# What is the best bot detection software for easy deployment with minimal engineering effort?

I'm asking because a lean team can't spend a quarter wiring up protection, and reviews vary a lot on this. There&#39;s a difference in what &quot;easy deployment&quot; actually buys you here, worth separating from the initial setup time question. DataDome, Fingerprint, and Cloudflare&#39;s self-service model gets you live fast, but your team is still the one who has to notice and adjust when false positives creep up months later, since nobody else is watching the tuning. AppTrana&#39;s managed model hands that ongoing tuning to a 24/7 SOC instead, which trades away some control but also permanently offloads a job that never really ends. So &quot;did easy setup trade off against control&quot; might have less to do with install time and more to do with who&#39;s responsible for tuning six months from now, and that&#39;s a much longer commitment than the JavaScript-tag install being asked about here.
