"Unexpected double charge after free trial (€366.82 + €21.10) with no refund"

What do you like best about AdCreative.ai?

You can get quick AI-generated ad creatives, but only around 30% are actually usable. The results are very inconsistent, and honestly, you can create similar or even better ads yourself on Canva — at a much lower cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AdCreative.ai?

Be careful with the billing system. I signed up for the 7-day free trial, and there was no clear information that it would automatically charge €366.82 at the end. I never received the reminder email they claim to have sent.

The moment I noticed the charge, I immediately downgraded to the Starter Plan (€21.10/month) — yet I was charged both amounts on the same day (€366.82 + €21.10).

What’s worse, my account only showed 10 credits, not the higher plan features I was billed for.

Support refused to issue a refund and said both charges were “normal.”

Very disappointing and not a transparent billing experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AdCreative.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?

Honestly, it didn’t really solve any problems for me. I wanted to test how well it could generate ad creatives to save time for my campaigns, but the results were inconsistent and most templates needed a lot of manual editing. The main issue came from the unclear billing process rather than any creative solution it provided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your billing situation caused frustration.

To clarify, AdCreative.ai operates on a subscription-based model, and after the 7-day free trial, the selected monthly plan automatically activates unless canceled beforehand. This rollover is clearly stated during the sign-up process, and reminder emails are automatically sent to the email address used at registration, though we understand they can sometimes land in spam or be missed.

The dual charge can happen due to a manual plan downgrade initiated after the initial plan had already been activated, as our system treated it as a switch for the next billing cycle. However, we do not double-charge unless a new plan was manually purchased. We recognize this can be confusing, and we’re actively working on improving the clarity and flow of this process.
