I find it complicated when dealing with datasets that have the same column name across multiple tables. Although I can search by field and limit it by table, tag, or source, I can't consistently get the same results when I try to search 'data' within 'table' with 'tag' from only 'source'. There are two minor aspects of Alation that I find could be improved. Firstly, when an asset is hidden by an admin, it would be beneficial to have a visual indicator in the sidebar to easily identify that the asset is hidden. Lineage you can act on (table → column → BI asset) to see impact before you change a model or warehouse.
