but can be annoying to deal with. I dread working with it whenever I have to. Rise also has some weird options you can't change such as the continue button only appearing at the end of a lesson and not being able to change the height of the buttons in the button block. As someone who entered this field with little to no prior expertise, I’ve really appreciated how user-friendly Articulate is and how quickly I was able to pick it up. Being new to the field, I also valued the many opportunities to learn and get trained on both new and existing features. It keeps me motivated to improve and continue learning. I’ve even introduced the platform to different organizations, and it’s now starting to become a statewide tool we use to create trainings and guides for our clients. There are a few small things I don’t like about Articulate. One is that Rise 360 doesn’t (at least not easily) let learners answer free-text questions, save their responses, and then allow me to view those responses on the back end. I’ve read that there are ways to code this or use JavaScript to make it happen, but I’m still too much of a novice to try that right now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that Articulate is easy to use, mostly accessible, and easy to manage. The user interface is intuitive and easy to onboard new designers. It's also really easy to use for review with my SMEs. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth every time I have to open Parallels just to use Articulate Storyline. Much of the design community prefer to use Macs, so not having a native or web-based option native to a Mac is a real downside. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that it is an all-in-one system for training and course creation. From creation to review and an LMS. We are more than happy with our use of Articulate for employee training and compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is very little I dislike about Articulate 360. Thus far, I have been very happy with it. However, I am not the most familiar with the differences between the products Storyline and Rise and think that could be better explained for utilization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ability to for a previous PowerPoint user to create modules and presentations and basically dream up what you want and do it on a screen Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Storyline has a steep learning curve. Rise is much much easier to learn but does not do the things that storyline does. Within rise there are some aspects like the graphics which doesn’t let you edit as much as you want and sometimes I have to go to Canva to get and edit images for me. Same with the cropping function. The options and ease of placing multiple media into the same lesson. I like to be able to put the lessons in a LMS, direct link, or embedding it depending on need. The AI features are great, as I am already a SME who needs to get to work and not confirm content with anyone else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The UI - specifically the menu - could use some work. The pages themselves are good but some features feel hidden. Changing how something looks is also time-consuming as you have to go over the menu each time to get to the area that needs to change (e.g. picture overlay). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
