### 3. Amplitude Session Replay, good tool to debug and resolve CS tickets

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ShravanSingh R. | techAnalyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Amplitude Session Replay, good tool to debug and resolve customer support tickets.
here when customer says something seems broken, we can easily navigate through and write steps to recreate and create a bug on backlog
we can easily find by name, email or any tracked attributes.
Sensitive info (like passwords or credit cards) is hidden automatically
dev took just 15 mins to have this integrated.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

features that are missing.

PII and PHI need to be hidden or blurred & and can only be viewed by having authorized by that user.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ease to resolve customer support ticket
easy to write steps to recreate and create a bug on backlog
easy to use : we can easily find by name, email or any tracked attributes.
Sensitive info (like passwords or credit cards) is hidden automatically
easy implementation

**Official Response from Tamara Kecman:**

> Thanks so much for sharing your experience! Love hearing that Session Replay is helping your team quickly resolve support tickets and simplify bug tracking; that's exactly what we hope to see. Glad the setup was quick for your devs, too! Great point about improving how sensitive information is managed; I'll pass that along to the team. Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review!

 ### 4. Extremely useful for debugging

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aditi S. | Lead Customer Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The UI is great, very intuitive and the onboarding is pretty self-explanatory.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

maybe could introduce more AI related features.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude ties session replay directly into product analytics, this is extremely helpful in debugging.

 ### 5. Easy to Use, But Needs Better Filtering

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fahad C. | Senior Full stack developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I like how easy it is to understand and use Amplitude Session Replay. It was easy to set up too.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Filtering can be improved. It's hard to get a specific user by search when there's too much data, like in production. When live events are turned on, the UI breaks most of the time.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay lets me see which page users come from and their average time in ai chat, improving understanding.

 ### 6. Using Session Replays to Improve UX/UI for our Website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

It is so insightful to see how users are interacting with our website. I have already started sharing this feature with colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

It would be great to use AI to analyze the session replays and extract the key user behaviors and patterns. PMs could use this to improve the UX/UI.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to see how people are interacting with our Newsletter Subscription page. Session replays will help us understand if the user flow is clear and where users are potentially running into confusion or issues.

 ### 7. Excellent Replay Filtering and Generous Free Tier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

- the ability to filter replays of a specific segment of a chart is very good.
- the amount of sessions recorded for the free tier is good
-

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

not being able to specify filters on the sdk level for capturing the replay! I see many sessions recorded from out of country that I don't care about and are one or zero seconds long! that consumes my session replay quota but is not useful at all

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it has allowed us to look for dropouts in our funnels and identify ui/ux issues on mobile and desktop. the ability to narrow down the replay to specific events is great.

 ### 8. Horrible Support: No Help or Solutions When Issues Arise

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Admin G. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

When it is working (not much likely), it is cool that they put you only the parts of the session replay where there was activity, not the full time

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The support is horrible. I've tried to solve 2 or 3 problems and no one was able to help me, and no solution proposed, not even a videocall so I could show them my profile.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing how the users interact with the platform

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Hey there, Thank you for taking the time to share such candid feedback with us. It’s helpful to hear that, when it’s working, Session Replay helps you better understand how people interact with your platform. We’re very sorry to hear about your experience with support. Your experience is not the standard we aim for, and we’d welcome another chance to work with you directly to resolve the Session Replay issues you’ve been seeing.

 ### 9. Instant Insights, Minor Improvements Needed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco P.

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I like that Amplitude Session Replay provides instant value. It's easy to pick a replay and rewatch it, allowing me to get immediately useful insights. The initial setup was pretty easy.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I think I would add aggregated metrics of the replays. It's painful to watch replays 1 by 1.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to understand user behavior, identify frictions, and spot unclear UX areas. It provides instant value with easy access to replays for immediate insights.

 ### 10. A Powerful Analytics Tool That Helps Drive Product Decisions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** POOJA P. | Product Analyst, Security and Investigations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

It lets us visually understand user behavior behind the data. We can watch sessions where users abandon or struggle, which helps uncover usability issues that metrics alone wouldn’t reveal. Filtering sessions by specific user actions also saves a ton of analysis time.

The interface is clean, the playback is smooth, and it's well-integrated with the rest of Amplitude. It’s especially helpful for identifying UX issues that might not be visible in metrics alone. Being able to filter sessions by user segments or actions (like rage clicks or drop-offs) saves a lot of time during analysis.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Recordings can sometimes be slightly delayed or jittery. The filters are powerful but a bit overwhelming at first. We also wish there was a way to add notes or tags directly within the replay to aid team collaboration.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’ve been using Amplitude for over 6 months in my role as a Product Analyst, primarily to understand user behavior, retention, and conversion funnels across our digital platforms. It’s become a core part of our product decision-making process.

The features I rely on most include Funnel Analysis, Cohort Analysis, and Custom Dashboards. The funnel view is particularly helpful in identifying drop-offs during user journeys, while cohort tracking has improved how we measure long-term user retention. The dashboards are clean and easy to share with stakeholders, which makes collaboration with product and marketing teams seamless.

The Session Replay feature has been a game-changer. It solves the problem of not knowing why users behave a certain way. While analytics shows us the numbers, replays let us see user behavior in action — like rage clicks, hesitation, and drop-offs. For example, we discovered users were getting stuck on a form with poor layout, something we would’ve missed just looking at event data. This helps our design and product teams make fast, informed decisions to improve UX.

What I like best about Session Replay is how smoothly it's integrated into the platform. We can watch user sessions in real time and correlate them with event metrics. Filters for user actions (like drop-offs or frustration signals) make it easy to prioritize which sessions to review.

That said, the replay sometimes feels slightly delayed or jumpy — especially with longer sessions. Also, the filtering system, while powerful, could be more beginner friendly. Having inline annotations or collaborative tagging features would make the experience even better.

Overall, Amplitude has helped us adopt a much more data-driven approach to product building. It bridges the gap between quantitative metrics and qualitative user behavior, which is incredibly valuable.

 ### 11. Amplitude session replay

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shankar M. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

While there is always SQL to help you with user data, there is no debate that seeing a replay of users live behaviour in the platform beats everything. Helps me learn a lot on the micro-irritable points that they experience, but can't articulate yet.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Not sure there is much to dislike about this. Nonetheless, if i had to, i'd say while the quick 'red' mouse movements are great - before moving to the new page/module a quick mapping of users overall journey would be good to have, so that the flow is also etched in product teams memory.

Also, mouse movement is much more easily visible, than click tracking.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do have analytics/SQL that we could look into But amplitudes session replays help me with identifying the areas in the platform where the flow is not intuitive to a new user. Furthermore, the pockets which even a experienced users spend more time/struggle with.

 ### 12. Good in features and performance for session recording

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhiram M. | Software engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The visual debugging capability is very helpful. The implementation was straightforward with good documentation, and it integrates seamlessly with our existing Amplitude setup. Customer support has been responsive when we've had questions. We use it frequently for troubleshooting user experience issues

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Sometimes there's a slight learning curve for team members who are new to session replay concepts.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using it, we'd spend hours trying to recreate issues based on vague descriptions like "the page doesn't work" or "something broke during checkout". Now, when users report problems, I can watch their actual session recording to see exactly what happened which buttons they clicked, what errors appeared, and where things went wrong. This has help reduced our debugging time from hours to minutes. So the main benefit is speed and accuracy, instead of guessing what went wrong, we can see it happen in real-time.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Abhiram, Thank you for sharing this! We know how frustrating those vague “something broke during checkout” reports can be. It’s exciting to hear that Session Replay is turning hours of guesswork into just minutes, giving your team the clarity you need to solve issues quickly and confidently.

 ### 13. Finally understand why users struggle on our website and Essential tool for any product team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhirami k. | software engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

we can quickly watch exactly what users do on our website without any technical setup. The ease of implementation was very smooth, and customer support helped us get started fast. We use it frequently because the output is really satisfying. There are number of features available so we can analyze user behavior. we can easily implement with existing amplitude set up.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

While the ease of use is generally good, but connecting with some third-party tools requires more manual configuration.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay is solving our biggest challenge of understanding why users abandon our website or struggle with specific features. Before using it, we could only see analytics numbers showing where people dropped off, but we had no idea why. this is the biggest challenge we were facing , now we can understand why is that and can solve those issues. this fixed major checkout flows, user responsiveness issues. Amplitude has led to better user experience and increased customer satisfaction.

 ### 14. Audivo Session Replay

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

It is simple to understand even for a non technical professional, even though I would recommend it for tech geeks but if someone is not used to technology they may still prefer using this as it has a sleek and easy to understand user interface and exp. Barely any bugs and issues and it feels amazing overall to use without putting much efforts into it.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

There is nothing much to be disliked about but it should rather be more detailed, although ofcourse things could be added into it by the developer but some enhancements would be fine.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It basically helps me determine how user is behaving with my app that indeed helps me to track the progress, bugs and features to be added. Some down side of the site clear feels more noticible using this.

 ### 15. Good for User Insights, Needs Better Navigation Features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oleksii B.

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I like Amplitude Session Replay because it links to events and users, allowing me to build charts and have deeper analysis.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I would like to have an approach where I can jump between sessions without closing the full screen view. It would be great to have a solution where I can filter sessions by duration. Quite often, we have sessions like five or ten seconds, and those don't provide any insights.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to watch user sessions, identifying friction points and navigation issues to discover insights.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Oleksii, Thank you for taking the time to share constructive feedback. It’s great to hear that Session Replay is helping you identify friction points in the user experience and achieve a deeper level of analysis. We also appreciate you calling out what could be better: smoother navigation between sessions in full-screen and more control over filtering out very short, low-signal sessions. Both of these are really helpful suggestions, and we’ve shared them with our product team as we continue to refine the experience.

 ### 16. Insightful Analytics for Understanding User Behavior

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Helping us to understand how users are interacting with the site and beginning to understand sticking points for them and areas of difficulty

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

There is so much to take from it, it can be difficult to know where to start

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With a new platform, this has been especially useful in starting to understand what aspects people are using fluidly and what they are struggling with so that we can make adaptations

 ### 17. Invaluable Insights Through User Replays

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Replays tell the story of the user's experience using our product. It has been invaluable to extract insights behind the metrics.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I understand why, but it's annoying that it doesn't record the video on our site

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not knowing how our users are using our product makes it hard to know how to improve it. Replays give us a view into what users are doing. This means we can identify opportunities on how to improve our product.

 ### 18. Great analytical product for Product Managers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Georgii S. | Product Builder | Founder , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I find Amplitude Session Replay valuable because it shows all the steps or actions that users take and captures interactions on both mobile and desktop platforms. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

So far, the tool offers everything I need, including the ability to filter by properties and devices.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to observe how users interact with my product, providing insights into their engagement and actions, helping understand how the product converts users.

 ### 19. Powerful insights from just a few sessions — but integration issues limit value

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleksandra K. | Product Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I find the Session Replay feature extremely interesting and valuable. Our product managers, each responsible for different areas of the product, were immediately engaged when we started using it. Even after watching just a few sessions, we were able to uncover several important insights about user behavior and usability challenges. It’s a powerful tool for understanding the real user journey beyond the numbers.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Unfortunately, we’ve experienced some frustrating integration issues. Only a portion of sessions are being recorded, and on some days, no sessions are captured at all. We’ve already opened a support ticket, but the issue hasn’t been resolved yet. As a result, we are unable to fully leverage this otherwise very promising feature.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay helps us understand why users behave the way they do — not just what they do. Traditional product analytics give us quantitative data, but replays add crucial context by showing real user interactions, including confusion points, rage clicks, or abandoned flows. This helps us quickly identify UX issues, prioritize fixes based on real evidence, and validate hypotheses much faster. It bridges the gap between data and empathy, enabling more user-centric decision-making across product teams.

 ### 20. Useful functionality to have!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

As a data analyst, I rely heavily on metrics like conversion rates, drop-off points, and feature usage — but Session Replay adds a crucial behavioral layer by letting me visually observe how users interact with the product. For example, if there's a high exit rate on a form page, I can watch replays to see if users are getting stuck, confused, or encountering bugs. That context accelerates root cause analysis.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

While Amplitude Session Replay is incredibly powerful, one area that could improve is the filtering and search functionality for replays. When analyzing large datasets, it can be challenging to quickly surface sessions that match very specific behaviors or edge cases without relying heavily on event-based conditions.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This helps me move beyond the "what" to understand the "why." For example, if there's a high exit rate on a form page, I can watch replays to see if users are getting stuck, confused, or encountering bugs. That context accelerates root cause analysis and helps us make more user-centric design decisions.

**Official Response from Tamara Kecman:**

> Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Love that Session Replay is helping you connect the dots between metrics and actual user behavior—especially when figuring out why users drop off or get stuck. Totally hear you on the filtering improvements; making it easier to pinpoint specific user actions is important, and I'll share your feedback with our team. Keep those insights coming!

 ### 21. Helps uncover hidden user friction with visual clarity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The ability to visually watch user sessions in the context of product analytics is incredibly powerful. It helps us pinpoint where users are dropping off, struggling, or deviating from intended flows—especially when combined with funnel and cohort data. It’s intuitive, fast-loading, and eliminates a lot of guesswork for product and UX teams.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I am not able to find replays for all users. Also deeper integration with custom event metadata or tagging would make it even more actionable.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay bridges the critical gap between quantitative analytics and qualitative understanding. It solves the problem of knowing what happened in a funnel but not why, by letting me watch exact user interactions during drop‑offs, bugs, or confusing flows visual context has accelerated our debugging, improved onboarding, and enabled data‑driven design decisions. We’ve reduced assumptions, sped up iteration cycles, and improved conversion using real user insights tied back to analytics

 ### 22. Effortless to Use, Instantly Productive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Ease of Use, Frequency of Use and Ease of Implementation

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I would like to see more on UX insights / Troubleshooting based on user behaviour and also to discover UX friction, bugs, conversion blockers, and interaction patterns

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Session replay helps me to determine from a qualitative perspective on the users' behaviour vs the expected behaviour, identify gaps and improve the user experience.

 ### 23. Smooth and efficient

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The animations showing the usage is incredibly detailed and smooth that shows exactly where someone is navigating and what their "process" is within the page. The "skip inactivity" setting is a lifesaver because then I don't have to jump around to find times when the user is actively engaged during a long session. The "timeline" of events also function as an easy way to find the starting point of a flow if I'm trying to dig into a particular scenario.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The user ID is a bit clunky as I'd rather be able to have that be a designated piece of data instead of having to use a filter, plus it'd be nice to have a better way to save snapshots/clips needed for follow-up without having to resort to third party programs

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives clarity to how a customer is using the product and lets us "watch over the shoulder" without needing to set up focus groups. This lets us roll out a feature and look at who's using it and to watch how they're going about it to make sure it works as expected. It also helps us in troubleshooting because we can more easily follow up on an exact session instead of having to probe for more and more information from a customer that may not be technically savvy.

 ### 24. easy way to integrate heatmaps and session recording on the app or website

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sai Preetham M. | co-founder / CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

i like the seamless single view of session recording along with the events shows, it helps he understand how a consumer of mine triggers the event giving me a clear view to optimise the things which are important for me. Very easy to use and implement.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

there's no option to filter the sessions i wanna watch on the session replay tabs.

i would like to filter the recording based on some filters.

Ability to start recording when user is performing a set event ( trigger events )

the features could be more

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

helps me work on the user interface and user interaction of the product.

without session replays i would have to rely on the peer co workers and observing them how they use my product, now with easy session replays i can see hoe users are interacting with my product on a wider level.

seeing the personality of the users side by side, it helps he view the product through my user's lens

 ### 25. Good for understanding 'Why'' users did certain things

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

If Google Analytics is like counting how many people entered your shop, and Hotjar is watching where they wandered, Amplitude is like understanding who came back, what they bought, why they left, and predicting which customers are about to churn next week. The session replay feature makes it possible to watch recordings of individual users using your product.

I like that I can launch a session replay from a user’s event stream, inside a chart, or from the homepage. Replays are synchronised with user event streams, so I can jump to specific events within a session. This feature aids in pinpointing exact moments of user interaction for detailed analysis.

The setup was easy and it's quite intuitive to use as a Product Designer. There are many useful features for my professional focus which support gaining a world view of a product and how to improve it.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Amplitude’s main strength is analytics, not session recording. No heatmaps, scroll maps, click maps. You don’t get high-precision mouse tracking, network activity overlays, console error tracking, rage clicks, frustration detection. No super deep user journey stitching.

Session Replay in Amplitude is good if you're already living inside Amplitude, it's enough for my current requirements.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Analyzing user sessions

**Official Response from Tamara Kecman:**

> Hi there! Thanks so much for sharing your experience with Amplitude Session Replay!

We’re glad to hear our product features are helping you pinpoint key user interactions.
Also, we love your analogy. You really nailed how Amplitude goes beyond basic analytics to provide deeper insights into user behavior and retention. Thanks for capturing the value so perfectly, we couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

Your feedback on expanding capabilities like heatmaps and deeper journey tracking is super helpful for us to keep improving.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review! Keep up the great work.

 ### 26. Great Analytics Integration, But Pricing Could Be Better

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Integration with Analytics and Experimentation.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Unfortunately the price is not really competitive compared to other solutions in the market for this specific use case.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to observe how users actually interact with the product allows us to spot errors and address them effectively. This provides us with an additional way to gain valuable insights into how the product is being used.

 ### 27. Better Replay Options Than Other Platforms

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clay H. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Session replays on Amplitude are better than what I've experienced with several other platforms. Quicker to load, see more details and movements, does not get choppy or buffer, and you can see all the sessions from one user all in one click. We use this every single day to collect more data

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I have not yet had any issues with amplitude session replays. I would say in the session replays tab it would help to add users' names, but I think that may be a setup issue on our end.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing the issues our users a running into and how we can solve those issues wether its a tech issue or a flow issue.

**Official Response from Tamara Kecman:**

> Hi Clay! Thanks so much for your wonderful review, we loved hearing about your experience. We're delighted that Amplitude Session Replay is performing smoothly and helping your team quickly understand user behavior. Your feedback about displaying user names is great. Please check in with our support team, and see if they can lend a hand (https://support.amplitude.com/). Keep up the great work you do!

 ### 28. Great direction but LOTS to improve.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalia W. | Product Analytics Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Integration among analytics. Session Replay, Heatmaps and Analytics can become extremely powerful when connected. Because once we identify a pattern in SR or HM, in order to prioritize an improvement in that area it is necessary for product to be able to quantify the Impact (i.e. how pronounce is the issue, i.e. how many users out of total active experience the issue / use the feature)

I think it's a great idea to be able to identify, for example conversion drop off on particular step and click through it to go to the segment of users to watch their recordings. If one day you implement interviews / unmoderated testing, this could be a great step to extend this journey, i.e. analytics > session replay > invite to an interview.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

1. Even though we say it's one line of code to integrate - it actually requires QA and is not that out of the box. We had issues with session_replay_id and eventually got troubleshooted with Ampltd support, but it took a while.

2. Sampling - i agree with the idea, you need a leverage for monetization, but honestly a session should have an explicit description. Counting a session that is 0 seconds, or even less than 3seconds is absolute waste. You cannot tell me that it provides any value.
If pre-filtering (for specific cohorts based on traits or actions) would be something for you to upsell the SR product on, you should at least provide ability to filter out sessions without any insights. Freemium offer that doesn't sell any value of the actual product does not work. You provide ability to customize the definition of a session in Amplitude, why not to connect those two? So i can stick to my actual definition and have consistent insights.

3. Integrations - you provide ex. Qualtrics integration but only based on email. I actually question this because I would not recommend using email (PII) as primary user identifier, which should not be exposed in dataLayer, and oftentimes is not available in a backend. We send all user attributes to both qualtrics and Amplitude, but still cannot utilize the native integration and need to do work around with Hightouch.

4. Filtering - your basic function to filter post recordings does not work - we have sessions that are few seconds, few hours, or certain events. it does not work which makes it uneasy to pick valuable for analysis recordings.

in general Free 10k offer & 1m data retention - 10k is not competitive at all comparing to your competitors who are the pioneers - HJ, CSQ, Clarity... CSQ is 20k free now, but for extra 40$ a month and Growth package we can have up to 13m data retention - which does play a role.
I don't have confidence i can get actual value from SR product right now in Amplitude to make the extra investment and record more sessions.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

checking for Session replays of users with low NPS - to help reserach and product teams with prioritization and ideation

**Official Response from Tamara Kecman:**

> Hi Natalia! Thanks for such a detailed and thoughtful review; this is exactly the kind of feedback that helps us grow.

We love hearing about how you’re using Session Replay alongside heatmaps and analytics to dig deeper into user behavior. That end-to-end workflow is exactly the type of connection we want to empower.

You’ve also raised important points around integration, session quality, filtering, and the freemium experience. We really appreciate the candidness. These are the kinds of insights we share directly with product, especially when they highlight real-world blockers for value and adoption.

If you haven’t already, we’d love for you to drop into the Amplitude Community (https://bit.ly/cohort-community). It’s a great spot to keep sharing feedback like this, connect with others, and get updates on what we’re building.

Thanks again for taking the time to share and for pushing us to do better!

 ### 29. Intuitive, easy setup, amazing support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** joao p. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

After trying out, dunno how many tools, amplitude was the one that clicked. Since the moment of onboarding till now, it was all smooth sailing. Session replay is super intuitive to use and configure, the quality of the video is great (yes there are some tools that event the video quality is bad), i can create cohorts directly on this type, it shows me all the events triggered during the recording, i can add them to notebooks and dashboard with 1 click and in the same page.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

so far i haven't found any concerning issues. The only downside i can maybe see, at least on my side, is that recordings are also event based calculated, instead of the recordings it self. If one or two sessions are heavy on events it reduces the amount of recordings i could get. Maybe changing it to "Amount of recordings" instead of event based, but that's just a personal preference.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

in our particular case, we had some trouble identifying why some drop-outs where happening in a particular dashboard we have. Amplitude session recording helped us to "See" that issue and solve it.

 ### 30. Great Event Tracking, But Occasional Bugs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samir M. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Is that it comes with events commited along with the recording

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

It gets buggy sometimes, like static recording

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it comes handy with amplitude full feature, Like if a I noticed a big drop in funnel I can watch the recordings for users dropped specifically which helps me find out what happend or the reason why

 ### 31. Absolutely love it

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael P. | Partner Success Manager, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

One challenge we had in the past prior to amplitude supporting session replay is that it was a pain to cross reference amplitude event history to actual sessions tracked in our other tool. Now we can easily see a sequence of events being fired, and then jump right into the session exactly where we need to without having to go into another platform.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Only criticism I have so far is that all of the text on the mobile replays are blocked out due a stripe integration we have for entering payment information. If Amplitude can make an update where we can still see all text with the exception of the payment information and/or payment component then we'll be in great shape! It makes the mobile app session replays very hard to analyze when nearly everything is blocked out due to the stripe integration.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to easily and quickly map a sequence of events to actual user behaviour in our suite of products.

 ### 32. Essential for Understanding User Behavior and Improving UX

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

By analyzing user behavior, we were able to confirm the existence of a bug in the component. Additionally, whenever we receive an on-call ticket for a specific session, we review the user experience to better understand and address the issue.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Sometimes I feel like the sessions are dropped, and I also wish I could access more information about the console messages or JavaScript errors, but I can't always get all the details I need.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The product is primarily focused on user experience and occasionally assists in speeding up the debugging process.

 ### 33. Review of amplitude session replay

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adil A. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The feature is deeply integrated with Amplitude's analytics, so you can view session replays directly from charts, funnels, and user profiles without switching tools, saving time and helping connect behavioural data with qualitative insights

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The learning curve and setup complexity can be high, especially for teams new to session replay tools or Amplitude's advanced analytics ecosystem.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tool helps identify friction points and UX issues faster by enabling product and design teams to watch real user journeys, which supports more accurate debugging and prioritization of improvements

 ### 34. Simple, Easy to Use, and Useful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie P. | Chief Marketing Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

easy to use, simple, very useful. you can literally see how session goes

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

not all the session are collected, that makes it difficult to see the pattern in a small amount of sessions sometimes

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for traffic quality tracking and users' behaviour check. it's simple and useful.

 ### 35. Effortless Data Analysis and Versatile Export Options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Easy to use. The data can be used and presented in different ways (tables or charts) or exported for use in Excel and combined with internal data.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Some connections are not captured. The data is therefore partial.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Session replays make it possible to see what users actually do. The list of pages visited and features used makes it possible to identify what really matters in my SaaS solution.

 ### 36. Effortless Info Sharing, But Session Replay Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I love how I am able to quickly share information that I need to share with team members across different time zones. The layout is very straightforward and easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I wish it was easier to share a session replay to other people on my team.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay is solving an information sharing problem where time is being redundantly spent on sharing information that was already presented. This benefits me as it saves a lot of time for me during my working day.

 ### 37. Get helpful insights with Session Replay

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The entire flow is recorded and shown visually for analysis which is one of the best features of Amplitude Sessions replay. It's easy to navigate and the SDK integration is straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Session replay is overall a really good product but we have seen a few challenges in it's support for Android Jetpack Compose.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay helps bridge the gap between what users do and why they do it. While analytics show where drop-offs or issues occur, replays reveal the actual user experience—rage clicks, pauses, and errors. This makes it easier to diagnose problems, fix usability issues, and debug faster. The benefit is quicker root cause analysis, smarter prioritization, and stronger customer empathy, all leading to better product decisions.

 ### 38. Insights and behaviors in-action

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Amplitude's Session Replay is the best replay tool I've come across. It is extremely intuitive and easy to use, and not only makes getting insights into user behavior a breeze, but it's been a big help in working to review and troubleshoot customer issues. There is little-to-no learning curve when it comes to using it, so once Amplitude is instrumented and live in your product, you're off to the races!

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I've been blown away with the ease of use for Session Replay so far, and do not have any dislikes!

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude allows us to better see exactly what our users are doing. Whether it's getting stuck or having a great experience, we can see it all. And as an added bonus, we're able to review a user's interactions to better troubleshoot issues if and when they arise.

 ### 39. Easy to integrate. Works as expected.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hieu P. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I used to use Fullstory in the past. Amplitude Session Replay is on par and it helps me to save money. I like the `sampleRate` configuration that makes the plug in capture only a portion of all the session.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Nothing that I dislike so far. I like it more and more.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a start up with a brand new product, we want to know how users use our product and timely adjust the user journey to provide the best experience. We can not afford a user interview campaign. Fortunately, Session Replay gives us a way to observe our users' behaviour as if we're sitting next to them. Although this is not a 2-way communication, it serves the purpose and we have the data we need to go back to improve our app.

 ### 40. User activity Monitoring

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I really like how Amplitude Session Replay helps me see exactly how users interact with our product. Instead of just looking at numbers or charts, I can visually understand user behavior—where they click, where they get stuck, and how they navigate through the journey. It gives context to analytics by connecting data with real user actions.

The ability to quickly identify friction points, debug issues, and validate hypotheses makes it a powerful tool for improving user experience. I also appreciate how it integrates seamlessly with event data in Amplitude, so I can move from quantitative insights to qualitative session replays in just a few clicks.

Overall, it saves a lot of time in diagnosing problems and makes product decisions more data-informed and user-focused.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Sometimes the loading time for replays can be slow, especially for longer sessions, which interrupts the workflow. The search and filtering options could be more flexible—for example, finding specific types of user journeys or events across many sessions can take extra effort. Also, since it captures a lot of detail, it can feel overwhelming to sift through multiple replays without stronger prioritization or AI-driven insights.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding User Behavior Beyond Numbers

Problem: Analytics dashboards show what happened (e.g., drop-offs, errors, clicks) but not why.

Benefit: With replay, you can literally watch a user’s journey—where they clicked, what confused them, where they struggled—helping you connect quantitative data with qualitative insights.

Debugging User Issues Faster

Problem: Reproducing bugs reported by users or support teams is often hard. Logs and metrics don’t capture the exact user flow.

Benefit: Session replay lets you see exactly what the user did before the issue occurred, speeding up debugging and reducing back-and-forth between support, product, and engineering.

Improving User Experience (UX) and Conversion Flows

Problem: Traditional analytics don’t reveal subtle UX friction (like confusing navigation, broken UI elements, or rage clicks).

Benefit: Watching real sessions shows where users hesitate or abandon a flow, so teams can fix UX friction points and optimize conversions.

Aligning Teams with Context

Problem: Teams often debate hypotheses without concrete evidence of user experience.

Benefit: Session replay provides a shared, visual source of truth that aligns product, design, and engineering decisions.

Reducing Support Costs

Problem: Support teams spend a lot of time gathering context on customer complaints.

Benefit: With replay, they can instantly see what went wrong for a specific user and resolve issues faster, leading to happier customers.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Thanks for such a thoughtful review! We’re so glad Session Replay is helping you go beyond the numbers to truly seeuser behavior — from uncovering friction points to speeding up debugging and improving conversions. It’s great to hear how it’s saving your team time and bringing everyone together with a shared view of the customer journey. We appreciate your feedback on performance and search, too — those are areas we’re actively working on to make replays even more seamless and actionable.

 ### 41. It's a great way to understand how our users are using the app and a method to debug.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The most helpful part is the way we can view what our users are doing when clicking through the app. It helps debug and understand their behavior.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Our users mostly use the app with it open like a POS for restaurants. This means they may login and do nothing for a long time, so the session replay could be 10 minutes but there are only a few minutes of activity i'm interested in.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us solve visibility into user behavior and debugging. Now, we can see exactly how users are using the app. This helps us understand where they may get stuck on some funnels and at the same time, we can use it to debug when a client has an issue, we can now directly view what they were doing

 ### 42. Fascinating insights into how users engage with your site

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon B. | Content Editor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The most helpful aspect of Session Replay to me and my team, as content marketers, is to see how visitors are scrolling and engaging with our content. Using session replay, we can see what content visitors skipped past and what they spent the most time reading. The real time replay of a users' session is incredible to see and will give real insights into how we can optimise our content to meet our users' needs.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The tool doesn't seem to offer any aggregation insights; in other words we'd have to look at multiple user's interactions with a single page with out context and make interpretations ourselves, with out feedback from users directly this could be difficult to interpret unless you're a user experience expert.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to see real users interact with our content in "real time" and view their engagements and events along the way.

 ### 43. Seamless Amplitude Integration and Effortless Analytics Connection

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

At this stage, it still feels quite raw when compared to tools such as Hotjar.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us to see how users interact with our websites, while easily filtering them by behavior

 ### 44. Session Replay feedback

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ranjit R. | Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

It gives good insight on user behaviour and actions. Mostly I use to identify where the user was stuck and it's really helpful instead of asking those details from the user.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

It takes a lot of time to load compared to all other features

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am part of Customer Support team. I use session replay to understand about the customer journey and the time stamp which is really helpful to collect.

 ### 45. I have extensive experience in developing and enhancing mobile and web applications

I can actually see user behavior, which makes it easier to identify pain points, debug issues, and improve the overall user experience.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Sometimes the session replay can be slightly slow to load and doesn’t always capture every detail in real time

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay helps in identifying user pain points, debugging issues, and understanding real user interactions beyond raw metrics

 ### 46. Amplitude is life savior for development tracking

It help to understand user needs and modify the product accordingly

 ### 47. Amazing tool for knowing better our users

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriela T. | Growth manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Its very helpful in terms of identifying the different patterns in users meaning clicks, scrolls and abandonment of our desire CTAs within the app

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Theres not an easy way to sintetize and recolect data from different users.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Session Replay helps us understand the why behind user drop-offs. Instead of just looking at metrics, we can actually see how users interact, spot friction points or bugs, and prioritize fixes faster. This saves us time, aligns the team, and improves the overall user experience

 ### 48. Great for Live User Insights, Needs Better Session Segmentation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

Session replay helps me optimize the user workflow and also identify any bugs in the software

 ### 49. Good feature

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dmitrii B. | Data Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The feature allows you to understand the user flow of customers. It also helps to keep my historical records. When I've changed something in the data, sometimes I want to see what happened before.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Everything is ok. I have not found any negative aspects of this feature.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We look at user behavior - how they use our product UI. Whether the sections are used or not. If so, how and in what order

 ### 50. Sessions replay review from a Web Analyst

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quentin H. | Web & Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The fact that you can segment users using data that is collected by Amplitude. Also I really appreciate the fact that Sessions replay are well integrated into different Amplitude features

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The setup felt quite chaotic — we’d either hit our quota of session replays in a single day, or end up with 9,000 unused by the end of the month.

I also find it challenging to get product teams on board with using this feature. It’s difficult to extract high-level insights, and perhaps an AI solution that could summarize what happened based on event descriptions and user actions would make it more actionable.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

"As mentioned earlier, it's currently quite difficult to extract real value from the tool. We simply don’t have the time to review most of the session replays. A more quantitative approach would really help — something like heatmaps combined with statistical KPIs to surface key patterns and behaviors at a glance.
