"Amplitude Guides & Surveys: Better Engagement, Better Feedback"
5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

I like how Amplitude Guides and Surveys help improve user engagement and understand user feedback. They make it easy to guide users through important features, collect feedback through surveys, and target specific user groups using cohorts. These features help improve the user experience and make data-driven decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

Sometimes, guides may interrupt the user experience if they appear too frequently or at the wrong time. Setting up targeting and customization can also require additional effort. Improving targeting options and providing more flexibility in controlling when guides appear could make the experience even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amplitude Guides & Surveys: Easy Setup, Seamless Targeting, and Big Dev Time Savings"
5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

Amplitude Guides and Surveys is an amazing, versatile feature that can save a lot of development time. The UX and UI are easy to understand and configure, and targeting users feels clear and seamless. You can even customize how the survey looks to match your own brand style, without needing help from the dev team.

Getting started is straightforward and clear from the beginning, and I haven’t run into any performance issues. The AI insights feature is also really cool, since it gives you a summary of how people interacted with your survey.

With just one survey, we save at least a week of development time (designing the survey with the FE, setting up DB endpoints, etc.), and we could launch the survey with just a product person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

One thing I felt was missing was the ability to delay surveys so they would trigger on a specific event with a time delay. However, this was recently added as a feature, so for now I can’t think of anything else that’s missing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use In-App Guides with Seamless Amplitude Analytics and Fast Insights"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

What I like most is how easy it is to build in-app guides and surveys without needing engineering support. The UI feels intuitive, the targeting options are flexible, and responses flow directly into Amplitude analytics, making it straightforward to measure engagement and feature adoption in one place. Performance has been reliable, and having AI available alongside product analytics helps us surface insights faster. We’ve been able to validate UX improvements and gather user feedback without bringing in additional tools, which has delivered solid ROI for us. Onboarding has been smooth overall, and customer support has been responsive whenever we’ve needed guidance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

Nothing at the moment We’re planning to do a lot of experimentation with these, but so far they seem like good value for money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Surveys with Room for Customization"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

I really like that Amplitude Guides and Surveys can link to event triggers and attach to components, so it's really in context. The whole preview experience is really good, and I find the scheduling helpful. Segmentation is also useful. It makes things really quick, simple, and it's intuitive. It lets us show users the right thing at the right time and be more targeted without flooding them with information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

I would like more customization of how the pop-ups look. I've tried to make them align with our branding, but some of the colors are hidden behind a paywall, which I don't appreciate. We already pay a lot for Amplitude, and the cost for more guides and surveys is way too high for us to consider. I also wish segmentation was easier since not all our user data is in Amplitude, and integrating with tools like Tableau could improve segmentation. Plus, the ability to transport results easily into AI tools like Claude would be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick Setup, Powerful Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

I really like that Amplitude Guides and Surveys allows me to quickly put a message towards end users on our platform without needing any development or backend changes. It's super easy to use, and I can configure it myself without any coding experience. I appreciate the AI translation module and the ability to match our design system, including the color theme. I also like the different message formats and placements available, and how I can trigger messages based on user behavior. The ease of testing in a development environment and moving it to production is another plus for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

I think the preview mode could be improved. Sometimes it doesn't work as expected and I need to trigger it manually, which can be annoying. So, the whole testing aspect could really use some improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Setup, Highly Customizable"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

I really like that Amplitude Guides and Surveys is fully customizable to the design, so it doesn't feel like an add-on and feels like a native implementation. I also appreciate the ability to link it with events of my features and the broader tracking we have in place. It’s great that I don't have to switch to multiple tools since all our tracking plans are on Amplitude. The ease of setup and customization is another big plus, and it's mostly handled by product people who aren't technical or data-focused. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

You cannot yet connect it to every element you want, it has to be in a page. I cannot add it to the main navigation, for example, since it's not inside a page. It's still a bit limited on that side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enhances User Engagement with Seamless Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

I love how Amplitude Guides and Surveys integrates smoothly with our applications, making it feel like a natural part of the system. The scheduling and formatting options are fantastic, allowing us to blend everything seamlessly. The targeting feature and the ability to trigger guides and surveys based on user interaction are impressive aspects that stand out for me. These features make the tool very user-friendly and effective for notifying users about new features and tracking responses to surveys. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

Targeting users could be made more seamless. It's challenging for new users who aren't using Amplitude to its full potential to adopt it. Improving the user interface might help here. Additionally, while surveys are functional, having a voice experience or multiple ways to complete surveys could enhance the tool's capabilities. This isn't crucial for NPS surveys, but as voice services become more common, it might be helpful in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Amanda Brush of Amplitude Guides and Surveys

Ravi, Thank you for the constructive feedback on the kinds of rich design and interaction options you’d like to see in Guides & Surveys. Your input is really helpful and aligned with areas we’re looking to improve. We’re glad to hear you’re able to implement notifications and surveys without help from the engineering team.

"Love the tool, but still struggle a lot with my usecase"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

I like that its interface is built into Amplitude, so I don’t need to create separate events just to trigger the survey actions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

That’s what we need to do for the first part of our research: a screen that tells users what we’re going to ask and why. Then, as the second part, we need the questions with ratings split across two different screens—guides and surveys. Also, right now the number of answers we’ll get is very unpredictable. We also have cases where we need to collect data (and run a survey) year-round, and I have to check and refine the sample size manually and calculate it by hand, based on our conversion from previous months. difficult monitoring and filtering the results, AI summary is not accurate always. Used to be very disappointed before "distribute evenly" came along, and still waiting for the effects from turning that setting on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Quick Setup with Powerful Customization Options"
5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

The setup is very easy and quick and it also provides a lot of customize features such as css format, style, color, dimensions to adjust which is very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Guides and Surveys?

I wish some settings could be edited in bulk to speed up the overall process. For example, we use Guides as product recommendation pop-ups for over 35 different products. However, every time I duplicate a Guide, I still have to define the product-specific URL to trigger the pop-up. It took me 1–2 hours to update the setup for all 35 Guides with the same copy-and-paste steps, which is quite annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
