What do you like best about ABELDent?

The support team and trainers at Abel Dent are in my opinion, the very best. We recently transitioned from version 14 to Local + and my team and I were thrilled with the organization and training provided. Our trainer Kimberly was knowledgeable, kind and funny. She made long training sessions fly by and we all absorbed the information very well because it wasn't boring. Abel Dent allowed us unlimited training for a lengthy period and that was much appreciated. They provided guidance and gave feedback. 10/10 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABELDent?

What do you like best about ABELDent?

We recently transitioned our practice from one dentist to another. Kimberely was extremely supportive throughout this process. She was intuitive, thorough, organized and knowledgeable. We have been with Abeldent since 1991 and have had very few issues or problems that were not easily resolved. Working with people like Kimberely builds confidence in our knowledge that we have chosen the correct software company for our diverse and growing dental practice. What do you dislike about ABELDent?

All software packages come with inherent quirks that are unique to that particular software. We are confident that if we were to try other dental software packages, there would be a "wish list" of must haves. What do you like best about ABELDent?

We have used Abeldent for over two decades and are very used to the program. Even when we upgraded last year to a newer version we had an easy time re-training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"If You Have No Aspirations For Future-Proofing... It Will Do."
What do you like best about ABELDent?

It is reliable software if you are performing core functions day in and day out. It doesn't crash or freeze often. It also isn't a major memory hog. Changes to the day's schedule can be made relatively quickly, but other software still excel in this area more than Abeldent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABELDent?

This software was created a long time ago when cloud functionality was not on the radar. As a result, I find that trying to include that type of functionality is not a seamless or easy fit. It is also lacking in advanced reporting features that other software has, or that third-party integrations with Abeldent can provide. I also find the interface really dated and it isn't super intuitive to use to run reports as other software. The interface looks like something coming out from 90's software. Based on your comments, it seems that your experience is with older versions of ABELDent that had their roots in the 1980s or 1990s. In recent years we have developed new, modern versions of ABELDent, taking advantage of modern technologies, including cloud technologies.

If you are looking for modern dental software for your practice, we encourage you to consider our modern options, ABELDent Cloud and ABELDent Local+, among your options. Our current software includes many new features and improvements, including online forms, cloud backups, online payments, patient self-booking, and advanced reporting and analytics. In addition, our new software has improved navigation and a fresh new user interface. We think you would find our new versions to be a major improvement compared to the basic ABELDent software you describe in your review.

"Very Dated Software - Leaves Much To Be Desired"
What do you like best about ABELDent?

There is almost nothing to like, but if I had to pick something I would say that it is easy to learn the absolute basics of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABELDent?

- Very old software with infrequent updates that aren't that great

- Old looking user interface

- Speed of software varies even though no significant network changes have been made

- Difficult to run extensive reports, quite limited in functionality

- No easy online cloud implementation or website implementation for patients to complete forms online and be synced with Abeldent.

- Dated charting system

It is such a dated and low-end software in the industry that even when you want to jump ship, many new dental software cannot easily import its records or database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Based on your comments, we believe that your experience is with an older version of our ABELDent. Since we have been providing software to dentists since 1985, your comments may be a fair representation of our older versions compared to today's software.

In recent years, ABELDent released two new versions, ABELDent Cloud and ABELDent Local+. These new products include countless improvements over older versions, including the use of cloud technologies. The new versions also feature improved security, frequent updates, and a learning management system.

If you are in need of new software, we encourage you to consider our new software alongside any other products you may be looking at. I think that you will find that they compare well to other top options.
