**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hussam T. | Freelance, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2024

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

ACDSee is an easy-to-use program with many features that beginners in dealing with and editing images can use and rely on instead of complex programs such as Photoshop.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

ACDSee is relatively weak compared to professional photo editing software such as Photoshop.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I upload a thumbnail for a YouTube video that is larger than 2 MB, it needs to be resized for YouTube Studio to accept it, so I resort to ACDSee to resize it and reduce it to be suitable for YouTube. This is one of the problems that ACDSee solved for me.

  ### 11. Terrible programming (Ultimate 2023 version)

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2024

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

Used to be a great piece of software!
I've been using it for >20 year and have (regrettably!)been recommending it for a long time....

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

The "ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate 2023" is slow, buggy and unsupported. Errors are met with "pay for a new version" by customer support - but why would anyone buy new potentially buggy software from a company they have experience will not support it?!?

It seems all real programmers have been fired, testing have been omitted and little is left but marketing and and a short-sighted management!

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier: Great management and fast viewing of both standard and "raw" files. And quite decent editing features.

  ### 12. Sort and classify the images according to various attributes, such as names, faces, and locations.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pravas D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2024

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

ACDSee Luxea is an excellent portable photo and video editing tool. The ability to compare images side by side and display a grid and preview between two monitors is one of its key features. It's one of the best video editors I've used, combining powerful features with an intuitive interface that makes it easy to create presentations and extract images from 3D views.
Digital asset management integration is a significant advantage and I appreciate the absence of any licensing fees. I think another important feature is that ACDSEE uses the folder structure to display new images.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

The cost of ACDSee is high. It contains unnecessary files and occasionally becomes slow. Other than that, I have no issues with this tool.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this tool in my photo editing because it is a small and easy to use program to adjust and do simple photo editing. Its non-destructive editing speed makes it ideal for tasks like photo editing. It covers all aspects of photography, including image processing, retouching and editing.
Due to the simplicity of ACDSee, our senior staff can focus on other tasks. Another benefit is that you can constantly preview old photos in the folder even when the app is closed. Facial recognition makes it easier for me to identify people in family photos.

  ### 16. This review is for ACDSee Photo Studio 20 Browser

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor H. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2021

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

It is easy to use and fast at organizing my images. I like how easy it is to use the shortcut keys to rate my images and cull through thousands of photos quickly. I prefer this program over Adobe's programs for searching and categorizing my photos. I cannot comment on the ACDSee editing part of the software as I am accustomed to using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for my retouching needs. I also like the batch renaming feature and auto rotation of my photos.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

1. No useful updates - when I buy the newest Canon camera and the image format is more advanced, you cannot get an update to view the images. You must purchase the latest upgraded version of ACDSee to see them. Be sure to check if the new version is compatible with the latest image format (i.e., RAW files) before purchasing. For example, I purchased a Canon R5c and ACDSee's newest version cannot view the images (May 2022).
2. The app crashes if you browse through a folder containing a lot of video files. This has occurred over many versions of this software. I don't recommend it for video. Updates for bug fixes are rare and I have yet to see one that is helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

Make sure your camera's image format (i.e. RAW) is compatible before buying. I would recommend downloading it as a free 30-day trial first before buying it.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Efficiency in sorting and organizing my image files is the biggest advantage this software has over any other apps that I've tried. Please note that I have been using this app for over a decade.

  ### 17. Fast and efficient

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bala Bharath Kumar P. | Associate Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

The response times with which the image opens and responds to the changes made while editing is very appreciative.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

The very limited set of features for editing the images are on the lesser side when compared to its competition

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a light weight software which performs to the expectations and gets the things done on the go

  ### 18. Acdsee is my fave photo editing software!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2022

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

Moving to Acdsee is easily the best thing I have done. The ease at which I can move from editing to browsing and touching up my photos was amazing. All of my photos stay in the directory that I put them in. Nothing moves unless I say so. It is so intuitively laid out.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

That is hard to say. Perhaps the only thing I do not like, which is not a dislike is that there are so many options to choose from. But using the search function helps me find the right tool for the right job every time.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like to do bulk editing and Acdsee does this easily. I can crop, resize, and change file names like a pro. Managing my photos and tagging them is also easily done.

  ### 19. Complete tool to organize photo files

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ★ Rodrigo A. V. | Fotógrafo, Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2022

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

its technology allows me to organize and categorize the pictures in different ways: names, faces, places, among others.
it is a very useful tool for those of us who work with a large number of photographs.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

The price is high, compared to other tools that can perform the same function, but it is worth giving it the benefit of the doubt and start by using its trial version.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

if you have made a roll with your pictures and the order and quantity is a very good tool, it provides you with everything you need in an image database.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization and categorization of photographic archives in a comprehensive database

  ### 20. Using ACDSee for almost 20 years.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drew K. | Graphic Designer / Photographer / Branding / Social Media / Marketing / Web Design, Photography, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2019

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

The ability to compare images side by side and the option to show grid and full preview on a dual monitor setup.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

Too many options too readily available. I only use ACDSee to cull and present photos for clients to choose their favorites (rating system) onsite. I don't use any editing or backup/sync options. I'd rather them not be so available. Maybe hidden if needed. Also it crashes a lot, as I think it's again trying to do more than it needs to.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have to show a lot of clients in house their images so they can choose their favorites after short studio sessions we have. ACDSee is the best option for our purposes. Besides the ability to rate/tag each image, it allows us to use dual monitors to show all images on one screen and the full screen preview on the other. Also being able to compare 2-4 side by side helps the choosing between very similar images.

  ### 21. Photo & video editing software

There are lot of menu in this tool. In terms of testing our pc undergoes taxing.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

Highly recommended.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps photo and video editing. It includes photoshop like layer editing capabilities.

  ### 22. New version is much better.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andy H. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2022

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

I like how in version 4.5.1, they fixed a couple of bugs with the editing features. ACDsee pro can create cool collages as well.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

I'm not a massive fan of the background theme choices. I think they could have more options.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can make quick collages to advertise our school and get the word out to our community.

  ### 23. ACDSee, Easy, UI Friendly, and Get's the Job Done

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Atausch P. | Technical Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2021

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

ACDSee Luxea is one of the easiest and most user-friendly video editors on the market. The user-friendly interaction, quick video exports with multiple format variety, as well as the crop/edit, effects, zoom features, and audio effects makes it the best for instant video edits.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

ACDSee Luxea is great, but what it lacks in audio and video effects, as well as image and text transitions.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ACDSee Luxea provides quick video edits - it has been great for debugging software prototypes, quick-edits on meetings, as well as include audio-captioning in videos.

  ### 24. the trendy old photo viewer and editor

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2022

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

Talking about ACDSee is like the old gold in picture viewer software but the trendy one at the same time, it's easy to use, easy to learn, and a little to worry about.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

ACDSee has no advanced features in photo editing. Rather you want to crop, resize, or add text or paintbrush. It has limited tools to use, which may reduce the usability of the software.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ACDSee is the ongoing photo viewer and editor; it's the default software to open pictures on my pc since it's fast and has access to open a lot of photo extensions.

  ### 25. A Photo editing/management tool for all

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** surya k. | Assistant Professor Of English, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2021

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

Acdsee is the best tool to think of when they want to get all kinds of basic photo editing done. Beginners, amateurs, people who want photos edited for web view or other office-related work can all rely on Acdsee. The simple yet powerful interface makes things easy for anyone and everyone. It demands no technical expertise whatsoever and offers optimum performance. Additionally, it is also one of the most powerful photo management software, and the workflow enhancements and layer editing capabilities have improved drastically over the years. As visible in the screenshot shared, I use the photo studio professional edition, and the image looks stunning with nothing but a basic touchup.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

An annoying aspect that I found in Acdsee is the huge number of options loaded into the windows context menu. While it might be useful and preferred by some people, I personally found it really annoying. I must add that tagging using photo recognition is kind of a letdown considering the highest level of standards which Acdsee otherwise maintains. I am unsure about the lens profile-based correction because I could not spot any significant differences, but that might be because I am an amateur.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

If you are looking for a cost-effective and user-friendly photo management/editing tool, Acdsee is the best bet for you. I have personally opted for a one-time payment, but they offer a subscription model with cloud storage for serious photographers.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Webpages and application forms demand pictures to be uploaded in specific dimensions. Cropping, resizing, adjusting dimensions etc., can be a tedious job, and I have found that using default editing options in windows starting from Paint in Windows XP to Photos in Windows 10 does not always give desired results. Acdsee is my one-stop solution to all office-related photo editing.

  ### 26. Performance and Precision

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randy T. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

ACDSee has been a staple in our home for many years. We have used it going back to 2015. Every year it gets better and better. It's very inexpensive and easy to use. We manage all our pictures in ACDSee. We are using the 2021 version and as a customer, I can use any version I want and we get yearly updates for a small fee.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

My family and I are not big fans when it comes to editing movies and videos. The ACDSee software we use is mostly for pictures. I wish they would incorporate more options with the video version. You can do some small-time editing but nothing major.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

If you're looking for a software program that is easy to manage and the whole family can use, then ACDSee is a great option. I would say go for it.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to crop pictures, tone them up, put a border around a picture, and essential modifications to photos. We rename images, and we can do that in a batch at once and don't have to do them one at a time.

It gives sharpness and blur balance, light and shade effects. It has a terrific camera angle on desire objects and a sense of the depth of field with light effect.

Overall, it saves a lot of time under one roof without import and export in multi-software.

  ### 29. My go to for photo viewing/manipulation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John B. | Technology Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

Ease of use. Priced well below the Ad*be counterpart which is the defacto standard. It has built in Digital Asset Management which is also a major plus.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

Off-line documentation is severely lacking, so if I'm on the road and do not have internet/cellular service and need to look something up, it's not as easy as it should be.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

In these budget conscious times, ACDSee provides a very viable alternative to other costly programs. It performs well and does not tax your computing power.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ACDSee has matured into a robust program that allows viewing, editing and management at a reasonable cost. You can purchase a non-monthly license and not have a recurring fee.

  ### 30. Amazing Product with Easy-to-Use features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea S. | Curriculum Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2021

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

The photo import process is simple and intuitive. I love all the batch options, and being able to save settings. Photo organization is super simple, and you can tag photos for ease of finding them later on. I also like the rating options- colors, numbers, stars- this helps me easily categorize my photos for later editing. I also like that it is not a subscription-based license.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

There could be more options for editing photos, and the editing in ACDSee is not as robust as Lightroom. The Mac version was lagging for a while too, however, it seems to be on par with their PC version of the product.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Photo storage, management, light editing, ease of managing large files. It has been great for storytelling and categorizing our photos for the opening of our business. I will continue to use ACDSee for managing my content.

  ### 31. Great data asset management, okay editing

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2021

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

I like how ACDSEE uses the folder structure and automatically sees what new photos have been added. You never have to upload your photos to it. ACDSEE access them in a really convenient way. I also feel that the user interface is very logical.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

I have a pretty good computer and even then ACDSEE is slow to open.
I also don't like how acdsee doesn't allow for pano stitching. The HDR function also seems quite rudimentary and sometimes fails.
I feel like Lightroom has better quality functions such as focus stacking, HDR, and panorama tools. Then again, you pay a lot for Lightroom.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

You may be able to use it as a photo shop replacement, but I think there are better options like affinity photo. This is great for developing raw photos and managing photos.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am mostly using it to organize and search photos. It's great for data asset management.
I also use it for developing raw photos

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas C. | Vice President Financial Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2021

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

I use this amazing photo editing app and I have learnt a lot from it. This app has different products. By using this I take pictures, edit them and publicize them as well. I use to edit videos along with photos that are just entertaining. Online learning of photography is also available that helped me a lot. It is convenient and has easy interface. Photo editing features really need appreciation. The brushing is flexible and has brush selection tool that provides diff font of brushes. The layout of the app is customizable.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

ACDSee is very costly. Sometimes it get slow as well as it contains unnecessary files. I found it a bit difficult to use in the beginning. Free version has limited features. Sometimes it adds unnecessary noise to the video. The features are hidden, they need to be on front page of the software so that the users get benefit from them.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

To polish the hobby of photography one should use this application. The coaching sessions are also held by ACDSee to let their users enjoy the actual fun of photography. I’ve taken and edited a large no of pictures and videos but it never affects the quality of the pixels.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This app enables me to adjust how fog, haze and mist appear in an image. We can also delete the desirable part of photograph or a video. Lightening effects embellish my pictures more. Despite having filters the quality of videos and photographs remains stable. It automatically fixes chromatic aberrations.

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

The GUI is very user-friendly. There are simple tools to modify images quickly and advanced as well for something complex. I have used other tools like Adobe Photoshop, but those require professional skills.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

Sometimes the rendering takes longer than usual time. Also, the Pro version is a little expensive.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use ACDSee primarily to edit photos before consuming them. Our main focus is time efficiency.

  ### 35. Easy to manage and edit photos

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin L. | Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2020

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

It is fast and convenient. Photo management and viewing of photos, plus the ultra speed at which the software works are the great advantages of it. This is an important difference when you're working with large batches of photos. It is a very simple and effective DAM. My preferred entry point for all images as its an incredibly good light table, and in the end an excellent conduit to the various other apps I opt to use by sending the image along in single clicks.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

It's not as strong and powerful as those famous photo editing software. It does not support layers which is a great disadvantage of it.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

It's a good DAM software. Easy to use and convenient to edit software. It's lightweight. Not as powerful as the giant photo editing software. But it's a good choice if you only need a quick and fast editing tool.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does not support layers. But it is very fast. You can resize a batch of photos really quick by just a few clicks. It's convenient to take a peek of the photo by right click the mouse.

No ability to remove objects from the photo.

it has enable me to edit images to use in publicaions as well as in my persoanl life.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly picture editing and touch ups

  ### 38. Organizer and Batch Processing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2020

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

Like the ability to easily organize and view images. Quick loading of preview, even on large images, with many ways to tag and organize. Able to manipulate and print multiple images with labels or other information. Gives access to full range of file/image attributes. Batch processing allows both reformatting image (e.g. resize or change format) and file name manipulation. Does back up of images or attribute information.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

overwhelming interface. not quite as powerful as others but editing satisfies majority of needs

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scanning or importing large numbers of images is simplified and easier to create useable file names including image attributes (e.g. date created) or utilizing auto incrementing as part of file name.

  ### 39. Seeing Is Believing

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

I like ACDSee's ability to show me many different picture formats and allow me to create a contact sheet of all of them allowing me to specify the number of columns & rows.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

I wish ACDSee also supports PDF file viewing.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

I highly recommend ACDSee as the image viewer of choice. Also the batch image editing capabilities are phenomenal.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ACDSee gives me the ability to batch rotate pictures taken to a different rotation.

  ### 40. I have used ACDSee as my prime processing software since 2008, and it keeps getting better!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim H. | Professional Photographer, Photography, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

ACDSee is the, fastest, most intuitive and comprehensive, stand alone image processing software available for PC in my humble opinion. I have evaluated a vast array of image processing software over the years and ACDSee remains my main software. Everything is to hand and there is no need for hunting around in hedden sub menus to find the adjustment that you are looking for. The RAW processing is second to none, producing smooth well rendered output. Tonal and colour adjustments are very comprehensive and making profiles is easy and straight forward to implement . Additional imaging programs like Portrait-pro, Neat-image, Paint.net and Topaz adjust can easily be integrated into ACDSee adding a whole raft of additional functionality.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

In my opinion the inbuilt lens profiles should at least comprehensively cover first party manufacturer lenses but sadly do not. Half of Sony's are missing. For example, few of Sony GM lenses are included and that causes me a problem as I shoot with the Sony A7r3 & 4 and also the A9 bodies, predominantly with Sony and Zeiss glass. I have been told that unlike other manufacturers sony makes all Sony lens profiles freely available to the programming community, so there is really no excuse for this oversight.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

If like me you process an average of 150 photos a day, this is the software to use if you want to have a reasonable work life balance.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great work-flow

  ### 41. I often recommend ACDsee

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott W. | Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

I take thousands of photographs a year and I have found that ACDsee is not only the easiest photo editing software to use, but in many instances outweighs Adobe Photoshop in my opinion. I have Photoshop but still use ACDsee and recommend it to all my friends. I'm a bit obsessive about how I name my files, and ACDsee makes it so easy for me to name and number all my images. My favorite features in ACDsee are bringing up shadows, which is does very well, sharpness and noise reduction are excellent, as is saturate, and something I don't even think Photoshop does, it crops to the original dimensions if you rotate a photo, so there's no blank corners. The features of ACDsee are more than even I use, but I've turned lots of beginners onto this program, and you can just use those features as needed. Oh, and if you use Develop mode, you can save and save and save, and at any time revert back to your original photo or even just change one setting back. I might have made a hundred changes and the next day I look and feel I added too much color saturation so I can just adjust that while keeping all other changes. Really, I love ACDsee Photo Studio. I also constantly review the settings I used in my photos, which are easily visible in ACDsee, and then I know what settings to use in similar situations in the future. I have settings for Disneyland rides, dark rides, fast rides, indoor stage shows, night parades, etc.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

One of the things I don't like is in the white balance. I wish I could click on a true white and have the colors adjust to it. As far as I know, you can only click on a gray. I wish all of the features that are available in Edit mode are available in Develop mode. I use Develop mode for my jpgs, even though it works great with raw images. Sometimes I must use Edit mode because I only want to alter a small portion of a photo - I don't know why that can't be offered in Develop mode.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

My advice for others considering ACDsee is to get ACDsee 365. You get to choose which of their software you want to use. You can start with the basic and work your way up. The customer service is really great and you will always have the very latest version!

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The batch editing comes in handy if I have a bunch of photos taken in the same settings and I want to adjust certain elements like exposure and white balance. Then I can correct 100 photos at one time! Also, the file renaming capabilities are the best I've found with any program!

  ### 42. My first media manager that keeps evolving.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

Speed. Productivity features. Continuous innovation.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

Sometimes feels a little heavy on operating system
during the launch of the application.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

It gives you much more information about media files you manage than regular Windows Explorer. Can preview the content of Zipped files. The face recognition feature is very nifty.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

View fast any extension of media. Automatization of content manipulation.

  ### 43. ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate 2018

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh H. | Pro Services Sales Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

One of the best things I like about ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate 2018 is the smart import tool. Too many times I have used the import option with Lightroom and I have wound up with too many duplicates. The import tool on ACDSee checks for duplicates before they get imported. This is a very help feature if you are like me and have quite a few photos. Another feature I found to be very useful is the action recording function. This definitely helps speed up the editing process when you can just do it all in a few clicks.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

I found that the thumbnails in the "Manage" section were a little hard to really see. This was not by any fault on ACDSee's side. I just have too many photos. I was able to adjust the size of the thumbnails which made it a little easier to view. This is not a huge issue. I was using a laptop when I ran into this slight issue. When I tried it out on the desktop which has a larger monitor, everything was fine.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

The price is right for a fast program and you can use it with several other programs. Even though this is not a plugin, it is still a valuable tool that works great!

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a very lightweight tool to use for photo management and basic photo editing. While other applications might have more features, I normally only need a few basic functions to edit certain photos and I need to be able to do that fairly fast. ACDSee did not take long to install and took even less time to get up and running. To me, that is very important.

  ### 44. Long time user and it keeps getting better

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jodi S. | Website Designer/Developer (Freelance), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

ACDSee is easy to use. I've tried other photo editors and keep coming back. I can do so much with ACDSee and when I've tried others, the interface is confusing and I can't seem to get what I want as easily as with ACDSee. I also love that I can organize, manage, and edit all in one place.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

Often the quality of the end product is not as good as what I've been working on. I've found if I add some sharpness when I export, that helps, but I wish it were more spot on. I also wish there were more modern filters/effects to use either as a quick edit or a starting point (e.g., Instagram). I also wish every tool included masking.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

Try it free and you will see how easy it is to use.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast and simple non-destructive editing. I love being able to save versions and either decide to go back or have multiple edits of one photo.

  ### 45. Excellent Photo Editing and Archiving Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George M. | IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2019

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

ACDSee puts all the tools you need to organize, develop and distribute your digital photographs in one place instead of having to work you way through multiple pieces of software. Whether the user is a novice or a professional ACDSee will accommodate their needs.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

In the past the upgrade process has been a bit kludgy, but the ACDSee has improved that process tremendously over the past couple of releases. Additionally, ACDSee is a bit heavy on the "Buy NOW!" advertising for upgrades. However, they generally do offer good upgrade pricing to existing users.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

Get it.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had been using an Apple product that is no longer available. By moving to ACDSee I was able to standardize on a Windows platform and one piece of software that I own instead of multiple programs with subscription fees.

  ### 46. mighty photo browser!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin K. | art director, photographer, video editor, sfx, compositor, web designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

ACDSee can handle all the new raw files from all my photo cameras, i enjoy review from all photos with this great app! as a pro photographer, is must have application! i cannot see the world without it, it save a lot of time! Thanks for this! also file conversion is the best for quick reviews!

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

i turn off all audio and video files preview, its slowing me down and im not using this…, so its not like dislike, only i think nobody use ACDSee as video and audio player, but otherwise can be :) i also turn off face detection, cause it was also think to consider the speed, before was slowing me down, when you dont have this feature turn on, it takes about 70% faster to create the previews of raw files! :) otherwise, perfect....

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

Powerfull and quick beast! Theres no any other app so fast and full of options! :)

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

all photo reviews after shooting and file conversions for preview for the client and agenture, quick and fast as hell!!! ACDSee at overall is very powerfull and fast!

  ### 47. Great for sorting, tagging, cataloging.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathryn C. | Manager of Science Communication and Outreach, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

I use this for work to organize a large collection of photos from our department, to then be able to pass them on to marketing, PR, institutional advancement, etc. when they have specific photo needs for their uses, which are to promote our organization and communicate with supporters. I mostly use ACDSee for organization rather than photo editing. I love the ability to easily tag/catagorize, and then easily find photos that fit their needs.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

A little confused about how best to utilize the different tags - keywords vs. categories vs. labels.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

Do all of your file management in ACDSee! You will create duplicate/orphan photo files that are hard to get rid of, especially if you work off of a shared network drive.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PROBLEMS: Orphan files. I work off of a network drive, and ACDSee mirrors our file system. I am used to deleting/moving/renaming photos on the drive rather than through ACDSee (because of familiarity). However, I've realized that this causes duplicate/orphan file entries in ACDSee, which are not easily removed by the "remove all orphans" functions. Internet forums tell me that this it because I work off of a network drive, so ACDSee isn't sure whether the file is actually an orphan or not. It means that many of my photos show up three and four times. I've since started deleting/moving/renaming files within ACDSee to avoid this, but there's a big backlog of duplicate files that are clogging up my Photos view.

BENEFITS: Super useful for organizing and sorting -- tagging by type, subject, etc, and the facial recognition feature, are great for my work. The PHOTOS View, being able to see all of my pictures outside of their file structure, is revolutionary for my work. It's a huge time-saver to be able to scan what I have, rather than clicking through individual folders.

  ### 48. Only program you need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremiah R. | Mr., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

ACDSee has everything you need. You can get into all of the technical stuff with the photos and videos or you can just use the tools to clean up the photos and share. The program works for all levels of users.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

The only part of the programs that I have a little trouble with is the videos. I don't do videos very much so that might be part of it on my part, the learning curve to using it.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

You really can't go wrong with ACDSee. I learned how to use it very quickly and the quality of the product can't be beat.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not so much problems it's just using the program to adjust photos that I have taken. One area that I am using it more in is photo restoration. I was given all of my parents photos going back to the 1940's. I am scanning them, cleaning them up, and then sharing them with family through the albums. ACDSee really helps in bringing the old photos to life again.

  ### 49. Very easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steingrímur K. | Amateur photographer, Photography, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

I have been using ADCSee image processing software for decades and will continue to do so, as it is very productive and versatile, and very easy to use, despite countless technical features, features that increase with each update.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

That's when I put together 2-3 photos and more, to create a Panorama image Then a message comes up: "Can't process selected file"> 2019-08-01 14-59-11-sk-044 Panorama.
This picture is attached. This image is put together with the PTGui sewing software, which I have used for many years. The only program NOT able to open images processed with PTGui and the result (size) will be over 25,000 KB is, ADCSee (for many years) File Explorer can see it as well as all the image processing programs I've tested, and I use Corel PaintShop to open such photos, save as a new photo and then I can open the photo in ADCSee Poto Studio Ultimate 2019 and work there.
You must fix this, please. ( Sorry, it is not possible to send the attachment here, but I will of course do so if you send me an email sk21@simnet.is as a request.)

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

In my opinion: the best available for those who have little interest in "artistic" photographs and edits, but such works are enough

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything related to photographs (hundreds of thousands) Layout, image processing, retouching and more. I use ADCSee 95% of image processing

  ### 50. ACDSee Photo Studio 2019 Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve D. | Business Application Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about ACDSee?**

We use two features very frequently: (A) simple viewing of images, including scrolling through folders of such images; once the initial image is open, skimming through lots of images is very easy and very fast using the keyboard, and (B) simple cropping/resizing of images, which is extremely straightforward and easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about ACDSee?**

I wish the initial loading of an image would occur faster, as well as the switching between modes (e.g. Quick View mode --> Edit mode). Depending on image, it can take 10-15 seconds before the image appears when opened in ACDSee, even on a fairly well spec'd out laptop.

**Recommendations to others considering ACDSee:**

The great thing about ACDSee is that it's simple and easy enough for beginners to use for quick tasks yet still has a ton of features for editing and managing images that appeal to the more experienced user.
Transition from a competing product, such as Adobe Photoshop, is fairly seamless and much less expensive.

**What problems is ACDSee solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basic editing of photos for posting to our intranet site and use in marketing materials. The tagging feature is also helpful for organizing photos that may be spread across multiple folders. The benefit is that our more senior staff has been able to focus on other areas since these tasks are so simple in ACDSee.
