  ### 1. Straightforward for Accounting, but Reports and Add-Ons Need Improvement

**What do you like best about Advantage?**

From an accounting perspective, Advantage is pretty straightforward to use. However, there are some issues with a lot of reports that are still not available in Advantage yet, but were in their old Adassist tool, which they have now sunsetted, so it is a bit annoying that some basic reports haven't been transferred over, but my team is making do with what we have.

**What do you dislike about Advantage?**

My company is an integrated advertising agency with many departments of different expertise, but because Advantage is more primarily an accounting software, sometimes it's apparent when the add-ons that came in later updates (and are available now) are not really user-friendly for many of our other departments. For example, our Media team does not utilize all of the media-related tools in Advantage other than basic tasks such as the generating of insertion orders. They prefer other third-party tools for media planning and other primary tasks.

**What problems is Advantage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Advantage has integration with AvidXchange FastPay, which has been a boon when partnering with AvidXchange to automate as many payments as possible.

**What do you like best about Advantage?**

Flexibility in creating reports/accessibility to the data within it. Easy to use but takes times to understand the full scope of the platform. Customer support is really good.

**What do you dislike about Advantage?**

The help guides or process documents since it takes so much time to master everything. Integrating with other tools can be clunky.

**What problems is Advantage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The full accounting process as our ERP. That allows us to build reporting, manage our vendors/AP/AR and even expense reports.

**What do you like best about Advantage?**

Advantage is truly remarkable because it offers a range of capabilities. It caters to needs such as finance, accouting, project management and even media planning and buying. Its like having a tool at your agencys disposal ready to handle any task that comes its way. It helped us in managing projects easily and increased our productivity.

**What do you dislike about Advantage?**

Although Advantage provides features and advantages it may be a little difficult for begineers to become familiar with it. Its similar to learning how to operate an car with multiple buttons and options.

**What problems is Advantage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By streamlining our operations and utlizing our resources effectively it sets the stage for growth and success in our agency and help the business thrive.

**What do you like best about Advantage?**

it has a very good ERP software which is used to maintain database of employees also we can provide access to certain people who can use this data as it is a cloud software

**What do you dislike about Advantage?**

it works sometimes slow maybe due to bugs and its a not very easy to use . Employees need to be trained how to use this software which requires time & money

**What problems is Advantage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were using Advantage for maintain data so that only certain  employees can have access to all the required information .It is also available on cloud
as its  a cloud software

I have not found 1 feature that I think could not be improved by this software.

Dated appearence
lack of updates
hard to navigate
difficult to understand

someone in my agency must like it, maybe the billing department?  For everyone else it is a headache.

**What do you like best about Advantage?**

It was able to help us scale by providing a tool that could facilitate workflow management via  a step by step process

**What do you dislike about Advantage?**

We could not do robust internal configuration ourselves, nor could we do mass data updates ourselves. We had to pay advantage to do them for us.

**What problems is Advantage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We only used it for workflow management and no longer use it. Switched to Salesforce.

**What do you like best about Advantage?**

Advantage helps our agency bill clients, keep track of billable time and build out estimates. It is a very helpful all-in-one solution and the lifeblood of our agency.

**What do you dislike about Advantage?**

The interface in advantage is a little dated and at times it can be a little slow. We did switch to the hosted version recently and find it much faster though.

**What problems is Advantage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Advantage helps build out estimates for new scopes of work, time tracking for billing clients against projects, it also helps with reporting and billing. All the things an agency needs to do on a monthly basis.

I really like how simple it is to look up the job you are currently working on and add it to your time card.

The software is a little clunky, I think it could use some modernization.

Advantage makes it so much easier to track the work you are actually doing to ensure you're staying on task.

**What do you like best about Advantage?**

I like how it's easy to input my time into my timesheet. And I also like how the system also tells me how much PTO i have left for the year. 
For work, the system can be integrated with Trello so requests to my proofreader or digital team will pop up on their Trello board in order of importance. 

**What do you dislike about Advantage?**

There's a number of things I dislike: 
1. when i'm opening a new job/project for a client, the system sometimes logs out in the middle of the process and doesn't save my work. 
2. when I'm writing a creative brief in webvantage, it will log out on me and not save my work. To get around this, I'm pressing the save button every minute to make sure my work is saved as I expect to be kicked out of the system. 
3. It takes my project management team 48 hours+ to schedule resources due to their accounts getting "logged off" and having to start the scheduling process all over again. It is not very flexible with this and it has caused a lot of headaches at my work and it sometimes interfere's with my client relationship as they wait to hear a schedule of a very expensive project. 
4. Our IT department (on a monthly basis) has to completely reboot the program because no one in our company can even log into it. I'm not sure if it's the version we have or if we have too many people using it at once, but this is primary way we get work down at our company. 

**Recommendations to others considering Advantage:**

I would consider how your company intends to use it. For us, I don't think it's the best fit due to the work that we need to complete. For example, we build websites for our clients and it takes 8+months to complete. This means that our project managers have to spend a lot of time completing this schedule, but if anything needs to be rescheduled due to conflicts, it takes a few days for this to be completed because our project managers have to reschedule every single date... 

**What problems is Advantage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems I solve with this system is communicating to other departments when something is ready for their review, when I need to get something scheduled, submit my time and complete jobs for my clients.

**What do you like best about Advantage?**

Advantage truly does cover everything an agency needs from a purely operational standpoint, handling billing, media and accounting functions. While the process of getting there can occasionally be difficult, an agency can set up custom reporting to make sure that all areas of the agency are running smoothly and profitably.

**What do you dislike about Advantage?**

As I mentioned in my title, the tool just feels OLD.

First off, the software itself is slow and bloated. Routine tasks take a maddening amount of time. The web version, Webvantage, is slow no matter what you do to configure your server to speed it up. It's difficult to use any part of the software on anything but a perfect connection on the physical network. (Don't even try connecting via VPN or on airplane wifi.)

Things inside Advantage are still set up like an agency was set up 10 or 20 years ago, with a completely outdated project management interface. Whatever you do, don't try to use this tool to manage projects, because you'll be behind the times.

It also takes a lot of external process to use Advantage. While the tool is very flexible, some parts are difficult to manage without other rules in place to govern your team.

**Recommendations to others considering Advantage:**

Advantage is great for running the more behind-the-scenes, less glamourous parts of an agency. But before you try to make it work for some other function of your agency, consider that there are much better project management, traffic, communication and collaboration tools out there. They may cost you extra, but will be a better fit.

It handles billing, media costs and accounting functions really well, letting you show clients what they need to see so that you can get paid.

**What do you like best about Advantage?**

Advantage is specifically for advertising agencies, meant for scheduling, communication, budgeting, and time tracking. It's a pretty all-encompassing software.

**What do you dislike about Advantage?**

Everything that can be done on Advantage has several different ways it can be done, making it more difficult to learn. The software is not intuitive, but once you learn, you can move through it quickly.

**What problems is Advantage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The company needed a new platform for projects management and accounting, so this was a cheaper solution than what we had before.
