# Who do legal teams trust most for privacy policy generators, based on user reviews?

DataGuard (4.6 stars, 121 reviews) earns trust for pairing software with real compliance consultants, with one longtime customer noting that having a dedicated expert who understood their business made a measurable difference during ISO 27001 and GDPR audits.

PrivacyEngine (4.7 stars, 84 reviews) gets consistent praise for its ready-made DPIA and risk assessment templates, which legal teams say cut down significantly on the time needed to demonstrate GDPR compliance.

Carbide (4.6 stars, 86 reviews) stands out for its guided, step-by-step certification process, with reviewers preparing for SOC 2 or ISO 27001 crediting an assigned compliance partner with keeping them accountable through a process that can otherwise feel overwhelming.

The dedicated-expert angle matters most when the template stops giving an obvious answer. I’d test each service with a genuinely ambiguous change, such as launching in a new jurisdiction or introducing a new data use, and see whether the assigned expert can explain what actually needs changing and why. That would separate access to a named contact from access to someone providing useful compliance judgment.
