Nothing they are terrible and care nothing about the customer

**What do you dislike about Melio?**

This is one of the worst payment platforms ever. The customer service/support is horrible and don't expect them to explain things to you or have an actual human to speak with to resolves issues. I have a legitimate business and they were asking me for documents that do not apply I have everything needed from the state and it's to prove I have a business and they still froze my payments and shut down my account and you can never get a real person on the phone except their outsourced customer service number who can't do anything to help you. I really wanted to like this platform but the more they let robots take over the horrible they get. I own an accounting firm and I thought this would also be a good solution for a lot of my clients with AR and AP needs, but I was sadly mistaken and one of the clients actually had a huge issue with company as well.

**What do you like best about Melio?**

I do not like Melio at all. I Have nothing good to say.

**What do you dislike about Melio?**

I began using Melio approximately two months ago. During this period, the company processed four ACH payments on my behalf. However, three of those payments failed to reach my account and remain unaccounted for.

Despite multiple inquiries, Melio representatives have not provided any clear explanation or resolution. I have repeatedly been told that the matter is “under review,” yet no substantive updates have been given. Melio has not clarified whether the funds were deposited into an incorrect account, when or if the missing funds will be recovered, or whether there has been any security breach involving my account.

The company’s lack of transparency, accountability, and effective communication has been extremely concerning. Efforts to obtain assistance through their customer support have been unproductive, as I am consistently redirected to online chat agents—with each interaction beginning anew and no meaningful progress made. Requests for a direct phone discussion have also been declined.

Based on my experience over the past two weeks, it has become evident that Melio’s handling of this issue has been deeply unsatisfactory. I strongly urge any current or prospective users to exercise caution when considering using their services until these systemic issues are addressed.

Very user-friendly, and the customer service is unmatched! The integration between Melio and Quickbooks Online is seamless and saves us time and money.

**What do you dislike about Melio?**

The only downsides are that since Melio is still relatively new, there are features such as integrating with Quickbooks Desktop that is not supported yet.

It is an easy platform that anyone can learn pretty quickly. The fact that it is free is also a significant benefit as clients can save a lot of money.

I use it primarily for account receivable. It offers competitive rates. Is easy to use. I use it several times a week to process invoice. I haven't used customer support in a while.

Some clients have issues using it because of the need to verify the bank accounts.

Ease of receiving the majority of direct deposit payments. Minimal interaction with the application.

**What do you like best about Melio?**

Melio is easy to use and integrates seamlessly with QBO so that I can streamline my workflow for my clients.  Vendors are able to choose how they receive their payments, and we can choose to pay with a credit card (even if the vendor doesn't accept credit cards!).  It's cost-effective with fantastic customer support.  If we ever have a problem with USPS delivering a paper check, we contact support and request to void and reissue the check - easy-peasy.  I use Melio every day for all of my bill pay clients and I'm very happy with it.

**What do you dislike about Melio?**

Because Melio allows vendors to choose to receive a paper check, we sometimes have problems with USPS.

**What problems is Melio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Melio I can support my bill pay clients fully remotely.  Pre-pandemic I had clients that required I spend time in their office weekly to prepare paper checks for signature and mailing.  This made check requests take 2-3 weeks at times since we had to wait for my "in-office day" to enter the bill and print the check, then wait for the signer who wasn't in the office everyday.  Once the check was signed someone had to file the bill paperwork and the check stub and put the check in the mail, and then the USPS had to deliver it...  Now, we can streamline this entire process and perform all of these functions electronically in 2-3 days instead of 2-3 weeks.

**What do you like best about Melio?**

I really love this service. It has allowed my small business to collect small invoices from my clients without exorbitant fees and untimely delays. I highly recommend it, and will continue using Melio for the foreseeable future. 
It is so easy to create an invoice - it looks professional and my clients are comfortable with the security features to input their banking information.

It would be great if clients had the option to pay from a personal account, instead of only from a business account.

**What problems is Melio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paypal, Venmo, and Zelle are not professional enough for my type of business and clients. Melio provides a professional, secure, cost effective way to invoice my clients. Most of my clients pay invoices via check, so I only need this service a few times a year. It did not make sense for me to pay exorbitant monthly or transaction fees for just a few annual transactions, that average no more than $2500 each.

**What do you like best about Melio?**

Melio enables our clients to pay their invoices when they want to and how they want to. Quite a few times, we've had clients running low on capital who expressed the need to pay with a credit card. With Melio, it's as simple as sending our client a link to pay and they can go ahead and take care of their balance with a credit/debit card or securely link their bank account to pay by direct deposit. Additionally, Melio stays in sync with the invoices we have in QuickBooks Online, so we don't have to manually create anything in Melio; just copy and paste the link to them and that's all they need. We receive their payment within a few days, for free!

**What do you dislike about Melio?**

It takes a few days to receive payment from our clients once they've sent their payment through Melio (3-4 days not including weekends). We do have the option to receive payment sooner, for a fee; this is less than ideal but it's an option.

**What problems is Melio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Melio allows our clients to pay us electronically with the payment method of their choice. We've historically struggled to find a platform that allowed for this, but since implementing Melio, we and our clients couldn't be happier.

Melio makes sending ACH payments incredibly simple and quick. Setting up an account takes just a minute, and connecting a bank account is straightforward. I really like that I can pay vendors or contractors directly from my bank without needing their bank info—Melio handles it all securely. The scheduling feature is also super helpful for recurring payments.

The free plan only includes a limited number of free ACH transfers each month, and after that, there’s a small fee per transaction. When Melio is set up properly, it continues to work and makes it very easy for our clients to pay for our services, either through a direct bank payment or a credit card. We get paid regularly on a monthly basis now rather than having to wait for checks from our clients. It also integrates with our accounting system.

The only challenges we've had with Melio are when there is a problem setting up an account. We've attempted to have them use Melio customer support, but we often have to help them out ourselves to get it to work correctly.

Melio makes paying vendors simple, fast, and trackable. The UI is clean, approvals are easy to set up, and we can pay via ACH or card (even when a vendor doesn’t take cards) while Melio deposits to their bank or mails a check. The QuickBooks Online sync is rock-solid—bills, payments, and remittances flow without double entry, and the audit trail keeps our clients compliant. Scheduling payments, tracking status in real time, and inviting vendors through a secure link has cut our AP admin time dramatically and improved cash-flow control.

**What do you dislike about Melio?**

Nothing critical, but a few nice-to-have improvements: deeper reporting/analytics (e.g., more customizable AP aging and cash-flow dashboards), bulk approval actions for larger batches, and more granular user permissions for multi-entity environments. Support is responsive, though at quarter-end the queue can be a bit longer. Overall, these are minor compared to the value we get.

We centralized accounts payable for multiple clients, eliminated paper checks, and reduced late fees. Being able to pay by card has extended float when needed and earned rewards, while automatic QBO reconciliation saves hours each week. Melio has made International Wire payments much easier than before. I used to be hesitant to send an International Wire with Melio due to my first experience where the payment was not received. However, whatever changes they made did the trick and payments go through without issue lately.

**What do you dislike about Melio?**

I have been using Melio for years now and just recently was required to submit personal and company verifications to complete payments to vendors that I have been paying for quite some time. It would be nice to have a notification section that lets us know of any updated information required so we are not hit with an email after initiating a payment that more verification information is required.

This is a very user friendly application.

We do not accept direct credit card payments. Melio allows our vendors to pay invoices with credit and/or debit cards as well as check or ACH.

**What do you like best about Melio?**

Melio makes paying vendors super simple. I like that I can pay by bank transfer for free, or even use a credit card when I need to manage cash flow. The option for Melio to mail a check to vendors who don’t take digital payments is a huge plus. The interface is clean and straightforward, and the QuickBooks integration saves me a lot of time on reconciliation.

**What do you dislike about Melio?**

The main downside is that checks can take a while to arrive, so if I need a payment to get there quickly I have to plan ahead. Customer support is generally good, but I’ve had to wait longer than I’d like for certain issues to be resolved. I also wish there were a few more reporting features for tracking payments and approvals.

**What problems is Melio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Melio helps me keep all my vendor payments in one place instead of juggling different bank portals, checks, and credit cards. It takes away the hassle of writing and mailing checks myself, and the QuickBooks sync means I don’t spend hours reconciling transactions. Being able to use a credit card to pay vendors who normally only take checks also helps with cash flow, which has been a real benefit for my business.

**What do you like best about Melio?**

The approval workflows provide good customization to match with our client's unique needs. Our clients like the invoice view during the approval process as well because it makes it very quick and easy to review and approve payments. We've also found the varying speeds of payment with different fee structures to be a big selling point for some clients. A lot of bill pay options only offer one or two speeds of payment (ACH or paper check for example) while Melio offers instant, same day, regular ACH and paper check.

**What do you dislike about Melio?**

The biggest frustration we've had with Melio is the lack of clarity around how Melio sets limits on the client's account. When speaking with customer support it sounds like an algorithm just makes the determination and we weren't able to get much information on how or when the client would be approved for features like same-day payments.

**What problems is Melio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Melio helps us coordinate large volumes of AP requests in an organized manner that allows us to involve the client as needed with customized approval workflows.

As a user and reseller of Melio.  The ease of use and integrations have always been of interest.  The flexibility of ACH, debit, and credit payments also make the solution appealing. The expanded integrations with more accounting solutions as well as multi-currency payment options have made this platform more robust.

**What do you dislike about Melio?**

I did not experience anything negative from using Melio.  I would need to research if it can handle larger companies looking to outsource AP & AR functions.

The ability to pay all vendors regardless of whether they were Melio customers are well.  One platform to play invoices and contractors is ideal. Integration to bookkeeping and accounting systems eliminates redundant entries, that reduce errors.

Melio is a handy platform that has definitely streamlined our bill pay process for a number of our vendors.  The ability to email a photo of an invoice and have the data import is great.  They continue to release updates that makes the platform better.

There are just a few small bugs that are annoying, but don't really affect the overall functionality.  I've reported them to Melio and hope to see them fixed in the future.

Melio is a very good, mostly single use tool. It pays people electronically even if they are quite low tech. It is more reliable than bank "bill pay" because it invites recipients of funds to provide their banking information so that they can receive the payments directly in their bank account. Lower cost than paying by credit card, more secure than paper checks.

Melio should do 1099-NEC and other year-end financial reporting. But it doesn't - remember it is mostly a single use tool and doesn't do more than that one thing. If this is your one thing, give it a try.

Milo is simple to use, has ease of integration, implementation, and the whole interface just looks very clean. Everything feels smooth, and you don’t need to be a tech savy to figure all the thing out, yes, it's that easy and simple! The tool has good frequency of use with limited customer support.

Even though Milo is simple to use, it also has some limitation. You experience a lot of troble by making a simple payment at times. So, I can’t imagine what would happen if one transact big money by mistake.

Also, sometimes, my invoices don’t show up when I need to send them, which is really frustrating. And finally, the customer support need to speed up their responses.

Nearly all of Melio's features are now locked behind an expensive paywall. For years, my company relied on Melio to seamlessly process payments for our 1099 contractors, with no issues. The platform previously earned revenue from the float—the interest accrued between debiting funds from our account and crediting them to contractors. However, Melio now requires a costly monthly subscription for most services, leaving only single payment processing available without a fee. What was once an indispensable tool for our business has become prohibitively expensive.

**What problems is Melio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Melio provides a streamlined way to manage contractor payments by collecting payment details and processing transactions electronically. This eliminates the need for paper checks and manual tracking, saving time and reducing errors. However, while the service is convenient, the introduction of expensive monthly fees has diminished its overall value, especially for small businesses that previously relied on its free features.

Melio is extremely easy to use, and I like that I can pay vendors even if they don't handle credit cards. The free ACH transfers are a big plus, and the interface is clean and minimal. It certainly makes it easier to deal with payments.

**What do you dislike about Melio?**

At times, they take a long time to process a payment, which can be annoying if you're short on time. It would also be wonderful if they included more accounting tool integrations to make everything flow a little smoother.

Melio simplifies business payments, making it simple to pay suppliers even those who do not accept credit cards. Free ACH transfers save money, and scheduling payments helps manage cash flow. It eliminates the bother of writing checks and tracking payments manually.
