# Which desktop database platforms export data cleanly to Excel or other systems for teams needing flexible reporting?

Kintone: Exporting reports from Kintone makes mailing, verifying information, and creating labels easy — a workflow that depends on correctly formatted, immediately usable export output. Helps keep reporting simple by replacing the previous process of manually pulling figures from different spreadsheets. The REST API exposes records to external BI tools, and the Zapier integration enables scheduled exports to Google Sheets or other downstream systems without manual intervention.

Microsoft Access: The Excel integration is seamless and makes it easy to move data between Access and Excel without problems. ODBC connectivity allows Access to serve as the query layer for SQL Server or other databases, with results exported to Excel through standard Access report functionality.

Ninox: CSV export for Excel is confirmed as a production-validated workflow Make integration allows automated data exports to downstream systems on a schedule.

Memento Database: CSV import and export for seamless integration with Microsoft Excel, FileMaker, and other popular programs is specifically listed as a core feature. Data Publishing allows database views to be shared as interactive web pages or embedded into external sites, with real-time updates — a reporting integration that does not require an export step at all. SQL query support enables custom data extraction for teams with light technical capability.

SpeedBase: Helps in centralising and updating data from a single location with clean output for operational reporting.

What was the export format, how did you get data from the database to the stakeholder, and what was the manual step you could not eliminate?

<p>The step that never fully disappears is re-mapping headers after someone adds a field mid-quarter; the export still runs, but the stakeholder's pivot table breaks silently until someone notices. Kintone's API sidesteps it better than Access's static report layout, since the schema travels with the call rather than being a fixed template.</p>
