Anewstip provides an excellent media database that offers more and more appropriate contacts than the usual Cision search. As a solo PR pro, it is invaluable and at a reasonable price!

**What do you dislike about Anewstip?**

The only drawback, and it is a minor one, is that it takes a little while to master the logic for a specific search, but that is true with any media database.

The amount of data that is filterable is phenomenal. I appreciate the design and easy way to sift my News outlet, Journalist or topic.

Sometimes when I'm looking at a journalist profile I am seeing articles that aren't there, so I'm not sure where it's pulling from. For high-level media outreach it's important to have good information about their background, so further evaluating how to get good info here is helpful to save time.

This tool is great for small business owners in PR that need something that is effective and much lower in cost than the industry standard options.

**What problems is Anewstip solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Anewstip?**

I love the way the profiles of the journalists are set up when I search for a keyword. I love that the tweet is shown and I can quickly see what each person said about that keyword at a glance.

**What do you dislike about Anewstip?**

I dislike not being able to see the contact information of the journalist unless I upgrade my account. Then I have to go on a rat chase to find a way to get in contact with every single journalist on my list.

**What problems is Anewstip solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am finding way more accessible and approachable outlets to contact that look like they will be very good leads, especially with the refining features of the search.

  ### 14. Free trial is great for a tight budget and a tight deadline. You have to put in the work, though.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Anewstip?**

Anewstip's best trait is its accessibility. Its free trial lets me build media lists and gain publicity for projects that don't have the budget to pay for a media relations software. Other PR softwares have free trials or demos, but they require the user to go through a way more involved process to access even a limited set of free tools. Anewstip let me get the tools I needed instantly.

**What do you dislike about Anewstip?**

I dislike the limitations that come with the free trial, obviously. The limitations aren't debilitating, though; it just takes a lot more digging around on other platforms to get the info I need.

I will say, however, it sucks big time that there's a limit of 2 media list on the free account. Wish I could delete 5 "example lists" come with the account and use those slots for additional lists, but that's annoyingly impossible on Anewstip . Literally the equivalent to Spotify pushing people to buy ad-free premium by making its self-promoting ads as obnoxious as audibly possible.

**What problems is Anewstip solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm building much more comprehensive media lists than I'd be able to without a free software like Anewstip. The biggest problem I had before using Anewstip was my limited scope of international and niche media outlets. Anewstip has made it surprisingly easy to uncover super relevant media outlets.

  ### 15. A great way to get your story out there

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew T. | Art Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Anewstip?**

Anewstip makes it easy to narrow down your search for journalists with advanced search that indexes tweets and articles

**What do you dislike about Anewstip?**

The service looks a bit outdated, but that doesn't majorly hurt usability

**What problems is Anewstip solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using Anewstip to find journalists to pitch stories to, and so far it's helped us narrow down a list of writers to reach out to.

  ### 16. Anewtip Has Been Extremely Valuable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** R S. | Marketing Technologist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Anewstip?**

Imagine being able to type in any keyword and have Twitter profile of journalists who have created Tweets and new articles about about your product and get their phone and address to send a pitch to help them come up with new content and have your link in their article.

**What do you dislike about Anewstip?**

Nothing really. The free trial is a little space but very usable.

**Recommendations to others considering Anewstip:**

Do the free trial.

**What problems is Anewstip solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding the right people who can be contacted about your product or service and get your site out there and get more followers.

  ### 17. Great product, great price!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachael H. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Anewstip?**

I like the price of Anewstip - as a freelance publicist, I cannot afford a high cost. Anewstip lets me get my work done quickly without breaking the bank.

**What do you dislike about Anewstip?**

Update double listings more often - also if you are searching on the home screen, when you click from a Twitter to journalist profile, for example, whatever you search for a Twitter will not automatically stay there when you switch to journalist profile. You have to retype it. That’s annoying

**Recommendations to others considering Anewstip:**

It’s a great service.

**What problems is Anewstip solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have helped launch a new organic skincare line and made my client very happy with the results I’ve gotten.

  ### 18. Intuitive and easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marina T. | Co-founder & COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Anewstip?**

Very simple interface and great way to find journalists

**What do you dislike about Anewstip?**

Wish the free version allowed mods than 2 lists. Also not all tweets and journalists come up. Some results not relevant

**Recommendations to others considering Anewstip:**

Give it a go

**What problems is Anewstip solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re a start up and don’t have a PR department so this helps us bootstrap it
