What is SignNow, and what problem is it built to solve?

SignNow is used to send documents for electronic signatures and replace paper-based signing processes. Teams use it to collect signatures remotely and keep track of documents as they move through signing.

What languages does SignNow support?

SignNow supports 1 language: English.

What company sizes and industries is SignNow the best fit for?

SignNow’s strongest fit in practice is among small businesses, with mid-market teams also represented across a range of industries. Positive users most often come from these segments:
  • Company size: Small businesses are the most represented, followed by mid-market organizations.
  • Industries: Insurance, real estate, legal services, education, healthcare, and construction are recurring areas of use.

How long does it take to implement SignNow across a team?

SignNow is often up and running in under a day, though implementation can take longer depending on the rollout. Reported go-live timing falls into these ranges:
Time to go live Relative frequency
Under 1 day Most common
Under 1 month Also common
1–3 months Reported less often
3–6 months or longer Occasional

What customer support options does SignNow provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

SignNow provides 24/7 live-rep support, along with options such as phone, chat, and a knowledge base. The support experience is mixed: users describe helpful, responsive assistance, while others find it difficult to reach support or resolve particular issues.

What is the experience like for teams switching to SignNow from another tool?

Teams moving to SignNow from tools such as DocuSign, Adobe’s signing products, and PandaDoc often cite lower costs and a better match between the available features and their needs. The switch can involve a short adjustment period, but users describe getting comfortable with the interface and using templates and signing workflows to handle documents efficiently.

What features or capabilities could make SignNow even more useful?

SignNow could be more useful with more flexibility in how teams prepare, revise, and manage documents. Recurring improvement requests include:
  • More adaptable templates: Make it easier to edit, reuse, copy, and update templates without rebuilding fields.
  • Smoother document corrections: Allow simpler edits to documents, signers, and fields after setup or sending.
  • More efficient field placement: Improve alignment controls and make it easier to reuse fields across pages or similar documents.
  • Stronger document organization: Expand options for searching, filtering, sorting, and handling files in bulk.

Is SignNow considered safe and secure for handling data?

SignNow’s security is valued for helping protect and document signing activity, with users highlighting features such as password protection, verification, and audit trails. Some users still raise concerns about security confidence and the validation of signatures in particular workflows, so buyers handling sensitive or highly regulated documents should assess those requirements carefully.

"Secure Paperless Automation with Great Custom Templates"
5/5
What do you like best about SignNow?

The reusable custom templates are an absolute lifesaver for our recurring contracts. Instead of building a form from scratch every time, I can send a clean, standardized template with a single click. The platform's secure audit trails also give us complete peace of mind knowing every signature is fully verified and legally binding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SignNow?

I would like more granular control over the automated email notification settings. Right now, the platform sends frequent updates for every single action taken on a document, which can quickly clutter my inbox during high-volume periods. Having a digest option or the ability to toggle off specific minor alerts while keeping signing notifications would be a huge help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rina P. of SignNow

Rose hi and many thanks for such a detailed and positive review!

Glad to hear you are making the most of reusable custom templates and audit trail too!

Regarding notification though: you actually can choose what to receive and how frequently. Apologies if this was not obvious! You need to check the following:

Click on your account icon (top right corner, it is usually either your photo, or the logo of your company), then choose Account Settings, then in the left-side menu choose Notification Settings. Here you can tick/untick all the notification sender(s) and recipient(s) receive. Hope this helps!

"Straightforward Document Signing and Reliable SSO Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SignNow?

SignNow does a good job with document signing and the SSO integration works well once configured. The user experience is straightforward, and it helps reduce reliance on paper-based processes. My biggest frustration has been account migration and document ownership management when users change email addresses, as some administrative features require higher-tier licensing. Overall, it's a solid platform with a few limitations that make administration more challenging than it needs to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SignNow?

My biggest frustration with SignNow has been account management during user email changes. When users move to a new email address, the system can create duplicate accounts and make document migration more complicated than expected. Some administrative features that would simplify this process, such as document ownership transfers, are restricted by licensing tiers. Overall, the end-user experience is good, but administration and account migration could be more streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rina P. of SignNow

Many thanks for your review! Glad to hear signNow helps your organization with straightforward document signing!

"Simple, Cost-Effective, and Packed with Room to Grow"
5/5
What do you like best about SignNow?

We switched to SignNow a few months ago, and I really appreciate how simple it is to use and how cost-effective it’s been for us. It also seems to offer more features than we’re currently taking advantage of, so there’s room for us to grow into it over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SignNow?

When creating an invite, I really need a name field. I don’t like having to add someone to my contacts just to be able to see their name. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rina P. of SignNow

Hello Lisa! Many thanks for reviewing signNow!

Glad to hear you find it to be both simple and cost-effective!

Regarding the name fields though: this was mostly designed to make sure people are sending documents (often confidential and/or sensitive) to the right people, and this really helps eliminate errors in many cases. Hoping for your understanding here!

"Sign Now Makes Templates and Signature Tracking Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about SignNow?

Sign Now is easy to use, and it’s simple to create templates. I receive email updates on signature progress, and a PDF is sent straight to my inbox as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SignNow?

It was a little confusing at first to assign people and texts, but once I got the hang of it, everything started to feel more streamlined and easier to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rina P. of SignNow

Many thanks for sharing your feedback, Rob!

"Efficient and Secure Form Management with Flexibility"
5/5
What do you like best about SignNow?

I like that SignNow takes away the unreliability of mailing forms and simplifies the process, making it fast and secure. I really appreciate the flexibility of being able to upload any form and mark it up according to its requirements. The way it simplifies forms that require multiple signatures or have signature lines that are hard to find is really beneficial, as it directs customers to the correct space. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, and on top of that, I'm very likely to recommend it to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SignNow?

I wish I could choose what signature font is available. A lot of customers choose the print type font, which isn't allowed for many forms because it needs to be a cursive font. So, I wish I could remove that option from the font types for signatures. An auto send function would also be nice for when customers haven't signed a form to automatically resend it periodically. I also wish the forms wouldn't expire. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rina P. of SignNow

Ryan hi! Many thanks for such a detailed review of signNow, we greatly appreciate that! Happy to help with secure forms management and flexible document signing.

Couple comments regarding the dislike part though:

-- re the fonts, noted! I'm passing this feedback to the development team now. We never actually heard this one before, thanks.

--we do not have autosend but we do have reminders! Do you use those? You can preset them in advance (when sending the first time, just in case, when you anticipate people might forget).

-- we can't remove expiration date as such (mostly because this is a legal requirement in some areas and for some types of documents) but you can actually regulate that manually, along with the reminders.

I am attaching a link with screenshots here. If you need more details/our help, please email support@signnow.com, we'll assist you right away!

Many thanks for choosing signNow!

"Easy-to-Use Layout, but Invite Limits and Scheduling Glitches Need Fixes"
3.5/5
What do you like best about SignNow?

The accessibility and app layout is easy to follow and use. It was easy to figure out without even needing a trial. Great customer support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SignNow?

The limits on invites even after having a subscription. The fact that other invitees cannot edit templates even though the main member has given them access to do so. The fact that you can't change email to SMS later or have a feature that says send both email and SMS. The fact that attachments and picture fields are not included in a paid subscription. The fact that when I want to schedule send some bundles, it glitches and says Fail to Send. So I wasted my invites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rina P. of SignNow

Many thanks for your feedback, even though not entirely positive!

Glad to know you find signNow to be easy to use.

I've just forwarded the negative part of this review to our development team. However, could you please also contact our Support regarding the last phrase? It's support@signnow.com. We'll check how those invites are calculated for you and why there's a glitch in that workflow. Many thanks in advance!

"Serves it's function but could be better. I trust the dev team to make these changes"
3/5
What do you like best about SignNow?

I like the bundle option with altaFlow and pdfFiller. I like the ability to create custom links, even with the nuances that I dislike. I like the Me Fill Out Now ability and the template ability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SignNow?

I wish that when producing a custom link, the document history is better tailored to guest signers. With it not reliable, it is not useful. I don't like the new AI chat bot on the website itself. I do like Luna though. I think it provides useful responses and in a quick turnaround. I don't like that when using a custom link and multiple guest signers open it but never finish it, it still shows up. I wish they were pushed into a different folder. or some kind of different symbol that I can filter for them and not get them bundled into the same category as the ones that were sent directly to a specific recipient. I don't like all of the issues I have been having regarding signNow prompting members to sign up when they shouldn't need to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Digital Signatures, But Alignments Need Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SignNow?

I really like the quick save functions in SignNow because they allow me to avoid typing information repetitively. The radio buttons, names, and other details being easily available is a huge plus. Adding a password to documents and accessing document history are also features that I find very useful. These capabilities save me a significant amount of time, improve efficiency, and are especially beneficial when dealing with confidential documents and getting signatures without meeting in person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SignNow?

One area that needs to be improved is the document layout and field positioning. While the features like pre-filled fields are useful, they don't always align properly within the document. For example, when adding a radio button, the resize function does not always fit well within the desired section. Additionally, the alignment guides can be restrictive since if one field is placed vertically, subsequent fields tend to automatically align beneath it, making it difficult to position fields independently or create a custom layout. Greater flexibility in field placement could improve the overall user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rina P. of SignNow

Many thanks for sharing your feedback about signNow!

Glad to hear you are making the most of radio buttons, password protection, and document history!

Passing your feedback re fields' alignment to the development team now, thank you.

"Effortlessly Manage Contracts with SignNow"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SignNow?

I like how easy SignNow is to use. It makes it easy for me to get signatures from members across the country without any additional printing or paperwork, and it can all be done quick and easy. The initial setup was really easy too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SignNow?

SignNow used to be difficult for me to keep track of documents because storing and organizing was not as efficient. However, they recently improved this by adding more folders and sharing capabilities, which have greatly enhanced the document management on the site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rina P. of SignNow

Many thanks for sharing your feedback here, Christian!
