We haven't encountered many downsides really... biggest one is the turnover in listing specialists. We've had 3 listing specialists in 2 years. And other downside is how long it's taking them to get Apple Business Connect (ABC) on their API. ABC relaunched January 2023.. its May 2023 and still not API connection Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What we like about Chatmeter is that we are able to stay on top of customer insights about their in-store experience. We're also able to share this data across our stores so that Store Managers can directly make changes based on customer feedback. We're able to improve our stores overall due to this quick feedback from Chatmeter. Internally, we have reduced the amount we spend on updating individual store listings and responding to reviews. The only dislike we have about Chatmeter is that Yelp capabilities come in a separate package. We feel as though it's an up-charge based on necessity and that it could be included in the package as an advantage to the business owner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most helpful part of Chatmeter is how quickly I can find all of our location's reviews and respond to them. I also love being able to have pre-saved responses ready to go when I need them. Sending the monthly reports out to our individual store managers is also very helpful. I also like having different levels of users so that some can view their reviews and analytics, but are not able to respond to them. I wish that I could respond to TripAdvisor and Apple Reviews from Yelp directly in Chatmeter. I also wish that there was a better way to organize my library of pre-saved response templates; such as using a folder method instead of one long list in a dropdown menu. That would also allow me to use shorter titles for each template instead of long ones. Often times I will click the wrong review template to use and then have to scroll all the way back down to find the right one in the dropdown menu. Chatmeter is a modular tool that you can only use what you need and grow into additional modules as the business matures. Account support is readily available in your preferred method of contact. Chatmeter is a leader in the space with great value for money. Unlimited seats allows our organization to leverage the tool for internal evangelism and visibility into our listings. Sometimes changes in the platform interface are a little unexpected, but nothing more than another tool might have. The email reports are a little clunky/limited to design, but we heard upgrades are coming there too! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If you are part of a small business or dynamic business that needs to pivot as business needs dictate, you should NOT consider Chatmeter services. Along with numerous obstacles, the pandemic brought debilitating staffing challenges for our business, and we had to close multiple locations. Chatmeter would not provide any assistance by reducing the number of locations in our contract. We were forced to pay for expensive services that could not be used during an incredibly difficult period.

When our annual renewal bill was sent, we notified Chatmeter that we wanted to cancel and explained we could no longer utilize their services without many locations in operation. Chatmeter stated that we were required to cancel at least 60 days prior to the annual bill (even though they sent no notice or reminder of this). The only option Chatmeter would provide, besides a payment plan for the entire annual bill, was to buy out the annual contract for nearly $4,000!

Small business owners need the option to discontinue services with reasonable timing if they do not meet current business needs. Inflexibility and unfairness help no one and it’s simply not good business. In today’s world of constant change, please be warned not to sign a contract with Chatmeter. Chatmeter is great for centralizing reviews our reviews in one place for all of our locations. We have multiple users in charge of each location, and being able to easily group them and provide them 24/7 access to their feedback has helped our reputation skyrocket. Also their team is great! The platform does not fully integrate with all of our partners as of yet so there is still a lot of manual work to put in all of our reviews. We know this is being worked on though! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This tool has been a game-changer for our store managers. Now they can see and respond to all guest feedback all in one place. Additionally, our operators can get a high level overview of store performance and how well they are doing at responding to guest feedback very quickly and efficiently. We really appreciated the initial review and prep for unifying our multiple offices. Having a team break down the steps and help us get them completed kept us on track. I can't think of anything that we dislike at this time. Right now we are in maintenance mode so everything is working as desired. I could investigate the social media aspect of Chatmeter... not sure what that includes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
