What is AlertMedia, and what problem is it built to solve?

AlertMedia combines threat intelligence, emergency communication, and travel risk management to help organizations protect their people and operations through emergencies. It is built to help organizations identify, respond to, and recover from critical events.

What company sizes and industries is AlertMedia the best fit for?

Positive experiences are represented across both mid-market and enterprise organizations, with especially visible industry representation in banking, health care, manufacturing, and security-related work.
  • Mid-market: Organizations with 51–1,000 employees.
  • Enterprise: Organizations with more than 1,000 employees.
  • Industries: Banking, health care, manufacturing, and security and investigations.

How long does it take to implement AlertMedia across a team?

AlertMedia can be live in under a month for some teams, while the most common reported range is one to three months. Rollouts also span longer periods when setup and organizational needs are more involved.
Time to go live Relative frequency
1–3 months Most common
Under 1 month Common
3–6 months Also reported
6–12 months Less common

What customer support options does AlertMedia provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

AlertMedia provides phone, email/help desk, and chat support, with a 24/7 live representative available. The support experience is often described as responsive and helpful, including during implementation and when teams need technical guidance; experiences with account-management continuity can vary.

What is the experience like for teams switching to AlertMedia from another tool?

Switching to AlertMedia is often driven by a need for a more usable, reliable, or capable emergency communication and threat intelligence platform, sometimes alongside a better overall cost or support experience. Teams have moved from tools such as Everbridge, OnSolve, RAVE Alert, and other notification or intelligence systems, describing improvements in ease of use, multi-channel communication, and combining capabilities in one place. Onboarding is often smooth with implementation support, though data migration and identity or directory setup can take extra coordination.

What features or capabilities could make AlertMedia even more useful?

AlertMedia could be more useful with finer control over alert relevance and more flexible administration. Common improvement areas include:
  • More precise alert targeting: Add finer controls for threat categories, severity, geography, and recipient preferences to reduce irrelevant notifications.
  • More flexible reporting: Expand standard reports and allow teams to customize dashboards and post-event analysis.
  • Smoother integrations and data synchronization: Make employee-directory connections and ongoing contact updates easier to configure and maintain.
  • More granular user and group controls: Improve permission flexibility, group management, and the ability to identify and manage users.

"Easy Setup, Customizable Threat Alerts, and Insightful Webinars"
5/5
What do you like best about AlertMedia?

I like that I can choose what updates and threat levels I want to be informed about. And how close these are to my organization. It's easy to use and install. And the webinars provided have given me a lot of info about it. I really like the threat intelligence that can crawl social media to get an idea of public opinion on the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AlertMedia?

It's probably just me not being informed about it, but I find it a little difficult to only be notified about local threats. I still get notified of stuff happening in Mexico. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I’ve been using AlertMedia for work for about a year, and it has become a valuable tool for communication and situational awareness. I like that important alerts are delivered right away to both my cell phone and email, which helps me stay informed about critical events as they unfold.

As a property management leader, timely notifications allow me to respond quickly and effectively, and to provide direction and support to my team of property managers when needed. The platform is user-friendly, and setting up geographic areas along with my notification preferences is straightforward and intuitive.

Overall, AlertMedia has been reliable and effective for helping me stay informed and prepared. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable alert and emergency communication solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AlertMedia is a forward-thinking team that consistently delivers a high level of customer support. Their Real-Time Signals module has elevated our team’s ability to respond and help ensure the safety of our people by leveraging AI to provide faster, actionable signals. I believe the value of the platform moderately compares to what we are paying for the service. I am happy to continue supporting AlertMedia as mentioned, they are forward thinking and responsive to our feedback while still providing outstanding customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AlertMedia?

At one point, we had a Customer Success Manager who wasn’t fully aligned with our team’s strategic vision and needs. AlertMedia was responsive, and we’ve felt fully supported ever since. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Custom Subscriptions and Instant Access to Threat Analysts"
5/5
What do you like best about AlertMedia?

The custom subscriptions are excellent for tailoring exactly which alerts our business wants to receive and which ones we choose to act on. This helps ensure we have the right information to share with our stakeholders and employees if they need to be notified about an incident.

Instant access to a threat analyst is another fantastic feature, as it allows our team to reach out for updates and request additional information whenever needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AlertMedia?

Not much to dislike. The team is always working with us to ensure all our needs are met, and they continue to partner with us so we can get the best out of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Alert Media deployment at Analog Devices"
5/5
What do you like best about AlertMedia?

What I like best about AlertMedia is its ability to quickly and reliably reach employees through multiple communication channels during critical events. From a security and business continuity perspective, having a single platform that can deliver timely notifications, collect employee status updates, and provide real-time visibility into responses helps us make faster, more informed decisions. I also appreciate its ease of use for both administrators and employees, which is critical to driving adoption and ensuring people engage with the platform when it matters most. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AlertMedia?

At this time, there is nothing I specifically dislike about AlertMedia. The platform has met our needs for emergency communications and employee notifications, and my experience with both the functionality and usability has been positive. As with any technology, there are always opportunities for future enhancements, but overall I have been satisfied with the platform and the value it provides to our organization. "Fast intel, fast comms"
4/5
What do you like best about AlertMedia?

The intelligence feeds are second to none. It's unbelievable how much data is availed about threats in such little time after the threat materializes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AlertMedia?

I don't like the pricing model per site. I would like to have the system be available for all sites without having to nickel and dime the customer for each individual site you want to monitor. I can understand the need to have a sliding scale of pricing but the out of box solution should cater to 5 or 10 sites then companies with much larger footprints can expand if they have dozens of similar. "Easy to Use, Seamless SSO Integration, and Exceptional Support"
5/5
What do you like best about AlertMedia?

I wanted to share some thoughts regarding our experience with AlertMedia. One of the standout aspects is just how easy it is to use; sending information to designated targets is straightforward and efficient. The system integrates seamlessly with our employee single sign-on provider, making access and authentication smooth for everyone involved.

The support we’ve received from AlertMedia has been exceptional. At the County, we’ve relied on AlertMedia several times to send mass communications to employees, and it has consistently delivered reliable performance.

When it comes to pricing, AlertMedia is quite competitive, offering a comparable rate to similar products on the market. What sets it apart is the breadth of functionality included with the platform—we truly get a lot of value.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to start leveraging the built-in intelligence features and exploring the AI enhancements that AlertMedia offers. These additions should further streamline our communication processes and provide even more robust capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AlertMedia?

I do not have any dislikes about AlertMedia. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Thorough, Effective"
4/5
What do you like best about AlertMedia?

The simplicity of use was important to me when I began shopping for a new notification tool. I believe that almost three years later AlertMedia continues to offer ease of use. I also am appreciative of the growth of the tool. The scalability is a nice offer to organizations of all sizes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AlertMedia?

Lately, the company seems to have lost its customer-first focus. It feels like they’ve become a victim of their own growth, and I’m no longer receiving the level of customer care I’ve come to expect. For example, it took me five months just to find out who my new relationship manager was. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Intuitive Interface That Makes Admin Work Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about AlertMedia?

The ease of use is one of the biggest advantages for our restricted administrators. The interface is simple, intuitive, and easy to navigate, allowing them to complete their responsibilities effectively without requiring extensive training or advanced administrative knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AlertMedia?

Some workflow items within the widgets require unnecessary clicks to dismiss pop-ups or complete actions. A deeper integration with ServiceNow would have been great, although we did purchase Alert Media with that integration in mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Improved Crisis Communication and Employee Safety through real time tracking"
4.5/5
What do you like best about AlertMedia?

What I like best about AlertMedia is its ability to quickly communicate critical information to employees through multiple channels (text, email, voice, and mobile notifications) from a single platform. The interface is intuitive and easy to use, which allows our team to send emergency alerts and operational updates rapidly, especially during disruptions or urgent situations. I also appreciate the real-time delivery tracking and response capabilities, which help confirm that messages are reaching the intended audience and provide visibility into employee status during incidents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AlertMedia?

AlertMedia seems to be designed with "First World" communications channels. In Latin America our employees live on WhatsApp, not SMS. The AlertMedia integration with WhatsApp has not functioned well which makes the system essentially an emergency notification system between our headquarters and selected senior employees.

What I dislike most about AlertMedia is that some advanced features require additional setup and ongoing maintenance to keep contact lists and notification groups current. While the platform is very powerful, configuring workflows and ensuring accurate distribution lists can take time, especially in large organizations. I would also like to see more customization options in certain reporting and dashboard views to better match specific operational needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
