**What do you like best about Apideck Unify?**

The Unified API saves us an enormous amount of development time. Instead of spending months building and maintaining individual integrations, we can access all the platforms we need through a single API. Real-time data synchronization without caching delays has been a game-changer for us. The documentation is clear, the SDKs are solid, and the developer experience is excellent. The admin portal allows us to manage integrations and credentials without building our own UI from scratch.

Some integrations don't cover every edge case or niche feature we'd like.

**What problems is Apideck Unify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customers use a wide variety of ERP systems, and we needed to connect to all of them. Building and maintaining each integration individually would have been a nightmare – different APIs, different auth methods, different data structures. Apideck Unify lets us handle all these ERP connections through one consistent API. This has drastically reduced our development effort and allows us to onboard new customers much faster, regardless of which ERP they're running.

Their support is amazing, and they add more API support when we request it, we utilise the services everyday as part of our client onboarding process. 

We've implemented it with PHP, but there is support for multiple languages.

We have not experienced any problems with API deck, so there isn't anything to dislike.

We needed to integrate with a number of HRIS providers, each with their own APIs, weird behaviours.

**What do you like best about Apideck Unify?**

There are many things I like about Apideck having done many integrations directly in the past.

Here are those to shine:

1) it provides a very clean end user experience which matters a lot when comes times to expand your product. The additional user interfaces integrated well within the user experience we already provided. And that with minimal work from our part.

2) the back end to understand and troubleshoot is clear and easy to use. 

3) implementing it is a breeze (as in a few hours, not days or weeks).

4) it shows they care at every step. And as an example, on a specific situation where ZohoCRM was needless to help us troubleshoot a problem, they assisted us until we could determine without a doubt where the problem actually was.

5) the list of software they integrate with is large

**What do you dislike about Apideck Unify?**

Two things:

1) you have to be conscious of your API usage: it can grow very quickly and when developing it will force you to move to the launch plan rapidly.

2) the lack of ability to extend the product: we had some specific integrations we needed that were not offered as of yet on their platform (that being said they did offer to work with us to extend it for us).

It allowed connecting our AI assistant to multiple platforms rapidly without having to do specific work for each CRM platform we intended to connected to. 

Also, it resolves the whole Oauth2, authorization, exchange process.

I really like Apideck Unify's broad coverage and how supportive they are in creating new connections with new Cloud accounting software. It's valuable to us because it allows us to scale without additional development budgets, as Apideck takes care of developing new connections. The documentation they provide is very clear, so we knew what we had to do to develop the connection, making the setup pretty straightforward.

Apideck Unify connects multiple ERP systems without individual development. Their broad coverage and support for new connections allow us to scale without extra development costs, simplifying integrations with clear documentation.

Apideck Unify takes away the pain of building and maintaining dozens of API integrations. Instead of spending months developing connectors to each third-party service, we were able to plug into multiple providers with a single, unified API. Their documentation is clear, the SDKs are solid, and the developer experience is top-notch. The admin portal is a great bonus — it allows us to manage integrations and credentials without building our own UI from scratch. Overall, it’s saved us huge amounts of dev time.

**What do you dislike about Apideck Unify?**

While the platform is powerful, the pricing may feel steep for early-stage startups with tight budgets. Also, depending on the category, some integrations may lack support for more advanced or niche features. That said, the Apideck team is super responsive and has been open to feedback and roadmap suggestions.

**What problems is Apideck Unify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apideck Unify solves the massive headache of building and maintaining multiple accounting software integrations. We use it to connect with Sage, Exact, and QuickBooks — syncing customers, invoices, payments, credit notes, and more. Without Apideck, we’d have to manage each API individually, deal with different authentication flows, data formats, and error handling quirks. Instead, we get one consistent, unified API that abstracts away all that complexity.

This has allowed us to ship faster, reduce engineering overhead, and focus on delivering core value to our customers rather than wasting time reinventing the integration wheel. It’s been a huge time-saver and has made our platform much more scalable.

**What do you like best about Apideck Unify?**

We migrated away from an industry leader in the finance space, to utilise Apideck's accounting software integrations and we were very pleased with the whole experience; the ease of it, the speed of it, the cost of it. The team were keen to engage with us and develop a plan. They didn't try to upsell features that we didn't need. They responded quickly and effectively when we made requests, and even fixed bugs that we found. The API works well and the ability to audit everything through their dashboard has helped us on numerous occassions.

**What do you dislike about Apideck Unify?**

The only downside I can think of is that I think their support for some of the more niche accounting platforms is still lacking, but that very rarely holds us back.

**What problems is Apideck Unify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We ingest data from our customer's accounting packages (Xero, Quickbooks etc). Apideck's API made it very easy for us to implement an onboarding process and then services regular "pulls" of their data into our platform. This enables us to have deep insights into the financial health of our customers, which leads to a more comprehensive underwriting process.

It has a lot of options and functionalities that we as a global payroll application are using to link with HRIS systems but also to local payroll applications.
Next to the standard api layer, because of the complexitiy of payroll, we can do specific api calls via ApiDeck which makes it really powerfull.

It s not always very easy to know what to configure where, but once this is set up, it works very smooth!
But the team is always listening when I have a question!

We need to connect to different HRIS softwares, but just the ease of authenticating and api-call-logs makes it a benefit.
Next to that a lot of fields are mapped out of the box, so we need to look at specific mappings we need.

Apideck has excellent documentation, and you can quickly create an account and get started.
Their authentication and configuration UI were easy to use and saved us significant time by not building it ourselves.
We were able to build our accounting integration entirely on the free plan, which covered all our needs.
Overall, the pricing is very reasonable, with unlimited consumers and passthrough support even on the Launch plan.
Its extensive customization options were essential for handling a few special cases we had.

**What do you dislike about Apideck Unify?**

Some fields were not available without customizations.
There's no option to customize the configuration guide and setup instructions.
It would be nice if the same account could be used across different environments and they didn't have access to other environment data.
We'd like to have the option to restrict API clients from reading saved configurations.

We used Apideck to integrate our accounting software with NetSuite for creating journal entries.
We plan to gradually replace the manual CSV export/import process our customers previously relied on.

We’re very pleased with our collaboration with APIDeck. Their platform enables us to offer integrations with a wide range of HRIS systems, which is a significant value-add for our product. One of the things we appreciate most is their proactive maintenance—when changes occur on the HRIS side, APIDeck responds quickly and ensures stability across integrations.

Despite being a relatively small company, they are highly responsive and genuinely listen to customer feedback. Issues are addressed promptly and with care. We particularly value the dedicated Slack channel they provide for support, which gives us flexible and direct access to their team.

Apideck Unify’s biggest strength is its unified API layer across multiple HRIS systems. Instead of spending weeks building and maintaining separate integrations for platforms like BambooHR, HiBob, or Workday, we were able to get up and running with a single, consistent interface in hours. 

The unified data model is thoughtfully designed and covers core HR functionality—employees, departments, time off, and payroll—making it ideal for SaaS platforms working across a fragmented HR tech landscape.

**What do you dislike about Apideck Unify?**

Selective support per connector—some HRIS services only support certain resource types. Ideally, we need all connectors to have the ability to create an employee in the API; some connectors don't support this feature.

**What problems is Apideck Unify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to integrate with multiple HRIS platforms to support a wide range of client systems—but building and maintaining direct integrations with each provider was time-consuming, inconsistent, and resource-heavy. Apideck Unify solves this by offering a single, standardised API that connects to dozens of HRIS platforms with a unified data model.

This has significantly reduced our development workload and maintenance overhead. Instead of managing separate logic and authentication flows for every HR system, we now interact with one consistent interface. It’s allowed us to accelerate our product roadmap, onboard clients faster, and provide a more seamless user experience across varied HRIS environments.

The built-in logging, error monitoring, and connector management tools have also improved visibility and troubleshooting, saving our team even more time.

Documentation is really clear, we were able to code a proof of concept in one hour. The built-in JavaScript component for Vue helped us a lot.

User experience to link an accouting package such as Xero is smooth. Once linked the service is very robust, always returning fresh data.

Pricing is transparent.

REST API is very well crafted. Well organised and documented.
Internal dashboard and request logging capability is very useful during development.

As a marketplace, we need to support various accounting integrations like QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, and Xero, as well as CRM software like Salesforce, Mailchimp, and HubSpot. Instead of building individual integrations with each vendor, Apideck Unify provides us with a valuable abstraction layer, making the process plug-and-play and significantly simplifying our integration efforts.

**What do you like best about Apideck Unify?**

Apideck makes it easy to integrate with multiple third party APIs at once by just implementing one single "unified" API. Their documentation is conclusive and detailed all the while their support is very responsive as well. One thing I particularly like to stress is the detailed logging insights they provide in real time with all raw requests and responses. This is hugely helpful during development, as well as for debugging of all sorts.

Some third party APIs we would want to see in the apideck offering are still missing. However their feedback and responses after asking for these APIs is promising, they are definitely listing to their customers!

Apideck unifies APIs to communicate to third party software of different categories, such as CRMs or HR Tools. In our product, we want to offer a broad range of CRMs to integrate with. Apideck makes this really easy as we only have to integrate one single API to communicate to Apideck, while they will forward the data to the respective true provider.

One of the most challenging aspects of our work has always been CRM integrations. Apideck has made this process seamless and scalable, which has not only solved a major pain point for us but has also opened up opportunities to imagine and create new types of business solutions that were previously out of reach. Highly recommended!

**What do you dislike about Apideck Unify?**

However, the onboarding process could be smoother. It can be a bit complex to wrap your head around the different layers of the product (consumers, apps, etc.). But once you get the hang of it, it’s a beauty to see it scale effortlessly with more and more customers.

One of the most challenging aspects of our work has always been CRM integrations. Apideck has made this process seamless and scalable, allowing us to integrate effortlessly with our customers' CRMs. This integration is crucial, as it enables our AI agents to pass on relevant customer data seamlessly to their backend systems.

**What do you like best about Apideck Unify?**

APIDeck Unify strikes the right balance between integration catalog, functionality and pricing for an Unified API solution. We've conducted experiments to build a direct integration with Netsuite vs. using API deck and the latter approach is indeed faster for the simplest of use cases. The team behind and GJ (API Deck CEO) was very flexible in terms of service agreement and we've never had major issues getting some Product Support via their Slack channels.

Some of our 3rd party app needs are not part of the line-up, however as part of our contract the API deck team has offered to accomodate connector requests. 
Another is, of course the limitations of the Unified API Integration approach in general in terms of standard fields. There are some complex integration requirements that are not yet part of the standard model.

Time to value of building integrations to HRIS (for Employee Profile) and Accounting (for Journal Entries)

- Accelerates development. As I said in the title, we were able toship our new QuickBooks integration in less than 3 weeks, and Xero in a week. 2 years ago it took us more than a month to ship a buggy QBO integration while working directly with the Intuit API. So clearly API Deck fulfilled its mission of abstracting the complexity from us :) 
- Simple documentation, great developer experience, our engineers are big fans. 
- Super helpful dashboard with logs to investigate errors: useful for myself (Product manager) and engineers to get context when we have delicate cases to solve.
- API Deck team is very responsive to feature and support requests.

**What do you dislike about Apideck Unify?**

Some endpoints are missing still (Expenses) but the API Deck team told us it's one of the top priorities for the end of the year.

**What problems is Apideck Unify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we're a small team trying to focus on our core business, API Deck is really helping us on 3rd party integrations. Accelerate the development of new accounting (and in the future, other verticals: CRM, HR for instance) integrations. We were able to release our QBO integration in less than a month, and will be able to release Xero in less than 2 weeks of development.

The main draw for using apideck was only needing to build a single integration. Once the integration is built it's just a simple case of toggling the connectors you want to use in your app. Also, no longer having to worry about the maintainence of multiple connectors takes significant stress off the development team and frees them up to work on features.

The customer support is also fast and efficient.

The only downside I've experienced is some incomplete connectors. Some connectors don't have the full functionality yet implemented, but you can request it from the apideck team and they will bump it up the priority list.

1. Support - the APIdeck team have been there through the whole process when we've have questions and been very quick to respond to feature requests.
2. Expanding integration library - APIdeck are consistently bringing new integrations online which means added value for us and our clients. They also promptly respond to requests for new data to be added to existing integrations and often can make it happen for us. 
3. Ease of use - Once the vault is embedded it's easy for our clients to implement and manage their integrations without intervention from us. This is a huge timesaver for us. 
4. Visibility - Being able to see what calls are being made and what's returned has saved our support team a lot of time on those occassions that clients have asked for help.

**What do you dislike about Apideck Unify?**

1. Partnership requirements for some connectors - The need to partner with some of the companies we want to integrate with has been burdonsome and time consuming. Some companies actually make it difficult/costly enough to partner with them that we've abandoned using their connectors/integrations at this time.

Apideck is allowing us to do user provisioing for our clients with multiple (25 and counting) HRIS systems through the use of their unified HRIS endpoint. We'll also be looking at using the Unified Calendar and Files endpoints when they're available in the future.

apideck understands how companies want to use unified APIs. Out of all the options we looked at, apideck was the only one that offered deep read/write integrations with their supported connections. Their team is extremely responsive to requests and issues that come up, their docs are first-class, their api is incredibly easy to use and understand, and their vault product is the best way I've seen a company handle embedding third-party auth.

**What do you dislike about Apideck Unify?**

There are some data properties we need that aren't fully supported yet, but the apideck team cranks out field support incredibly quickly. It might take some time for a property or object to get implemented, but you get that property/object across all connections for that API once it is, so it's worth the wait for us.

We were looking for a unified accounting API that's capable of handling all the properties and objects we wanted to read and write. Every other solution came up short; apideck goes deep into each integration instead of just handling quick reads to check a box. Their authentication/security solution means we do not have to worry about credentials for our customers when integrating 3rd party solutions into our app. We've built an SMS integration and it was so easy to set up a basic solution where our customers can connect to their SMS provider and start sending text messages right within our UI.

The API is not complete, and some endpoints are missing, especially for edge cases. However, their proxy endpoint allows us to relatively simply work around this, and even though we have to write custom code for each vendor for those specific endpoints, we still get the benefits of the authentication.

The ease of setup for Authentication and adding additional CRM providers is excellent. In general, getting things set up and running was easy. The ability to view both the API deck calls and the underlying CRM calls has helped debug underlying issues. I have found their pricing to be fair and transparent. The team has been very responsive to feature requests and other issues we've encountered. This has built trust and confidence in their ability to meet our current and future expectations.

**What do you dislike about Apideck Unify?**

We've run into issues with getting all the fields we've wanted in responses from specific CRM calls. These issues appear to result from the underlying CRM provider APIs, but understanding which fields we can expect a provider to provide consistently has been challenging to understand. Aside from authentication, consistency of the response object shape, fields, etc., is the most significant selling point for using a unified API from our perspective. In addition, I think API Deck's ability to add more filters and more required fields in response objects will be incredibly valuable in supporting a variety of customer use cases in the future.

It has been a bit confusing to understand the individual services that API deck includes, what each of them does and how often we'd need to use each. It feels like this adds unnecessary friction to what is otherwise a hugely time saving product. These are all small dislikes relative to the time saving and market coverage it provides.
