I like how you can search a file not just based by its name you can also search its file formats. Offering a black or dark grey theme feels like a plus since it is less harsh on eyes compared to looking at the old outdated feeling light grey.The Dark theme gives it that futuristic feel oppose to the grey theme that feels like its from the 90's. **What do you dislike about Adobe Bridge?** The latest version i did have some occasional freezing with the program compared to the older versions i had no issues. **Recommendations to others considering Adobe Bridge:** It is a super useful product to keep files organized and being able to keep them filtered by the file formats. Its way better than having to browse manually using your computers default file browser. This is like the designer version of a file browser specifically for your needs. I don't think there is any other program like this one. Its part of the Adobe Creative Suite so it is a must to install along with there other design based products. It's easy to use and understand, and there are plenty of tutorials on the internet if you have questions, so we find this software extremely user friendly. We are able to improve the product we sell to customers through this software, and find that to be an invaluable resource. We find it easy to place images between our publications to get out to the user, and share files for easy team input. **What do you dislike about Adobe Bridge?** I dislike that I can't work on multiple projects at a time (if I can, I haven't discovered that feature yet). It would be great, if, like Adobe InDesign, we could have multiple windows within the program to work together. Everything was disorganized and it was a point of stress for me. Now, things are much more streamlined! I also like that it links with Photoshop (and does so really well! I've never had any hiccups with the linking of files) and it's especially helpful when I have a number of files to bring into Photoshop. **What do you dislike about Adobe Bridge?** For my uses, I haven't run into any issues with the software. It is a provided software once you have Photoshop, which makes the choice to use it incredibly simple. It's easy to use, but all of the extraneous information it provides can be overwhelming or make you feel like your space is cluttered. In the new 9.0 update you can now see if there is a transparency in the preview. (This was a hugely requested feature) **What do you dislike about Adobe Bridge?** Hot-folders would be a nice addition for batch operations - more custom layouts. It can be a resource hog if you leave it open for too long. Sometimes I would experience a glitch where If I was moving files, it would close and completely delete the folder I was in - never able to recover the data. **Recommendations to others considering Adobe Bridge:** When using bridge with other Adobe applications - the experience is seamless: especially with the new 9.0 update in 2018. I use this for the most basic functions, recommending XNView for more advanced features such as similar image data look-ups and batch ImageMagick like functions. **What problems is Adobe Bridge solving and how is that benefiting you?** When working for below company, using the "advanced search" tool and "show items from sub-folders" to find only certain file types is a life saver. The dark color scheme is nice too. I also like that the icons for documents and assets and files are large. I also like the ability to sort files based on file types. We often convert photos from jpegs to tiffs and having the ability to sort by image type and exclude the jpegs increases our workflow and efficiency. **What do you dislike about Adobe Bridge?** I don't see the benefit of using this product over, say Finder on a Mac. I also don't like how there isn't a search bar but rather the search is activated by clicking command + f. It can also be hard to find files using this product. **Recommendations to others considering Adobe Bridge:** The product comes free with purchase of Adobe Creative Cloud so there's no loss when it comes to Adobe Bridge. However, if you are (for some strange reason) considering purchasing just Adobe Bridge (if that's even an option), then you should very seriously reconsider. The standard file finder on your Mac or PC will suffice. A few of the brush features aren't able to do undo/redo, which requires the editor to completely delete the previous work and then redo it completely. That way, a majority of the editing could be done in just Bridge instead of using both Bridge and Photoshop together to edit a photo. I also wish the size of the brush could go smaller when editing. It is also ideal for processing raw images that we have to do for each photo session. We select the best photos using the star rating system. Open all the images at once and choose to process them individually or in groups. I also love the batch renaming feature. It can also move slowly on its own, if I am processing images, I cannot save the images and process them at the same time. My DAM is based on organization of file storage, elaborate folder structure and naming conventions. No dependency on database, very straight forward. It's a little hidden gem of a software program! **What problems is Adobe Bridge solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Bridge to make multiple page pdf's of my digital brochures. This is a great asset for me since as a photographer, my clients like to be able to view and download a price list on my website.
