Navisworks is an essential part of my workflow for merging multi-disciplinary models and conducting thorough viewpoint reviews. The Model Coordination Add-in has significantly streamlined our process by connecting cloud models directly to Navisworks, eliminating manual exports and saving hours of file management each week. While the Model Coordination Add-in is a great addition, the clash detection integration feels incomplete. In Navisworks, Clash Detective operates as a standalone tool rather than natively syncing with cloud-based Model Coordination issues. It would be much more efficient if clashes detected in Navisworks could be automatically converted into tracked like model coordination issues directly through the add-in workflow. As a BIM Manager, what I like best about Navisworks is its ability to bring all disciplines into one federated model and quickly identify coordination issues before construction starts. My favorite part is its incredible performance when opening massive 3D files without crashing, along with the smooth integrations that make it easy to bring models from different software into one place and combine them seamlessly. If I need to find a particular clash number from a clash test, it’s very difficult because there’s no search tab for it. Also, batch clash approval is very slow.
