Also if a property is put in the wrong place I can move it and it saves the new location indefinitely. Lastly the ability to track our drivers location is invaluable in our industry, as it helps us to know when orders are being completed. **What do you dislike about OptimoRoute?** I'm going to have to say the price, it comes in at double or more than most other routing softwares, but I haven't found anything else as good as it so I'm sticking with tried and true. Anytime I have tried a cheaper routing software it's just as optimized, and time is money, so the lost time and money in inefficient routes keeps me going back to Optimoroute. **What problems is OptimoRoute solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem solved is knowing when and where our inspectors are throughout the day and their route. If I haven't heard back from an inspector and I don't see them on route then I know I need to get that work reassigned and I can do that early and reliably since I have confirmation from Optimoroute regarding where they are or aren't. The option of being able to balance the order and having the option of adjusting the percentage of the balancing is great. I can easily export my orders from Excel and Import them into OptimoRoute. **What do you dislike about OptimoRoute?** There is almost too much information. Sometimes the UI could be a little more intuitive. Its also quite pricey I think its approx 30 usd for 2 users. There were a lot of free apps out there but definitely not as robust. **What problems is OptimoRoute solving and how is that benefiting you?** During Covid we all of a sudden had a ton of online orders that we needed to get out fast. We demoed a few different systems and found OptimRoute to be the best. We got up to speed very quickly as well. We have two drivers and I could plan each of their routes individually. They also found it easy to use when they were on the road. Even when we do small trips with only 10 deliveries they now ask me to create a route for them. I think the price of the App pays off with the hours they save on the road. We only had one driver and he was overwhelmed and it added hours onto his day. We have tried other Applications but each one was missing one of the following key functions: -Importing, rather than manual typing everything. -Multiple drivers / routes on one screen -Ablility to route based on time window / priority, most only use distance based routing. It would seem that routing based on time windows would be an absolute necessary function of any routing software, but this is not the case. Exploring OptimoRoute, we have found that the projected ETAs have helped train new dispatchers on estimating ETAs for clients more than two stops ahead on a route. It is possible to add many different types of constraints so the optimized route reflects our delivery scenario properly. One of the best features is the OptimoRoute app. We can track our drivers in real time and see how they are performing. With OptimoRoute's API it is also possible to connect our system with their's that enables us to create a better user experience for our customers. New features are being added regularly which is very important for our market that is very competitive and technical. This product give us a much needed edge. **What do you dislike about OptimoRoute?** Everything that we disliked in the beginning has been fixed. **Recommendations to others considering OptimoRoute:** If the geo-location is not perfect for you country they can switch to other internal systems that might work better. **What problems is OptimoRoute solving and how is that benefiting you?** Each driver has a lot of stops in his routs that needs to be delivered very efficiently to lower costs. Having our hyperlinks right there in our drivers' e-mail. Viewing the timeline at any point in the day to see where a driver should be right now. **What do you dislike about OptimoRoute?** One feature I could really use is to search an address and find out exactly if and when we were ever at that address before. Also, I do not know exactly what my company owner pays for this program, but I understand that it is expensive. **What problems is OptimoRoute solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used to not give clients a time window, just a day that we would arrive. There is alot of functionality which provides a holistic and detailed view of time, distance and travelling patterns within the preset parameters. **What do you dislike about OptimoRoute?** It would be nice if the route sharing was automated rather than having to log in every morning to share routes to the drivers apps. Having a built in database, which considers drivers trends to specific locations when planning routes and allows for flexibility within a week. (seeing Tuesday's clients on Monday) **What problems is OptimoRoute solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ability to "track" sales staff in the field and identify key areas where we are either over/ under utilizing resources. Optimoroute provided an excellent quality solution with rich API support that allowed us to integrate seamlessly into our operations. This is backed up by a team that has given us outstanding after-sales support. I'd also have to say that the ability to strike a balance between producing a fleet-optimal route and one that spreads fair workload across our drivers is fairly key to the success of adopting the platform and is a popular feature with our team. **What do you dislike about OptimoRoute?** The actual route planning each day is conducted by our dispatch managers who are drivers by trade. I'd love to see more work put into the web interface, specifically the ability to visually manipulate the output of the optimiser by drag-and-drop. This doesn't prevent us from benefiting from Optimoroute, but it would allow us to integrate our operations more tightly with their platform. **Recommendations to others considering OptimoRoute:** This is a great solution, especially if you need to model special fleet features or multiple capacities (i.e. volume + weight + other limits simultaneously). **What problems is OptimoRoute solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're solving a fairly complex model for delivery and pickup of equipment across a fleet of trucks over multiple cities. We've gained the ability to get from a standing start to an 80% solution for our scheduling much more quickly each day, and in testing we're typically making daily savings in the order of hundreds of kilometers traveled and hours worked (both out on the road, and back in the office planning) **Official Response from Support Team:** > Hey there! We use the APIs to push and pull orders in to our system after Optimo does a great job routing. The work flow is great for us. **What do you dislike about OptimoRoute?** We would like to get a few more features exposed in the API. Weekly routing and multipel time windows. **What problems is OptimoRoute solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a solution to scheduling our work crews and order drop-offs and tried other Routing SAS providers. One of the others had buggy software and un-reliable routing algorithm and the other didn't have the APIs we needed. Every suggestion to make the software work better for our company has been taken, worked into the software, and pushed back out to us with minimal turnaround time.
