Empeon portal is a very user friendly payroll platform. One of the features I appreciate most is its reporting capability, I can easily generate any payroll related reports without difficulty. As a payroll specialist, I find the system efficient for processing our company's weekly payroll. Additionally, their representatives are easy to communicate with and readilly available whenever I need assistance or have questions. Empeon offers strong integration capabilities that streamline our overall workflow. Integration process is straightforward and data syncs reliably across platforms. In terms of performance, overall is great and excelent. Lastly in terms of pricing, I really tell that it's all worth it since it's very helpful on our daily operation. the main limitation I've encountered with empeon is its restriction on employee department and role setup. We have some employees who perform two different roles within the company, each with the a different pay rate. However, because the system allows only one profile per employee based on their SSN, we're unable to separate these roles effectively. If there were an option to create multiple profiles or better support multiple roles under a single employee, it would make it much easier to track and report compensation by role. I really like that Empeon is extremely easy to work with. The Time and Attendance feature is part of an all-in-one system where Holiday and PTO are integrated into the payroll processing, making it very efficient. It's also extremely user-friendly and easy to navigate, even for beginners. The switch from the basic desktop platform to Empeon was driven by the more digital and online controlled options it offered, plus not having to import time cards for payroll was a big plus. I like that the platform is very easy to use and appreciate that the team is very active and always trying to take the platform to the next level by adding robust features that help streamline payroll and HR related matters. Customer service used to be more personal, now it can sometimes be frustrating when I need help on complicated things and the customer service reps aren't always able to help. I use Empeon for Payroll and HR and love how customizable it is. There are a lot of ways to tailor reports and profiles to fit our company's needs. I also appreciate the great personal customer support; whenever issues come up, they help figure out solutions and make the experience as smooth as possible. It's user-friendly and easy to set up, which makes everything simple to follow. The ability to add categories on our own without needing back-office intervention is a big plus. Some reporting is too detailed. We like to have yearly summaries, and it's hard to get that without all the millions of details. We would like to see a yearly summary of wages and hours paid for employees but not each pay code and paycheck, just summaries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find Empeon's support really helpful. They are patient, help me go through steps when needed, and they follow-up which is great. Shane from the GNL support is particularly noteworthy for his good attitude and helpfulness. There are some limitations with the software. The onboarding process isn't transparent when someone is currently being onboarded, which leads to issues because we can't see what was submitted and what wasn't.
