Active@ Boot Disk comes with almost all LSoft's data recovery (File & Partition recovery, Undelete), security (KillDisk, Password Changer), and backup (Disk Image) apps. Whatever the situation you find yourself in, you are covered. It is very easy to install on a USB drive. **What do you dislike about Active@ Boot Disk?** As with some of LSoft's products, having so many apps in one is both a blessing and a curse. Active@ BootDisk is 3 data recovery apps and that's two too many. One data recovery application, such as UNDELETE with its RAID recovery feature, would have been more than enough. Another drawback is having to wait for the cumulative update for all these apps. Smaller apps, like UNDELETE, Disk Image, etc, are first to receive updates and only then do bigger apps like Active@ BootDisk and Data Studio start receiving their updates as well, which can take months. If there is a new feature or a bugfix, you will be one of the last ones to get it. On the other hand, as I was informed by LSoft's support, if all these updates were readily available, then the users would complain that there are too many of them. I guess there isn't perfect solution for this problem but I wish we had a choice. **What problems is Active@ Boot Disk solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was able to repair a corrupted Windows MBR using Active@ Boot Disk, and I also used it to back up data from computers that wouldn’t boot. ### 2. I often rely on its disk imaging, password recovery, and KillDisk features, and the file recovery option with file signature identification is a great addition as well. What I like most about Active boot disk is the Windows-like environment—it makes everything feel familiar and straightforward to work with. The BitLocker support is also very cool. **What do you dislike about Active@ Boot Disk?** When I need to clone a partition that has some bad sectors, I have to switch to a full drive clone. In partition mode, there isn’t an option to skip bad sectors, so I can’t complete the partition clone the way I need to. **What problems is Active@ Boot Disk solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sometimes the three-day running period is not enough. In difficult cases, I have to switch to another product just to make a bit-by-bit copy of a hard drive. ### 3.
