## Amplitude Session Replay Reviews
 ### 1. Effortless Setup, Unmatched User Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** moaz m. | Product Analytics Consultant , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I like that Amplitude Session Replay has an easy setup, taking under 30 minutes to install the SDKs. It's great that we can quickly see our users live on the application, which helps us move fast. I find the built-in Heatmaps really great for summarizing user interaction hours and showing where users are clicking. It's also convenient that all the tools are in one place, as we've been using Amplitude for product analytics and appreciate the integration.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The AI cannot assist with the heatmaps because it doesn’t have access to them. Unlike the heatmaps, the AI can see the charts and consistently provides excellent recommendations. If the AI analyst is integrated to effectively summarize session records as it does in the charts, that would be great.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to see live user interactions, uncovering blind spots by not just relying on submitted events. Setup is easy, with under 30 minutes to see users live. Heatmaps summarize user activity, showing where users click.

 ### 2. Helpful AI Summaries and Live Events, with Solid Time Matching

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash S. | User Experience Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I really like the AI part of it. The AI summary is helpful, and I also like that it shows the events live while we’re watching the session replays. The time matching is good, too.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Performance wise- when i pause replay and side event auto-scroll stops and does not resume need lot of manual resume work. The search box within the event list never worked for us. There need some work, as we prefer to search event name instead going through longer replays

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Best thing is being able to validate whether the platform is tracking the right use case we’re looking for.

I can quickly share it with key leads and stakeholders and use it as research evidence, so it’s super helpful in all these situations. I think it’s worth the price because I can also request session replays through your AI chat; it gives me specific recordings, which definitely saves a good amount of time. The support team has also guided us on the best usage tactics you suggest.

 ### 3. Amplitude Session Replays: Bridging the gap between data and user experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumisha J. | Senior Software Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Here in amplitude session replays we can visualize the analytics and data and interact with them, draw our findings and hunt bugs smoothly, it ensures privacy and safety by masking confidential contents, which is a key highlight.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

After integrating the session replays in the App, no compose items are visible in the replays, and the complexity of integrating it with the latest platform updates. Customer support needs more focus in this case.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With regard to mobile applications, the transparency of user interactions is very low. Some frequent bugs could not be reproduced and cause a lot of damage, through session replays we can hunt those bugs and have a clear transparency on user experience. Also, through this we can derive graphs of app usage too. As its timeline based it's very easy to trace out the sessions we are looking for.

 ### 4. Clean UI, Fast Performance, and AI Automation That Streamlines Our Workflow

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

This software has significantly improved our workflow with its clean UI, fast performance, and powerful AI-driven automation. The integrations were easy to set up, saving our team hours each week by reducing manual tasks. The onboarding process was smooth, support has been responsive, and the overall ROI has been excellent compared to other platforms we’ve used. One unexpected benefit was how customizable the platform is, allowing us to adapt it to different operational needs without additional tools. Humans do love paying for five apps just to replace one spreadsheet.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The platform delivers strong functionality overall, but there are still areas that could be improved. The UI is clean, though some advanced settings feel buried and require too many clicks to access. Integrations work well once configured, but the onboarding documentation could be clearer for less technical teams. Performance is generally reliable, although larger workflows occasionally slow down during peak usage. The AI features are useful for automation and insights, but the responses can sometimes lack consistency and require manual review. Pricing offers decent ROI, though certain premium features feel locked behind higher tiers too early. Support has been responsive, but faster resolution times for technical issues would improve the experience further. Modern software: solving 90% of your problems while inventing three new dashboards nobody asked for.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Amplitude Session Replay, we struggled to understand why users were dropping off or encountering friction because traditional analytics only showed numbers, not actual behavior. Now we can replay real user sessions to identify UX issues, broken flows, and performance bottlenecks much faster, which has significantly reduced troubleshooting time and improved conversion rates.

The biggest benefit has been combining behavioral analytics with session replay in one platform instead of relying on multiple disconnected tools. The UI is intuitive, integrations with our existing analytics stack were straightforward, and onboarding was relatively smooth. Performance has been solid even with large data volumes, and the AI-driven insights help surface unusual user patterns we may have missed manually. While pricing can scale quickly for high-traffic environments, the ROI has been strong because it saves engineering and support teams hours each week by resolving issues faster. Humanity finally invented a way to watch users click the wrong button 47 times in a row and call it “product intelligence.”

 ### 5. Unveils User Behavior with Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bharat K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I primarily use Amplitude Session Replay to uncover insights into user behavior with our product, and I find it really helpful to connect session replays directly with the funnel, allowing us to connect events effectively. What I like most about it is the ability to actually see users using the product in real time, which helps us validate all the assumptions about user behavior. I also appreciate the filtering and search capabilities, which are especially useful to isolate specific user segments or bugs in specific flows. Additionally, the initial setup was fairly simple, making it very easy to onboard users.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The URL search sometimes doesn’t fetch results for me, but perhaps it has to do with the sessions are still loading.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to connect session replays with funnels, uncover user behavior insights, validate assumptions, and isolate user segments or bugs with its filtering and search capabilities.

 ### 6. Seamless Amplitude Integration for User Experience Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I like how easy it is to find replays for specific events. It performs well to identify customer behaviors on specific flows, and helps the product team better support customer experiences and refine them based on user patterns.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I think the tool can sometimes be a bit finnicky at first for users. Its not clear how to find or sort replays upon first glance, and sometimes the replays themselves can be a bit buggy.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay gives me the insight of how a user is truly using my product and how I can build around their behaviors. These insights are valuable as it helps to inform product success, how new features fit into user workflows, and what can be built or improved.

With the new AI tools as well, they sometimes help sift through replays more easily when the normal filtering doesnt work.

 ### 7. Amplitude Session Replay Makes Reviewing Customer Sessions Fast and Actionable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asjad J. | Head of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The best part of using Amplitude Session Replay is how effectively it organizes sessions across customers, making it easy for me to integrate it into my workflow, review sessions quickly, and take action based on what I find.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Honestly, there’s nothing I dislike about Amplitude Session Replay.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Whenever a customer reports an issue or runs into a problem, I immediately open their replay, which loads very fast. This lets me see exactly what they’re experiencing so I can resolve it efficiently and quickly.

 ### 8. Magical Insights with Seamless User Journey Tracking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I really appreciate that with Amplitude Session Replay, we can actually see what our users are experiencing, which feels like magic. It's amazing to get such detailed information from the field without being there in person. Being able to assign sessions to a user ID and track recurring sessions is very helpful. It creates a user journey, helping us spot user patterns. I find this incredibly useful for understanding and improving our application's user experience. The SDK integration is also very straightforward and easy, which worked well for us. I definitely think Amplitude Session Replay provides great value and deserves high marks.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Well, it wasn't immediately obvious to us that we need to supply the user IDs so we can attach sessions one another. So maybe make this more obvious. And allow a better way to group session replay by users so we can see the user journey.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay lets me quickly spot UX or technical issues and verify fixes, helping users navigate better. It feels like sitting next to users, understanding what works and what needs improvement, making the app more accessible.

 ### 9. Effective User Workflow Insights with Amplitude Session Replay

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dominikus B. | Founder/CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I like Amplitude Session Replay for its ability to sample at different rates, which helps us control costs and reduces bias since the sampling is random enough. The video compression feature is fantastic because it captures the gist of the videos without including too many idle frames. The initial setup was fairly easy, and the documentation is rich. We also received support from Agentic Coders, ensuring everything aligned with the docs.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The dashboard may become a bit daunting after some time, making it difficult to find things and making the learning curve a bit steep. It can be overwhelming with too many options and features, and some functionality could be hidden in advanced settings to avoid overwhelming users.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to track user workflows and ensure UX is intuitive. It provides evidence of user interactions with features, allowing us to analyze engagements accurately.

 ### 10. Essential Tool for Analyzing Customer Journeys

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** yudum y. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I appreciate Amplitude Session Replay for highlighting key moments of session replays and providing sentiment analysis like neutral, positive, or negative about the customer journey. It is also perfect for analyzing sessions based on user ID, and I love the AI summaries which eliminate the need to watch long sessions for analysis. The most perfect thing is how you can watch session replays directly from any chart, like funnel or segmentation charts based on events, event properties, and user properties. It effectively allows me to view specific segment session replays, such as drop-off or conversion segments. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Nothing

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to observe customer behavior, understand drop-offs, and analyze journeys with AI summaries. It highlights session points and provides sentiment analysis, saving me from watching long sessions.

 ### 11. Reliable Radiation, Desirable Improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to more precisely observe our users' behavior and analyze the use of certain features. I find that it allows for very easy analysis at any time of how our clients use the solution, which I can do from anywhere and at any time. I appreciate the reliability and the ability to truly track everything happening on our application's screen, as we can see everything and take the time to dissect their actions. The initial setup is very easy, everything is accessible, and one quickly understands the settings and options.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Sometimes it lags a bit or we have "jumps", slowdowns. But otherwise, it's really very good. Ideally, I would really like to know where the user's gaze is directed and not just their mouse!

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to finely analyze user behavior and the use of our features. This allows me to easily monitor the usage of our solution from anywhere and at any time, providing a deep understanding of the user experience.

 ### 12. Amplitude Replay: Essential, Scalable, and Small-Business Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kalyani D. | Co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Amplitude Session Replay is seamless to integrate and captures sessions with impressive accuracy. I haven’t encountered a major issues yet. The standout feature is definitely the granular, step-by-step timeline of user actions, which makes understanding the customer journey incredibly intuitive. The fact that it offers up to 50K MTU in the free plan is super helpful for small businesses like ours.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

While I occasionally encounter rare blank screens or missing private assets—like images hosted in private S3 buckets—the overall experience is excellent. Adding the option to view masked fields, such as emails, would be a great improvement, but the core functionality remains top-tier.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Session replays have been instrumental in solving three key challenges for us:
Understanding User Journeys: The combination of video replays and step-by-step action timelines provides invaluable clarity into user behavior.
Security & Fraud Prevention: By monitoring activities, we've successfully identified and immediately blocked malicious users misusing our features.
Cost-Effectiveness for Small Business: Including this robust feature in the free plan offers significant value for our budget-conscious team.

 ### 13. Real-Time Session Replays That Make UX Insights Crystal Clear

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farhan M. | CS Team Lead, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

What I like most is the ability to visually see exactly how users interact with the product in real time. It makes it much easier to identify friction points, bugs, or confusing UI elements that aren’t always obvious from analytics alone. The session playback combined with event data provides great context, which helps improve user experience and make more informed product decisions.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

One downside is that navigating and filtering through sessions can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming, especially with large volumes of data. It can also take time to find the most relevant sessions. Additionally, performance can occasionally lag with longer recordings, and more advanced search or tagging features would make it easier to pinpoint specific issues faster.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay solves the challenge of understanding user behavior beyond just numbers and events. Instead of relying only on analytics, it allows me to see exactly how users navigate the product, where they get stuck, and what causes drop-offs. This helps identify usability issues, bugs, and friction points much faster. As a result, it improves decision-making, speeds up debugging, and ultimately leads to a better user experience and higher conversion or retention rates.

 ### 14. Great Visibility Into User Sessions With Linked Timeline Events

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan J. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Ability to see a lot of user sessions, on our app and web platform. Events are linked to the timeline, so we can go straight to the part we are looking for.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Amplitude may be really long to load when we are diving into a lot of session replays.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We didn't know how our users interacted with our product (outside data), so this part is way more transparent now.

 ### 15. Boosts User Insights with Secure and Easy Session Analysis

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristian J. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I really like the different levels of masking information because it's very secure and ensures we're not capturing sensitive user data. It's great that we can easily filter and do presets to see just the replay parts we want. It's valuable to not have to track the whole product and to only record critical sections like the onboarding part. I also find it easy to use, as setting it up was quite straightforward for the team.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Nothing at this moment.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to understand user clicks and journeys, supplementing our funnels for extra insights. It helps us identify confusions and provides insights beyond tracking events, enabling designers to improve the user experience.

 ### 16. Challenging Usability, Potential Unfulfilled

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I dont like it, but if i had to pick one thing, I'd say how easy it is to share clips with colleagues

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I don't like it. I think it's a giant waste of time. It's very hard to go through. It's very hard to find, to search for or filter by events by name. Feels like searching a needle in a haystack. And then when I go to ask our engineers if they could make it easier, they say it's a lot of work to name events in a way that would be more intuitive for non-engineers. So in the end, I don't use it much.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I WOULD LIKE TO use Amplitude Session Replay to see where users are confused, their natural flow patterns, and if they click on dead zones where interaction hasn't been included. It helps in sharing insights with coworkers.

 ### 17. Seamless Session Replay Integration, But Lacks Targeted Session Replay

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I appreciate the AI-generated Session Replay summaries. Another major advantage is that Session Replay is seamlessly integrated into the Amplitude platform, which makes it very convenient to review Session Replays for user cohorts we already have in Amplitude

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

At the time of writing, targeted Session Replay is not available. We would like the option to allocate our Session Replays to more specific user segments, such as focusing only on the treatment group in an A/B test where a new feature is being introduced.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been longtime fans of Amplitude Analytics, but the addition of Amplitude Session Replay has further improved our experience by enabling us to collect qualitative insights as well.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Thanks for the detailed feedback—we’re glad Amplitude Session Replay’s AI summaries and tight Analytics integration are helping you review replays for existing cohorts more easily.

About targeting replays:
You can filter replays by existing cohorts, events, properties, and session duration directly on the Session Replay page, so you can watch sessions only for the users you care about (e.g., an A/B treatment cohort).
You can also open replays from Experiment charts to focus on variant‑specific sessions (treatment vs. control) when you’re testing new features.
For capture allocation, Replay uses a configurable sampling rate; teams often adjust the sampling rate via remote settings or flags to prioritize key segments during tests.

If you’d like, we can review your experiment setup and share quick steps tailored to your stack: https://support.amplitude.com/

 ### 18. Session replays that pinpoint funnel friction and improve onboarding

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The ability to easily view sessions of users who did not convert in a conversion funnel is very useful. It allowed us to identify interface-related friction points and improve our onboarding process. Access to a specific user’s session, combined with user data, has enabled us to easily segment the right users and analyze behavior by persona.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

For now, I have nothing to report regarding Amplitude sessions replay feature. I have no friction points. We replaced Hotjar, and this Amplitude’s feature meets our needs well.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This feature allows us to easily detect front-end errors/bugs in our application and fix them quickly, as well as understand the behavior of each of our personas, since they can differ.

 ### 19. Useful, But Session Limitations Detract From It

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay together with my product and tech team to clearly see what users do within our platform. I really like the interface when reviewing the recordings, as it seems very simple to me along with the events. This makes it easier to identify problems and helps guide users through the platform. Additionally, the initial setup of Amplitude Session Replay was very simple.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The limit of 10,000 sessions in my plan is very low, especially because you can't configure from which second it starts counting. There are sessions that count from 1 or 2 seconds that are useless and that adds to the total limit. Also, when we try to upgrade our plan, the price increases by more than 300%.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it on the team to review what users are doing and clearly see their interaction on the platform, facilitating the identification of problems and guiding them.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> A 300% price jump to get more sessions is a hard pill to swallow, especially when short sessions you can't filter out are eating into your limit. The lack of a minimum session duration is something I will flag with our product team. Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback and help us improve.

 ### 20. Great customizable product with excellent support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mridul G. | Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Ability to exclude elements and not just mask and unmask in a session recording

Also, segmentation/ filter by different cohorts is very helpful

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Would be great to provide a custom masking logic to the SDK. Something like is done by a few competitors like PostHog.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generate behavioural insights to impact product decisions
Heatmaps help us identify dead clicks

 ### 21. A tool that was powerful in detailed user analysis and error correction

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 유석 . | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Amplitude Session Replay allows for a detailed understanding of users' actions, providing insights that cannot be gleaned from event logs alone. It was particularly useful in quickly identifying and fixing issues with newly deployed features that were not functioning properly through session replays. Additionally, the ease of initial setup was also a plus.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

First of all, it would be nice if it could be improved to be more useful on the web as well. User analysis within the app is convenient, but web analysis seems to have many limitations. It would be great if more recording allocation could be provided.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Amplitude Session Replay, you can meticulously understand user behavior to track the use of new features and errors, allowing for quick fixes. You can obtain more information than from event logs.

 ### 22. Tight Amplitude Integration Makes Session Replays Fast and Insightful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas M. | Full Stack Engineer (React, Next.js & Rails), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The tight integration with Amplitude events is the best part. Being able to jump from an event or funnel straight into a session replay saves a lot of time and adds great context. The replay previews are also very clear and easy to scan.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

To be honest, nothing so far. It feels more polished than other tools I’ve tried, like OpenReplay. The UX is much better, and everything feels easier to understand and use.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a new business, it’s critical for us to understand real user behavior as quickly as possible. Session Replay helps us identify usability issues, bugs, and friction points that don’t always show up in metrics alone. It also helps us decide where to invest our time and effort, so we can act fast and focus on what really matters.

 ### 23. Valuable Insights with Some Limitations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I like that Amplitude Session Replay allows me to see real users interacting with the website. This provides insights that are not quite trackable with analytics alone.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

It's really bad at capturing the full session. And all the things need to be graded out, but this has been taken too far. A lot of times, it's really difficult to get a realistic picture of somebody's journey because of how much in the buy flow needs to be hidden, which then makes it less valuable because you can't really understand the flow. The initial setup was quite difficult. It took a while to test and implement.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to track what's happening through billing and see real user interactions. It helps find small usability issues not captured by error logs or analytics.

 ### 24. Event Timeline Makes Session Replays Easy to Navigate

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I like the event timeline that appears on the right hand side alongside the recording. It helps me skip to relevant parts and also identify events that I could track for further analysis

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

It's not always clear how I can access a specific session replay. Sometimes it allows me to view them underneath some charts - but I'm not sure which charts allow this. Obviously I can access it in the left hand side always, which is good

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding sticking points and moments of hesitation that is not always obvious in the data.

 ### 25. Simplified User Journeys Analysis

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raghu V. | Digital Marketer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

They have a very simplified way to show user journey and added insights

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

There are fully free options available and we have to opt for paid plan for Amplitude after a certain point

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It shows me how user are interacting on my website and based on that insight we can make our website batter for users.

 ### 26. Debugging Made Simple with Intuitive UI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan L.

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I think the interface is intuitive. I value the most being able to scrub or seek specific locations in the session replays and toggle off inactivity because sessions can be really long. I really just want the good stuff to bubble up, and the AI summaries are really good, enabling me to click on a section and go right to it, which does a lot of the groundwork for me.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Whenever I go to session replay, the way it opens up tabs can be really clunky. It'd be really nice if it was more of a portal feel where everything is there because I have to loop through multiple session replays to get a good understanding. The navigation feels like the clunkiest part and the most time consuming as opposed to the actual value I get from watching the replays a few seconds before a crash.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to debug specific, hard-to-reproduce errors by showing user actions leading up to a crash.

 ### 27. Unique Solution for App Journey Insights, Needs UI Refinements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anastasia R. | Analytics Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I like that Amplitude Session Replay helps to easily detect the problem if there's a big dropout at some stage of the app journey. For us, it was helpful to resolve onboarding issues and other problems when we were stuck in terms of user journey. The initial setup was easy, and I appreciate its unique feature щf Amplitude.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I find that sometimes Android screen looks problematic; sometimes it does not reproduce exactly what is expected. The buttons on the screen recording don't look the same as in the real Android app.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us understand where users have issues in the app journey, easily detect problems during big dropouts, and resolve onboarding issues and give us general ideas of the app usage.

 ### 28. Revolutionize Mobile Behavior Analysis

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julien P. | Lead Product Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to better understand user behavior on our tools, and it has been a significant change, especially for our mobile application where there was no other session replay solution. Being able to easily switch from quantitative to qualitative by toggling between Amplitude Analytics and Session Replay is a huge advantage that allows us to confirm our hypotheses and make our conclusions more meaningful, more visual, and therefore more actionable. I particularly appreciate that it is available on the mobile application, which is quite unique in my opinion.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Perhaps an idea, it would be interesting to be able to "prioritize" certain events to record in the session replay. Specifically, with a limited budget where we don't record a huge percentage of sessions, for some features when they are still "small", I would like to ensure that certain events are prioritized in the recorded sessions.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to better understand user behavior on our tools, especially on our mobile app, which has been a game changer for easily transitioning from quantitative to qualitative analysis.

 ### 29. Eases User Engagement Tracking, Needs Better Organization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I find Amplitude Session Replay makes it easier to see where things happened and how, which is really valuable. I like how it makes tracking user engagement, what works, what doesn't, and click patterns easy. From a product and support standpoint, it helps me understand how users are using the platform, identify when things break, and figure out how to build better products. The initial setup was pretty good too.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The organization is a little more chaotic, especially the way replays are organized and shown to the user when you log in to the dashboard.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to track customer usage, making it easier to see what happens and how. It simplifies tracking user engagement, understanding platform usage, detecting breakages, and improving product development.

 ### 30. Powerful Features with Navigational Challenges

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sophie S.

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I really like being able to jump to specific time stamps in the session, which allows me to pause, share it with a team member, or discuss what the user has done. This is helpful for navigating the session, as I can sometimes get lost in what I'm seeing. I definitely have been using the AI time stamp feature a lot. The AI suggestions are also interesting and promising, though I think they have room for improvement, and I'm curious to see how they develop further. The time stamp feature is especially valuable because it lets me go back and watch specific moments with my team, allowing me to really zoom in and get granular on what a user is doing.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I've noticed some inconsistencies with different sessions. I'm not always clear on how it has condensed the sessions into a batch of watch moments. I would love if it was a little bit easier to filter, navigate, and search for specific sessions. Having it be more clear in terms of segmenting for a certain customer profile would be helpful.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to watch customers complete tasks in-app. It solves the problem of continuously running moderated sessions to see how users are behaving. We use a lot of telemetric data and usability testing, but this is a nice augment to those methods.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Hi Sophie,
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback and for using Session Replay alongside your telemetry and usability testing work. We're happy to hear that jumping to AI-generated timestamps and sharing specific moments with teammates is helping you study how customers complete in‑app tasks. We’re sorry for the confusion around how watch moments are condensed and that filtering and navigation haven't felt straightforward. Today you can filter and search replays by cohorts, user properties, and events from the Session Replay page, and our Session Replay docs and Amplitude Academy course walk through these workflows step‑by‑step; if you’d like more hands-on help, our support team is ready at https://support.amplitude.com/

 ### 31. Excellent for Viewing the Full Customer Journey

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ignacio F. | Agente de Customer Support Offline, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

It’s possible to check the entire customer journey like this, as it’s actually experienced.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I think it’s difficult to understand when the sessions are much longer.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use it to check the performance of my websites and to have the possibility to analyze the metrics.

 ### 32. Real-time visitor tracking tool for product and marketing teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tobi A. | DESIGN ENGINEER, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

show real time tracking and behavior of visitors

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Hard to navigate filters and sections. responsiveness also struggles but a very useful tool

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I get to know exactly how people use the platform without making guesses.

 ### 33. Essential Tool for Identifying and Resolving UX Issues

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doran B. | Director of Product Design B2B

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I appreciate being able to quickly access the videos in Amplitude Session Replay and find it really valuable to see them with ease. The scrubber is great, and I like being able to quickly look at the minute point I want to review. It gives me the control and access I need while going through lots of videos.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I think one of the things that could be improved is being able to group similar interactions via replay. This would help summarize them based on the average action. For example, if a user was having issues with an Apple Pay interaction, and we had 50 different examples of that, culminating those into a group and picking the most relevant ones would mean we don't have to go through all of them. Also, mapping lots of the videos and layering the interactions on one another to see similar patterns happening would be helpful.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to connect context to quant data for bugs and UX issues. It helps refine bugs and identify drop-off points, providing context through session replays.

 ### 34. Clear Insights with Easy Setup, Needs Better EU Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** majd n. | Marketing Traffic Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I like how clear and direct Amplitude Session Replay is with no extra steps involved. I appreciate the detailed selection into different categories like bounced sessions and most engaged sessions, which makes it easier for me to find interesting replays. Also, the initial setup was pretty easy, just a simple installation on GTM. The decision to switch from Hotjar was influenced by Amplitude Session Replay's more generous plan.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Difficulty adapting it to my cookie banner in the EU. I need clearer instructions or better connections with tools like Axeptio.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to track user interactions and understand bounce reasons. It clearly categorizes sessions, making it easy to find interesting replays.

 ### 35. Integrates Well, Needs Improved Filtering

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paula M.

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I like that Amplitude Session Replay is integrated with Amplitude, which allows me to filter or identify cohorts that I want to look at. It's good that it shows the mouse tracking also, and it highlights the specific events along the bottom of the bar so I can jump to different, specific parts of a user's journey or experience.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I think the filtering could be a bit better. It would be good to combine it with the events triggered, to have it more integrated within dashboards. At the moment, it's a bit segregated in terms of how you can look at it. It feels like I have to explore more to find the information, instead of having driven user insights. The initial setup was relatively okay but involved some developments. It would have been nicer if it was just automatically included.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to see user confusion points and behavior, providing more granularity into understanding user patterns, unlike Amplitude Events.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Hi Paula,

Thank you for your feedback. We like hearing that you’re using Amplitude Session Replay to understand user journeys. We hear your feedback on wanting stronger filtering, tighter integration with dashboards, and a smoother out-of-the-box setup, and these are areas we’re actively working to improve. If you’d like to review your current configuration and available options, our Support and customer success teams would be happy to walk through best practices with you.

 ### 36. Easy to Use, Insightful Analytics with AI Agents for Scalable Analysis

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

It’s quite easy to use and brings some interesting insights to the table, especially when combined with the AI agents that analyse results. This adds a different angle to how you interpret what you’re seeing and also makes it possible to analyse things at a larger scale.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The implementation was harder than anticipated because we didn’t configure everything correctly at the start, which meant session replays weren’t showing up in some of the dashboards. We also ran into throttling issues, and as a result the session replays didn’t always reflect what the user was actually seeing on screen.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s mostly about how users interact with the different interfaces, which helps us uncover friction points and usability issues. This, in turn, informs our roadmap so that understandability doesn’t get in the way of users getting the most out of the product.

 ### 37. Indispensable for Behavioral Analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurie-Anne F. | Product Designer

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I appreciate Amplitude Session Replay because it is super easy to use and very practical for filtering user sessions. As I work on a multi-market product, it is crucial for me to be able to see data on a specific market or page by easily filtering. The integrated time codes allow me to spot key moments quickly, which saves me time. Additionally, I can easily share sessions or specific segments with my product manager, making collaboration much more efficient. This feature is really powerful for detecting user issues and is essential for the continuity of work.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Think that it would be interesting to have an AI enhancement to potentially detect drop moments. It would be good to mix conversion funnels with session replays to avoid spending 20 to 30 minutes watching multiple session replays.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Amplitude Session Replay, I can watch my users' behaviors without direct interviews, which solves my user research problems. Session filtering and time codes allow me to easily share key moments, making my continuous discovery more effective.

 ### 38. Effective User Journey Analysis with Room for Enhanced AI Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I love how easily I can filter out user IDs and skip to the part I want to see, which actually matters to me. I can directly jump to the part where I want the analysis to be done and see how the user went through that journey, helping me make critical decisions about my product. It helps me understand which areas need improvement or duplication.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I think the AI feature of Amplitude Session Replay is something where more work could be done. It can be made easier to interact with so that with a simple prompt, I can just directly get to the specific set of recordings I need to see for my analysis.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay helps me track user journeys and actions, especially where users get stuck, by providing specific session recordings. I can filter user IDs and jump to critical parts, aiding in analysis and product decisions, identifying improvement or duplication areas.

 ### 39. Insightful but Needs Bug Fixes

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren C. | Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I like being able to see where users click and what they are typing in easily. It's helpful to know how long they stay on a certain item. As a designer, this allows me to do usability research and save time.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I cannot see the map on Amplitude Session Replay because of the canvas element. Our app relies on the map and I cannot solve the conversion problem when I cannot see where they are clicking. Also, the AI says that users are rage clicking but I cannot tell how and where on session replays. I just see a blank screen in that section so I cannot tell if they are actually rage clicking or just interacting with the map zooming in and out. I would rank it higher if it was perfect, but it's blank a lot of the time.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to see where users get stuck and don't convert, analyze user flows for problems, and conduct usability research effectively as a designer.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback and for using Amplitude Session Replay as part of your design and usability work. It’s great to hear that being able to see where users click, what they type, and how long they stay on key elements has been helpful for your research and conversion analysis.

I’m sorry for the frustration with sessions that rely on your map canvas and then appear blank in replays, especially when you’re trying to validate AI-detected rage clicks. Canvas-based components like maps can be harder to capture today, and your point about distinguishing true rage clicks from normal map interactions is really helpful for us.

We’d love a quick follow-up to look at your specific implementation (how your map is rendered and which sessions are blank) so we can troubleshoot and improve capture quality. Please reach out through your Amplitude customer team or Support, and we’ll make sure your examples get in front of the Session Replay product and engineering team.

 ### 40. Transforms User Insights with Unmatched Clarity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramnath S.

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I really like how easy it was to set up Amplitude Session Replay. I also appreciate how smooth and intuitive the entire function is. The fact that it fits within the context of my existing behavior on Amplitude makes it even better, allowing me to see a stream of click events along with session replays side by side. This feature makes it much easier to get a clear picture of how the product is being used. I also find the smoothness of viewing the entire session replay and the accuracy of the results quite satisfying.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Sometimes it takes about two, three clicks to see session replays quickly, and there's an issue where it doesn't show up even though I know there's a replay available. I have to navigate through a different path to find it. So, navigation could be better for new session replays.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay helps me understand how users interact with my product, revealing navigational challenges and user confusion. It provides a clearer picture than just click events, highlighting user inactivity and confusion points.

 ### 41. Session replays are like going through the journey from the eyes of the user!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haider A. | Growth Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

The thing which I have found to be of most use with session replays is that you can literally see what the user did, how they did and more importantly what did they redo/undo - what I mean by all this is I was able to see exactly how the users navigated throughout the journey, going back and forth, typing something then erasing or mis clicking a button and going back - all of which can be directly linked to 2 things: UI and data present. For example the data would say a person went to page X instead of page Y but on seeing the session replay we saw that they misclicked page X due to the placement of the icons.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Not being able to download session replay videos. If there would be an option to download session replay videos that would be really cool and helpful.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly being able not just walk through the journey from the users POV but viewing exactly user's journey.I will share a real example on which I touched upon in the last section as well. We had data saying more people went to page X instead of page Y and some of them came back and went to page Y but on seeing the session replay we saw that they misclicked page X due to the placement of the icons and from the users POV who is using the app from the phone it was indeed a miscliked due to the placement of the icons. You can see exactly what the user is doing on a page, down to the last detail like scrolling, taking too much time to do something like type, etc which is really really helpful and benefiting people like us who breath data.

**Official Response from Tamara Kecman:**

> Hi Haider, thanks so much for sharing your experience! Love hearing that Session Replay fits so well into your data-driven workflow; I can tell you truly breathe data! Great point about downloading session videos; I'll pass that along to our team. Glad it's helping you catch those small UX details that make a big difference. Keep up the great work you do!

 ### 42. Game-Changer for User Behavior Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pushkar j.

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I really like the heat map feature; it's nice and adds great value. The dashboard's mini view and big view for monitoring events are also very useful. Overall, the platform is clean and easy to use. Additionally, integrating Amplitude Session Replay into my front end took less than fifteen minutes, which is impressive. To be very honest, it's been a game changer for me.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I think something like masking or things like that could be improved around confidential information. Also, for some of the sessions, I see that there is no user ID. So I'm not very sure what sessions are those, so some things are a bit hazy sometimes. But it works most of the time and solves most of our use cases.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to visualize user interactions, track feature discoverability, and understand user behavior with heat maps. It shows where user attention goes and helps create workflows, making it essential for product analytics.

 ### 43. Time-Saving Insights with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia O.

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I find that Amplitude Session Replay allows me to quickly look into how users are behaving on my website, which is super helpful. The targeting feature makes it easy to be smart about what I'm looking for, letting me connect it to specific experiments and steps in the funnel where there's high drop-off. It helps me dive deeper into why this is happening by reviewing sessions. I also appreciate how it integrates with Amplitude Agent, letting me look into specific sessions that interest me without spending a lot of time. This tool saves me a lot of time compared to the old tool where we had to manually look into each session. In just a couple of minutes, I can set up filtering and start gathering recordings to look into what really matters. The smart targeting is a lot better compared to what I used with Mouseflow, making it a more efficient choice for our needs.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Sometimes sessions you are looking for are a bit irrelevant even with smart targeting. Improving targeting even further would be great. Also, it is only available on one of our apps, not all, so we can't have an end-to-end view, but I think it's more of our setup issues, not specifically Amplitude. Amplitude Session Replay doesn't have the feature to add scripts to specific pages, so we're reluctant to roll it out to landing pages due to SEO team considerations about page speed. Also, because of limits, we are reluctant to roll it out more widely. The initial setup was not super easy because we have different apps, so you have to set it up separately for each app.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to monitor user experience and identify bugs. It helps me analyze high drop-offs, saving hours by efficiently targeting and reviewing sessions that matter. The smart targeting and quick setup are key benefits.

 ### 44. Session Replays

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kritika S. | Associate Technology Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Amplitude Session Replay is really helpful for understanding user issues. Whenever a user raises a complaint or faces difficulty with any feature, we can easily go back and watch their session to see exactly what happened. It helps us identify usability gaps, reproduce issues faster, and improve the overall user experience.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

We’re currently unable to record session replays for our Tableau dashboards, which limits visibility into how users interact with embedded analytics. It would be great if Amplitude supported session replay for such integrations as well.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay helps us quickly identify and resolve user-reported issues. Whenever users face challenges or raise complaints about specific features, we can review their exact session to understand their actions and context. This has greatly improved our ability to reproduce issues, enhance user experience, and prioritize fixes based on real user behavior.

 ### 45. Analyze Users Effortlessly, But Needs Better Filtering

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan Daniel F.

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

One of the things I like the most is that they have the events that occur in the capture separately on the right. In general, I like the tool. The fact that it is connected with all the rest of the user's information is quite good.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

It makes it quite difficult that it doesn't allow direct filtering to view a specific page. I would like there to be an option to choose a landing directly from the Replay app and have it show me all the videos for that landing, without having to apply cohorts.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to analyze user behavior in the conversion funnel. It helps me see how they behave without interviews, and I like that events are captured separately. It's also nice that it connects with all the user information.

 ### 46. Valuable but Intuitive Use Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily P.

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I love the capability of Amplitude Session Replay to allow me to look up users and watch how they interact with our software. It is incredibly insightful to observe where they slow down or stop, which helps me understand user behavior better. Additionally, I find the summary and recap feature very convenient because if I do not have time to watch recordings, I can create cohorts and identify trends across the board. These functionalities have proven to be very helpful for me, especially when dealing with adoption and engagement tracking of new products in the market. The platform has been a valuable tool for identifying and sorting out issues, such as errors on a form page, which has been a huge plus.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Amplitude Session Replay poses several challenges. Firstly, it requires a steep learning curve due to the necessity of creating many custom filters to find specific information, making it daunting and time-consuming for new users. The complexity of configuring views by pages, buttons, or features adds to the difficulty, with an overwhelming number of avenues to explore, complicating the process of honing in on desired data. Additionally, the AI agent does not assist in this process, leading to a desire for more intuitive features such as the ability to highlight UI elements and automatically retrieve relevant activity data. Integration with other tools also lacks reliability, as shown by failed attempts to integrate with Slack. Lastly, the initial setup is challenging, with issues like company activities being misinterpreted as client activities, complicating the process of isolating actual user data.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to track product adoption and engagement, and resolve user errors. It helps me visualize user interactions, identify trends, and streamline troubleshooting, though setting up and parsing data remain challenging due to its steep learning curve.

**Official Response from Amanda Brush:**

> Hi Emily,
Thanks for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re glad Session Replay and the summary/cohort capabilities are helping you diagnose issues and understand adoption and engagement, but we’re sorry that the learning curve, filtering experience, integrations, and initial setup have been frustrating. Your suggestions around more intuitive UI element selection and tighter AI and Slack workflows are especially helpful as we prioritize improvements. If you’re open to it, we’d really appreciate the chance to review your current setup (including the Slack integration and internal vs. client traffic) so we can address these pain points—please reach out via https://support.amplitude.com/ and reference this review.

 ### 47. Optimized Our Landing Page Insights with Amplitude

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elis L. | Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I appreciate Amplitude Session Replay for its ability to track marketing landing pages, which enhances my understanding of how customers interact with page content. This insight is crucial for optimizing design to boost sign-up rates and measure the impact of marketing campaigns. The most valuable feature for me is the segmentation of session recordings, allowing analysis of specific user behaviors, such as identifying customers who did not complete a particular event. This kind of filtering is pivotal in driving business metrics by providing targeted insights for optimization. The integration with other reports and dashboards is seamless, facilitating comprehensive data analysis, contributing significantly to meaningful segmentation, and cohort analysis for improvements. Additionally, the initial setup was straightforward because we already used Amplitude's analytics services, highlighting the ease of adopting Amplitude Session Replay as part of an integrated analytics solution.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Heatmaps should have scroll %, little bit miss that from Hotjar.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to understand customer interactions on landing pages, optimizing design to boost sign-ups. Segment filtering lets me focus on sessions like incomplete events, enhancing business metrics. Transitioning from Hotjar, it unifies analytics and insights for better segmentation and cohort analysis.

 ### 48. Smooth UX with Quick Setup, Needs Better Bot Filtering

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I like Amplitude Session Replay's really smooth UX, which makes it very quick and snappy, and super easy to use. I also appreciate the ability to see many replays quickly and the really good way they have of sorting and filtering all the replays, making it very easy to review them. The initial setup was extremely easy, taking only a minute.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

One thing is, I have this one bot user who is constantly crawling my site, and it's being picked up by session replay. It's difficult to figure out how to block this account and it's just using up all of my session replay tokens.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplitude Session Replay helps me see where my users spend the most time on my website.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I find the encryption of sensitive text particularly reassuring, as it maintains data privacy while allowing detailed analysis. I appreciate that cursor movements is recorded too, which is incredibly helpful for filling gaps and identifying missing information when issues arise. Additionally, the product's user-friendly interface ensures that even those who weren't involved in the setup can navigate its features effortlessly.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

Sometimes when I attempt to fast forward the replay, it doesn't work as expected and reverts to the start instead (maybe due to video being not fully loaded).

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to monitor daily usage, troubleshoot, and link issues back to specific sessions with unique IDs. Issues that are reported by our end-users sometimes have gaps or missing information, but now it's covered by the Session Replay. It also allows me to view our site in different screen sizes/resolution, which I then use this information to improve and scale more efficiently.

**What do you like best about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I find Amplitude Session Replay to be incredibly helpful when it comes to understanding user journeys and conversion funnels. It allows me to go directly from my analytics chart to reviewing session replays without any extra steps, which is a massive time saver. The ability to automatically go to the selected cohort with users that dropped is particularly intuitive and super easy to use. This seamless integration between analytics and session replays lets me analyze sessions effectively without needing to set up new cohorts or perform additional searches. The platform’s user interface is notably straightforward, facilitating quick transitions and insights into user behavior. It significantly enhances my ability to understand better and analyze any potential bugs or user experience issues that don't appear in user testing. Compared to my previous experience with Hotjar, Amplitude Session Replay’s simplicity and one-click replay accessibility are major benefits, making it much less cumbersome to follow user journeys.

**What do you dislike about Amplitude Session Replay?**

I've noticed some glitches with Amplitude Session Replay. Sometimes when I'm analyzing the conversion funnels, the replays don't align with what I've selected previously. It's possible that the issues I'm experiencing are related to our setup, but it might also be a general glitch within the software. Another aspect that I find problematic is that working with session replays isn't as intuitive as it could be. There are times when I try to access session replays, and the option appears disabled unless I refresh the charts. Initially, this was quite frustrating because the replay option was inconsistently available. I wasn't aware of this need to refresh until a colleague pointed it out, and I think it would be beneficial if this behavior were more clearly communicated or resolved.

**What problems is Amplitude Session Replay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Amplitude Session Replay to understand user behavior and diagnose issues in conversion funnels, making it easier to analyze user drop-offs and bugs. It's intuitive and seamlessly connects analytics to session replays without extra steps, streamlining user journey analysis.
