What do you like best about Zeffy?

The best thing about Zeffy is that it’s completely free for our organization. We run donations and event registration for our community center through it, and every dollar donors give actually reaches us instead of being cut by processing fees. The interface is clean and easy to follow, so setting up a new donation form or event page takes minutes, not hours, and our volunteers can manage it without any technical background. Donors also find the checkout simple, which has made it easier for people to give on their phones. Automatic tax receipts and the donor dashboard have saved us a lot of manual tracking and follow-up. What do you dislike about Zeffy?

One thing I wish Zeffy offered is a clear option for one-time donations on the forms we use. Many of our donors want to give a single gift, especially during fundraising drives or special events, and without a simple one-time option some of them get confused or hesitate to complete the donation. It would help a lot if the form let donors easily choose between a one-time gift and a recurring one, with the one-time option just as visible. What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before Zeffy, our donations were unpredictable. Most giving came in bursts around events or special appeals, which made it hard to plan our monthly budget and cover regular expenses. Zeffy’s recurring donation feature solved that by letting supporters set up automatic monthly gifts in just a few clicks. Now we have a steady, reliable stream of income we can count on, which helps us plan programs, pay ongoing costs, and spend less time chasing individual donations. "This is the BEST fundraising platform ever - and it's FREE"

What do you like best about Zeffy?

Zeffy provides everything I had in a very expensive fundraising platform for two years, but it's FREE!!! The support is great during onboarding.

I am able to maintain a contact list, track donations, send emails, raise money, and create quick and easy newsletters, all at no cost to my non-profit.

My favorite feature is Communications, where I can navigate and design a newsletter much like I would use Canva, Word, or PowerPoint. I can drag and drop images, select text boxes for headers and text, and move elements with my cursor. It's actually easier than other formats I've tried.

I can also send an immediate thank-you letter with a tax receipt to any donor. Then, when I have time, I can send a personal message or follow-up note to repeat donors, large-sum donors, etc.

The software is so intuitive that I rarely need to go to the help page, but it's invaluable when I do.

Two parts of Zeffy you may not have opened yet. Raffles support ticket bundles, prize tiers and 50/50 draws, which many organizations run beside a campaign they already have live and set up in an afternoon. Memberships handle tiers, automatic renewal and member cards, with renewal reminders sent for you, which gives an organization support arriving on a schedule rather than a fresh ask each time.

"Simple, All-in-One Platform with Fabulous Support for Small Nonprofits"

What do you like best about Zeffy?

It is fairly simple to use and so many ways to use it. It has everything in one platform such as membership, newsletter, fundraising and so much more. The whole set up and integration process was easier than the other platforms I have used and it is really nice to actually see that our hard work is getting some return in our bank account. Having this free platform made it easier for our small non profit organization to perform better online. The support was fabulous because it was easy to chat with them to find or resolve any issues. Saving our costs of using a communication platform. We used to have three separate platforms to communicate with our membership, to raise funds, and create newsletters but now thanks to Zeffy, it is all in one place! Cloning a whole campaign is available today, which carries a fair amount of the setup across.

Two things worth exploring. Peer to peer fundraising gives your members their own pages with leaderboards and team sub campaigns, plus automated reminder emails. Tap to Pay turns a smartphone into a card reader for in person collection, with no terminal and no extra hardware.

What do you like best about Zeffy?

We are very pleased with Zeffy. It's easy to use for both the charity and the donor, and donations are credited to our account in a timely manner. We also appreciate that Zeffy allows the donor to choose their "tip" amount. Plus, the custom questions, such as whether the donor would like to be on an appreciate list saves us a step. I wish that Zeffy would ask donors if they have company matching funds and if Zeffy could accept DAF and stock donations. If Zeffy could drive more people to donate to our charity or offer matching gifts, that would be great. So far, we have received donations only from people in our network. Two things worth exploring for reaching beyond your existing network. Peer to peer fundraising lets supporters raise on your behalf from their own pages, with leaderboards, team sub campaigns and automated reminder emails, which is usually the fastest way to reach second degree contacts. Donor Mail sends personalized appeals as physical mail from your dashboard, with printing and postage handled for you.

What do you like best about Zeffy?

Once my board and I discovered Zeffy, we haven't turned back. Zeffy is so functional and accessible that it has completely changed the game. What do you dislike about Zeffy?

The only two thing I have noticed throughout using Zeffy is the donation to Zeffy and the bugs. it does occasionally lag to where I have to exit out and go completely back on-- but I know I put this platform through the ringer in terms of work so I am very understanding. I have gotten a good amount of questions when it comes to the "donations" to HCCA when it doesn't necessarily always go to us. I get it! Zeffy has to make money, it just can come off as a little deceitful to some of our audience. We have since then added a statement to campaigns to let people know the donations purpose and their options when checking out. Other than that, we love Zeffy. Zeffy being so accessible and functional benefits our organization immensely. We now have our own little website on their showing our campaigns and donations. We also now use it for our newsletters! Let me tell you, that has made my life so much easier. because Zeffy keeps records of contacts, it automatically keeps them for our newsletter--amazing! The fact that it gives our donors and sponsors a receipt as soon as they check out, customers can do auto-pay and do monthly payments etc, and there's even a member campaign option? Zeffy solves one of the biggest challenges for a growing nonprofit: having an affordable and efficient way to collect donations and manage fundraising without losing funds to platform fees. The biggest benefit is that more of every dollar raised can go directly to our program, literally directly into our checking account. Two things worth exploring. Memberships handles tiers, automatic renewal on a monthly, annual or custom cycle, membership card generation and member discounts on events. The online store gives you product listings with inventory tracking, discount codes and shipping options.

What do you like best about Zeffy?

Zeffy is improving all the time. the technical people are responsive and helpful, the organisation as a whole seems open to suggestions and keen to learn from users. There are some limitations on the creative side and the use of AI can generate some rather fawning and patronising e-mails. I would prefer the ability to customise both the appearance of tickets and e-mails to suit our ethos and brand, but as long as one is aware of the potential for Zeffy to auto-generate trashy mail, it can at least be edited or deleted. Copy that reads as fawning does not serve your ethos, and we would rather hear that plainly than have people quietly delete it. Zeffy is an all inclusive fundraising platform with 0% platform fees, so the improvements you are describing reach every organization at once rather than only those on a paid tier. Being able to brand tickets and emails to match your own look is genuinely helpful feedback, and both that and the tone of generated copy go to our product team, who ship improvements weekly and are, as you say, keen to learn from users. "The BEST Decision Our Small Nonprofit Has Made!"

What do you like best about Zeffy?

After extensively reviewing online giving platforms, we determined Zeffy was the clear winner...but honestly thought it all might be too good to be true. Multiple modes of donation (auction, campaigns, one-time fundraisers, team giving), robust database feature, easy list-building, website plug-ins, AND an email newsletter feature for FREE?!? We decided to give it a trial run and here we are, 1.5 years later, even more impressed with it than at the beginning. The customer service is next level, with accompanying webinars and tutorials that are extremely well-crafted and helpful. The communication tools are just what we need. And Zeffy is always making improvements to its operations (for example, the newsletter formatting has improved dramatically in the short time I've been using it). We are massive fans. We really haven't experienced any downsides. Zeffy allows our donors a choice to publicly declare their support for us or to remain anonymous. They have a choice as to whether or not to donate in support of the Zeffy platform in addition to supporting us. It makes ticketing for our events easy and creates a shareable link or QR code. As an organization it helps us keep accurate records of donations and all donations are direct deposited into our account on a regular basis. All around it has been extremely helpful!
