I have used it only once with broken hardware and was successful in recovering data (the process took a week). **What problems is Active@ File Recovery solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have been using versions of Active File Recovery since 2012. Most of the time I have used it on corrupted file systems due to accidental formatting of the disk or using unstable filesystem drivers. I have also used it successfully to recover data from a disk that indeed had hardware issues and was not spinning properly. I last used it on 4/2024 to recover files from an external disk. It has two interfaces: a basic one and an advanced one. It comes with a partition recovery tool, which can restore the operating system. Good features at an excellent price. **What do you dislike about Active@ File Recovery?** This software can only extract files of only 64 KB or less in size, which prevents you from recovering photos and videos. **Recommendations to others considering Active@ File Recovery:** This software is easy to use and is one of the cheapest in the market.
