  ### 3. Quick and Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Esper?**

I love the level of control I was able to get from Esper and how easy it was to setup and deploy.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

the Geofencing was a bit wonky with the grouping other than that not much.

I needed a quick and robust MDM/EMM solution to run some Kiosks. I was able to have the initial deployment rolled out in under two hours.

  ### 4. Very Easy to deploy and Manage. Kiosk experience is really good.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

  ### 5. Sophisticated and Intuitive MDM Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan M. | IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Esper made it easy to set up our devices right away. The documentation was precise and straightforward. The contact for the company went above and beyond helping us get started and made sure to answer any questions we may have had. The dashboard isn't cluttered, and the UI makes things easy to find because of how items are grouped. From finding the software to having it work in less than a day was beyond my expectation.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Cannot rename endpoints (they let you know about this ahead of time).

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a simple way to lock down devices that were going to be utilized under specific conditions. Esper made it easy to create different provisions per department and use case. Having access to location data for the devices gave us piece of mind for any equipment leaving the facility. Being able to add and remove applications remotely from the dashboard has also been very useful to us.

  ### 6. Works flawlessly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robin A. | Churchwarden, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

It was very easy to get started. A guided step by step process led me through creating a device template and within an hour I was provisioning my first device.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

I seemed to struggle to set up a Managed Google Play (Enterprise) Account. That's not Esper's issue, but an idiot's guide kept up to date as Google change their signup processes would have been a help for someone like me starting completely from scratch.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're setting up unattended giving / payment kiosks in a church using Android tablet devices and EMV contactless payment card readers. Installing, securing and maintaining the Android tablets seemed like it was going to be the long pole in the tent but Esper takes care of that and lets us manage the deployed devices from a web portal, too.

  ### 7. Very reliable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2022

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Compared to the value I have from esper there is nothing I dislike

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

Android tablets

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitor the battery charge, make me catch the premeditation of disconnecting the device

  ### 8. Best software of its kind

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raj S. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Esper?**

The free plan for up to 100 devices is just fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Some devices sometime go offline automatically (turn off) and i haven't been able to figure out why.

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

Go for it. You will not be disappointed. There free plan makes it just that much easier to try them out.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote viewing, Device software management

  ### 9. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** It P. | IT Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

Could have more features and customizability.

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

Easy to install and manage

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easier to manage android devices

  ### 10. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven H. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Esper?**

I was more than pleasantly surprised at the ease of setup with Esper. They provided clear provisioning methods, including a simple QR code method.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

I wish there was a way to more easily schedule tasks and app activity on provisioned devices.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a simple kisok solution for office music control.

  ### 11. Esper

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oliver W. | IT Systemadministrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Esper is very user-friendly and has a high level of functionality.
We manage our employees' devices centrally.
This enables us to have better control and easier handling of the processes.
In addition, we can track the locations of our employees and thus increase and optimize productivity enormously.
The remote diagnosis of errors makes the manageability much easier.
The configuration of the individual groups is just great.
The quick response time of the application enables quick action in the event of problems or changes

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

If a user interface were available in German, it would be easier for our responsible employees to use.

A more precise grouping of the end devices would be an even greater advantage

An update function for the implemented apps would also be an advantage

Unfortunately, the application sometimes hangs up on the terminal devices and the smartphone has to be restarted.
A minimum requirement should be made visible.

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

Esper is ideally suited for the simple handling of multiple end devices to ensure the guidelines in your company regarding data protection and security.
In addition, by restricting the rights of the end, users can reduce the error rate.
The remote installation saves an enormous amount of time.
Just an excellent product

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We manage our employees' devices from a central point.
This enables us to have better control and easier handling of the processes.
Furthermore, we can track the locations of our employees and thus increase and optimize productivity enormously.
Remotely diagnosing errors makes manageability much easier.

  ### 12. I'm not sure how we'd run our business without Esper.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew B. | Co-Founder & CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

I really enjoy the ability to control devices remotely. It's a lot easier to debug issues in the field when you can remotely view and control devices; without Esper, I imagine we'd waste a lot of time driving around. In addition, it's really easy to distribute APKs to the devices you manage in Esper and keep them up to date. Esper's alerting features are also nice; we know when one of our tablets goes offline or has low battery. Esper also makes setting up a new device super simple; we just scan a QR code and all the settings and applications we need are automatically applied to the device. Esper's prcing model is very startup friendly with a generous free tier until we have more devices to manage! The couple of times we reached out to support, we got quick and helpful responses.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

The console UI is not always intuitive, but I still find it easier to use than the UI from their competitors. They're a young company, so there are some occasional growing pains.

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

Do what I did and try out their competitors (Scalefusion, Hexnode, etc.) and see for yourself how much better from both a pricing and ease of use standpoint Esper is.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Esper to manage Android tablets distributed to various stores. Those stores use the tablets to receive and process orders. Esper allows us to distribute apps, keep those apps up to date, restrict how the tablets are used, and we can even remotely view and control the tablets. As a result, we are able to quickly iterate on our software and remotely resolve any issues that come up.

  ### 13. Great MDM that provides all the tools you'd need and more

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel O. | Junior Technical Systems Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Esper provides a vast assortment of tools that allow you to configure mobile devices to precisely what you need them to be while providing additional tools such as GPS tracking and screen control to allow easy remote access and a reliable way to track down missing devices. All these settings can be easily implemented to a device by creating a template and setting up your device using the template's QR code.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

The way to access Esper's settings menu when set to be hidden can be a bit tedious if the lock screen on the device isn't disabled. More or selectable options for opening the menu would significantly improve the fluidity of the product. Esper could also benefit from having a proper setting for deactivating kiosk mode from the device itself instead of having to deselect the app being used and hitting the back button a few times to exit to the home scr

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

Esper is an excellent MDM so long as you use an Android device, as it does not work on IOS or PC. If using Esper for the kiosk mode, I would recommend disabling the lock screen to access the Esper settings menu easily by turning the device off and on three times.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Esper has helped my team configure devices for a client that has particular needs. The massive selection of configuration options has allowed us to meet those needs while providing even more benefits over previously used MDMs.

  ### 14. Excellent MDM for our needs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul R. | IT Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

I like that it utilizes the QR code setup capability of Android (one of four ways) to provision the devices. I deployed just over 50 Lenovo tablets with Esper, and aside from a couple getting stuck in provisioning, everything fell into place beautifully. The interface is easy to use, and find what you need within it.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Occasionally, during the provisioning of devices, apps would take a long time to install. There are some settings that I wish could be controlled but don't seem to have an option.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Each of our devices has a minimal 500MB of cellular data to use for the month. By using Esper, I have made sure only apps that need to be used are available to the end-user, effectively preventing data misuse.

  ### 15. Great Support, Excellent Product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian D. | Lead Dispatcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Easy to use even for a novice in this area of device management. Great support.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

I wish I had more options to push updates to the phones from the Google Play store so I could ensure all phones were up-to-date with the click of a mouse.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am presently having no problems with Esper. I have been better able to manage my delivery driver fleet of devices both for tracking, usage and updates to our non-Google Play Store applications that are daily use for our drivers.

  ### 16. Easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Easy to use, works as advertised. With minor trial and error managed to set up a group of devices to do exactly what we needed. Support has always been helpful on the rare times it was needed.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Not a big fan of how the support forum is organized, but there is a lot of good information there.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We built an offline version of one of our websites on tablets to reach rural commuities that do not have reliable internet access. Easy to add our content and to lock the tablets down against any unexpected use.

  ### 17. Working very good

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nefesh C. | CIO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Ease of use, multi-provisioning options.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

the remote control should work faster, and the play store enrolment is not clear

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

kiosk mode for digital signage

  ### 18. Esper is more than MDM solutions. With Esper, all devices are in our control. Esper saves our lives.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thein K. | Mobile App cum IT Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Esper's provisioning templates help a lot for the initial setup. Geofencing is such a fantastic feature for us. Google play control feature makes it a lot easier

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Factory reset step is needed for all provisioning methods. It's not comfortable for an old device with user data.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralize control, content management through the cloud, geofencing, google play management. These features fit our rural development kiosk project target.

  ### 19. Simple & effective MDM solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Esper?**

The simplicity in using the interface and getting things done effectively. I appreciate the fact that someone who is not technical is able to set policies easily.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Alerts are quite limited and have scope in improvement. Geo-fence is a great feature however it would be great to have feature to disable siren and track the device live.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Esper to manage my restaurant's kiosks and staff's work profile. I am able to effectively lock the kiosks to the few needed apps and have my employees access only the KOT/Sales apps securely.

  ### 20. Does it All!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kris G. | IT Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

The dashboard is fantastic. You get an overall status and health look at all your devices.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

The only thing that stands out that I don't like is that it is not iOS capable.

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

Give it a shot. It will not cost you anything, and you will be pleased! I know I was. The ability to make changes on the fly without having to bring the devices back to the home office is a huge time and MONEY saver!

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to reset, update and install different apps on each tech's device from one location is the best! We have techs in 13 different states!

  ### 21. AS per the observation the product for android mobile management is very much enough

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sachin B. | Head of I.T, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

To manage and control the devices of android

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Need at least to control IOS devices product

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

Need further to control any specific device to control in terms of desirable / enable device wise setting

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

mainly to control and inventory

  ### 22. The Perfect Platform for my Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom F. | Co-founder & CPO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

The best part about the esper platform is that we are able to view the locations of all of the tablets that we deploy. In addition, being able to remote share the screen of each tablet helps us guide our customers through our app.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Overall, the platform is great. The only thing I would like to see is integrations with customer success platforms.

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

It's by far better than any android Kiosk software we've used before. At first, we were using esper to lock down devices but now we use it for so much more like remote view and geolocation.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Esper helps our company lock tablets so that only our software can be used.

  ### 23. Easy set up, minimal time investment, simple-to-use security - should have joined years ago

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa H. | ME Prep Tech, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

The interface is clean and organized; navigation and customization are intuitive. Documentation is comprehensive, concise, and easy to understand, and the support team has been nothing but helpful. We love the generous 100-device limit on the free tier and the low learning curve as I introduce more departments to the software. It makes mobile device management easy for even non-technical people like our HR lead.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

That I didn't know about it sooner! If there is a downside, we haven't found it yet.

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

At least try it. The learning curve is almost nonexistent, and the free tier allows plenty of space to play with possibilities. I went from initial download to provisioning my first device in under 15 minutes - far better than trying to wrap my brain around custom server implementation or submitting a request form for a trial license.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are transitioning from a paper-based shop routing system to a 100% digital system, which means we've rolled out about 40 new mobile scanners and other devices that present security risks if lost or stolen. As a small business, we can't afford to drop thousands on programs we *might* use in the future. Being able to lock down the scanners and track them from a central dashboard location means I can set it and forget it instead of spending 30 minutes per device playing whack-a-mole with whatever apps Android is installing this week.

  ### 24. Exactly what we needed for our business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig B. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Locks devices and allows remote viewing.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

It was complicated initially, but the support phone call and Esper staff sorted my queries quickly. I am not a techy, and most people won't have this problem

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Esper allows me to lock devices (tablets) to our visitor management system so that the users cannot access or change anything else on the device.

  ### 25. The platform is very helpful for us and functionalities are like expected

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mining & Metals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Esper?**

The kiosk mode is the most helpful for us

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

On the firsts days of use, we experienced some issues accessing the platform

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Esper helps us make our users only access the app they have to use

  ### 26. World class product with fantastic support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Of all the MDM DevOps solutions tested, Esper was the most feature-rich and was able to fit the needs of our growing startup the best. Flexible pricing with kind salespeople and support staff.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

If you look at their release notes, you'll know that Esper is improving every week. They don't have a solution to every single one of our deployment problems yet, but they are very open to feature requests according to our real-time business needs.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We recently switched from iOS to Android deployment and were looking for a replacement for Jamf -- everything from the ability to update devices remotely to collect logs. Their tools and APIs are extremely robust, it is particularly great to have remote control access to bug test under remote circumstances.

  ### 27. Excellent product if you are just prepared to overcome the initial learning curve.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Cenralised control of our tablets and a standard emplate.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Initial learning curve and perhaps it can be configuraed in so many different ways.

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

It is very likely this product will meet all your needs. You need to understand a few this that are not immediately obvious, namely 1. Your browser is where you configfure everything in Esper - I had initially thought it was the device provisioner. 2. If I had to advise someone using the product it would be to use the Android for Work option first - it is likely this is the only option you will need and works seemlesly.

As for support - it is the best level of support I have received from any IT product (and that's over 25 years) - perhaps I got lucky but I cannot speak highly enough of the resposes I received from esper directly. This was not a support request from but direct contact from esper after I had failed a couple of times to progress with the device provisioner.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User access to 'dangerous' sites' and non work related apps + changes to a 'standard' configuration.

In terms of benefits - much more time has been saved in not problem solving individual tablet issues and occasionally fixing minor issues remotely.
Additionally I con now confidently configure a tablet knowing it will have a standard configuration.

  ### 28. Simple, easy to deploy and great support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Ease of use and multiple provisioning methods.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Sometimes, remote commands don't execute on provisioned devices.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workers previously used work devices for non-work activities. Since we started using Esper, productivity has increased due to a specially crafted provisioning template, where games and entertainment apps are blocked.

  ### 29. Keep track of your devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent D. | Driftsansvarig & IT Administratör, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

The customer support is outstanding, never seen so much willingness to help someone succeed with what they are doing. I had a rough time setting up an Android box since it was cheaper model, but very powerful. We were on Teams and they even called in a programmer to help us out, and he solved in a second since he - well - litteraly is building this software everyday. That video call made me feel very so much more then just great towards Esper.io as a company, I felt that even if this is way more for my needs - they will help me out.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

It can be a little messy when you login at first, and it takes a while to get a hang on what everything does and how it works. But when you're starting to get hang on, you also start to understand how powerful this tool really is! Other then that, I can't really find anything, it's a steep learning curve, that's all I guess :)

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of my devices that I install at my customers premises. I can manage them without vising them! We can also cut down the configuration times we need for our android boxes. We can install and uninstall apps remotly, and we can even sign onto new WiFis if needed! There are also settings for restricting inputs of the boxes, so the customers can't tamper with them.

  ### 30. .

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Very easy to use and configuration of policies etc. is straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Customer service isn't great and they blackmail for reviews

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

don't bother if you need support

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The fast rollout of Andriod device management for a small fleet.

  ### 31. Great MDM, Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan W. | Junior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Pricing
The best thing is, that Esper is free for up to 100 devices.

Deployment of new versions
We use Esper to provide new Version of our own android apps to android tablets. Before using esper we had to upload the apk to every single device by our self. With Esper we assign the new Version to the existing group and the app is getting delivered to the tablets within 5 minutes.

Setup of new devices
With Esper you can create a template for provisioning new devices. The template contains the apps you want to install on the devices during provisioning. While provision the user scans the generated QR Code and everything sets it up by itself. You can also provide a wifi SSID and password.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

At the moment we have no problems with using Esper as our go to MDM Software.

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

Just try it out yourself. It is very easy to use and free for up to 100 devices.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deploy new app versions to people from remote
It was very difficult to provide a new version to people that are remote. For example if the external sales department had a bug in there app, we had to do the update, when they are at the company. With Esper we can simplay upload the new App to the web console and the update is enrolled to all devices. It's also in queue for offline devices.

  ### 32. Intuitive Platform For Student Monitorization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vihanga D. | IT Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Esper has a simple integration where it enables us to monitor their students safely via electronic devices. Enabling us to monitor multiple students concurrently.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Unavailability of Daily Reports, including screen time, most used application, etc...
Kindly consider this in future developments of the app

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring 100 student devices at once

  ### 33. Easy to setup and use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather G. | Assistant Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Makes it easy to keep track of our devices

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Some of the setup was confusing at first

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a way to keep track of our device inventory now and make sure devices are supposed to be. I like being able to keep track of installed apps and being able to prevent unwanted apps from being installed.

  ### 34. feedback after a period of use Esper

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Esper is very useful for managing remote devices.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

However, UX is still difficult to use for beginners. Sometimes, the remote control is still difficult, or the error is out of the device being controlled. Upgrade application often fails even though the remote viewer can still be accessed

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- I use Esper to Manage Devices and Update Applications Remotely
- Esper is very convenient for device management

  ### 35. i really like it

**Reviewed by:** John W. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

The ability to lock down an android device. So far, our devices seem very secure, only running the apps we allow.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

I have found no dislikes so far while using the software.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are just starting to use mobile devices within our manufacturing arena. We were worried that we wouldn't be able to secure the devices to only run certain applications the way we wanted to. Esper has exceeded our expectations.

  ### 37. Foodoutlet merchant tablet monitoring

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kako K. | Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Some of the best features Esper MDM has:

-Custom Web App
This feature is unique. When OS is loaded it opens a website in a full-screen encapsulated web view, where none of browser interface elements are visible. We were unable to find such a feature on any other MDMs on the market.

-Seamless device provisioning
ESPER provides multiple ways of device provisioning. First, you create a provisioning template and then QR code is generated. You switch on the factory reset tablet, scan the code and the device starts to get configured seamlessly. Internet connection is required.

-Mobile device screen preview
It is very important when a support engineer has the capability to view the device screen. It prevents common misinterpretations from the side of non-professional users. Especially, if the device has many features disabled it is also hard for the user to perform certain actions. Our case was exactly such.

-Enable/Disable apps/OS components
This is a very useful feature, that adds the capabilities to install, uninstall, enable, disable and even give/revoke access for each app installed on the device to particular OS interfaces, like Camera, Microphone, Location.

-User and device bulk management

-Comfortable notification trigger setup interface

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Sometimes, when entered inside device configuration, device location and Apps was lagging.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Foodoutlet is the marketplace app which connects food suppliers and consumers. In order to have a control over order workflow Foodoutlet developed a merchant app, installed on the tablets and gave the tablets to the merchants. In order to make successful technical support Foodoutlet used ESPER MDM as the tool to manage merchant tablets.

  ### 38. Great MDM Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bert P. | I, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Easily able to manage all of our tablets and mobile devices around the state from anywhere and at any time. The Esper command console is easy to use and its also very easy to set devices up with Esper. We use the Kiosk mode on some of the devices that run Esper and it is very easy for our employees to use and navigate and its even easier for me to change what i want the employees to see while in kiosk mode. Being able to troubleshoot from afar and remote view has come in handy along with being able to push remote updates for applications on the devices.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

The only thing that i dislike is that Esper does not work with Apple products, hopefully some day they will so we can have all of our devices on one platform. I really enjoy using esper and the low cost but having to run to different MDM products can be a hassle.

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

Great product and good price point

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote management, device troubleshooting. The benefits are that I don't have to travel to see what's going on with a device or talk to someone over the phone to walk them through troubleshooting.

  ### 39. Good potential shot support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Easy to control and manage al the device of your fleet.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Some functionalities do not work as expected and there is no documentation concerning their debugging. Example: remote control and control panel from kiosk mode.

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

It is a great system to manage a set of devices in kiosk mode.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Esper to put in kiosk a set of devices for a project. The users will not have to use them as smartphones and tablets, they just need to use one app (like it happens on those devices that are used to place orders in restaurants).

  ### 40. easy to use and very good documentation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Esper?**

I like most the functionality and documentation. it is very easy to use. With a few stuff you need to get the terms right. After all I was just searching for a App that makes a bulletproof kiosk mode. I only found it in a free version in Esper.
The documentation is very good. You can nearly find everything in there. It is written in a user friendly way, so that a lot of questions can be googled.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

A few terms are not intuitiv for beginners. But after a short time, you know yourself around.
My browser autofill does not detect the server during login as username.
I didn't find the opportunity to update a template, until I found out about the functionality and purpose of Compliance policies. This is one of the cases, where I first had to learn what compliance policies are. After I found out, it is a powerful tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

It's free. Try it out yourself. No loose.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have the option to scale a certain programmed template to any number of further tablets. The best thing is, that Esper is the only free app I found, where you have a bulletproof kiosk mode. In many other free versions, the user can still access the notification bar and change the wifi setting for example.

  ### 41. Easy and Effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gbenga A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Esper?**

I saw Esper when I was searching for an affordable MDM to use in deploying and managing my departmental Android Tablets.
Esper is one of the easiest MDM I tried and I am very shocked at its effectiveness.
I have less than 100 devices and hence I could use Esper's free license. Who could have thought an MDM so powerful and effective could also be free.
Thank you Esper for your generosity.
I will gladly recommend Esper to any business.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Remote Desktop is not currently compatible with Android Tablet.
Also, I could not use Teamviewer because it could not get the right permission and I wish Esper can look into this

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

It is very competitive and has excellent support.
I will gladly recommend Esper to anyone looking for a good and effective MDM

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provisioning and managing Android Tablets
The benefit is that it saves me a lot of time.
I am also able to remotely locate the devices

  ### 42. Great for our small Business

**What do you like best about Esper?**

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

We would like to be able to set up remote login passwords for the entire device.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Security and customer data. With the ability to see usage and control apps, we can now make sure all of our data can be recovered and is safe.

  ### 43. Best free MDM. Better than pricy solutions !

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clément B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Esper?**

Esper is free to 100 devices so it helps a lot to show how we can gain a lot of time using a MDM without any costs at the beginning.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

Esper is only available for professionnals. You will need a professional email to register.
I would like to use it for my family but I can't.

**Recommendations to others considering Esper:**

If you didn't choose an MDM solution yet please be sure to take a look on Esper !
It's free with no locked options so you can see if this solution is able to meet your requests.
A lot of paid MDM are waste of time. So don't waste your time.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The UI of Esper is Google friendly and very easy to use.
All the functions are well placed in menus and tabs.
We were able to prepare some tablets quickly for a security training using kiosk mode.

**What do you like best about Esper?**

The best thing is its Dashboard which is illustrative in its way. It is power-packed and valuable at one go.

  ### 47. Solid product, incredible support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin D. | Product Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Esper?**

This is my first time using an MDM solution and it's been incredibly helpful having a really responsive support contact who has helped me through a number of issues.

**What do you dislike about Esper?**

This is an early stage product and changing rapidly, but there are a few UX quirks eg. not persisisting the properties of devices you want to see in a list view. We also use iOS devices and need a separate solution for them - would be great to get iOS support one day.

**What problems is Esper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company is deploying a bunch of tablets into a hospital emergency dept. We can push updates to our app from home, monitor the battery levels and get alerted when devices are going offline so we can get hospital staff to plug them back in.
