**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

I love the flexibility of the software and the outstanding responsiveness of the support team. The reporting capabilities are strong, which is a huge plus for us.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

For a multi-campus church, the contribution portion could be improved to allow for campus identification to be included in contribution reports.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Churchteams improves communication, tracks attendance and contributions, and enhances child safety with check-in features.

  ### 2. Church Teams is easy and fun to use!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** FBC L. | Ministerial and Financial Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Church Teams is a user-friendly software that is easy to use even for those, like me, who are technology-challenged. We use it for our membership database. We use texting, emails, giving, reports, and many more functions.
The website has a HELP option that is very handy. This software is exciting and fun to use.

What I like best is the excellent support I get from the help desk. My emailed questions are answered in a very timely manner. Even when I need additional help, those who answer my calls are patient and kind and walk me through my difficulties.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Nothing! Again, this is the easiest software I have used in my entire life!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Church Teams helps me solve the variety of requests from our membership group. It is a quick and easy application to use when tracking attendance, giving, campaigns, designated donations, etc.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thank you for your thoughtful review of Churchteams! It looks like you are enjoying using several of the features in our church management software, and we are glad to hear you love them all! Our Support Desk strives to give tailor-made help to each person we work with, and it looks like you've gotten that level of care we work so hard to give. Thanks again for taking the time to leave your feedback.

  ### 3. Great Service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parker R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

I love how helpful Chruch teams was with catering to my needs! They have worked great with me to make this account exactly what my ministry needs

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

There is a leaning curve to using the program but even then they provide so many tutorials that it makes it easy !

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Signing up for events is so much better

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thanks for taking the time to leave this feedback for us, Parker. We are glad to hear that the setup is working so well for you. Keep in mind that we offer one-on-one onboarding via Zoom if you prefer that over the video tutorials.

  ### 4. Comprehensive database with system with excellent customer service.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacey W. | Ministry Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

We chose ChurchTeams due to their reputation for Customer Support. They have a feedback-rich environment and are regularly making improvements to the database based on customer experience. CT is Christ-focused and people-focused. They view data as a tool for growing God's kingdom. They are continually seeking to improve the system to meet church needs and are very responsive to the client experience. I also like that I can access CT from anywhere, even my phone.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Because CT is constantly improving, there are regular updates. For someone like me, who doesn't like change, I have to challenge myself to learn the new features. Ultimately these changes make processes more efficient.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A few personal examples: I was having trouble finding church members who go by nicknames. (PJ = Philip) After providing feedback, CT added a "legal first name" field and coded the search tool to check both the "first name field" and the "legal first name" field. This improvement made my work a lot easier. The mass update feature has helped make data changes more efficient. CT has also provided best practices to us so we could establish church-wide protocols on how we handle data. For example, what do you do in the database when someone passes away? Not long after our inquiry, CT made coding changes that would trigger data changes (if desired) to make this data process happen automatically.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your review of Churchteams, Stacey. The details help us to know where we have helped you best! I understand how you feel about struggling with change, however, we are glad to see that you value the progress that the software enhancements provide. Continue to let us hear form you - we always enjoy working with you to find new and better strategies.

  ### 5. Basic enough yet completely customizable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bethany M. | Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The most helpful tool about Churchteams is their customizable attributes. This program can serve the capacity of a large or a very small church because they let each customer change and add what they need to make it work perfectly. I also love their customer service, I've never had a business be so relational and kind- that's priceless!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

This is hard to answer because there is nothing that's been horrible or that I dislike. Whenever I have a suggestion the leaders/creators either solve it for me by showing me what to do, or they take it into account and add it to their list of things to update in the future. So cool.

This is minimal, but it would be so cool for Churchteams to be connected to CCLI in the future so that all communication with worship teams can also include the songs/song sheets. But there are other programs out there that do this!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We recently created a discipleship program and Churchteams helped me design an accountability system for our disciples within the group structures. It has benefited our church greatly to have support and accountability for those discipling so that they do not feel alone. Churchteams is helping us be pastoral AND structured!

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> It's great to hear that the customization of Churchteams is really working so well for you - from member attributes to tracking discipleship progress. We appreciate you taking the time to leave such great, detailed feedback for us, Bethany. We enjoy working with you!

  ### 6. Well Priced and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlene M. | Assistant Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Churchteams was very easy for us to learn and get started with. The team is excellent. They were very helpful in getting us set up. If we ever have questions, they are there to answer and/or walk us through. I love that they have a built-in means of communication, email and text messaging; we no longer need to use another program for emails or texting. We can set up our own keywords to use TextToChurch.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I wouldn't say I "dislike" the workflows, but they are not quite as intuitive to use. There are some ways I would like to use the option. However, I have not yet figured out how to make it work. Admittedly, I have not reached out for help yet, so there may be a way to make it happen.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Churchteams provides us a means to easily communicate with our small congregation, set up Events, track attendance, and handle online giving. We can run any of the built-in reports as well as create our own reports that are special to our needs. Also, it allows us to customize information for our members.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Sandy, thanks for taking the time to leave us details on what you love most about Churchteams. We are glad to hear that the setup was easy for your church and that communication with your members has been simplified! We would love to set up a call with you to get you going on workflow automation - we think you will love the ease of several things there, from scheduled reports you won't have to pull yourself to automated communication for birthdays and even first-time guests! Contact our Support team if you are interested in learning and we'll get you going right away!

  ### 7. Automated Long Processes For Us!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebekah L. | Campus Pastor, On Campus Ministry and Local Engagement Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

We've used CT at APU for years now. And there are many reasons why! I am so grateful to CT for their 1-1 customer service, personal approach, patience, and flexibility AND creativity with us as we have sought to utilize this platform for our mentoring program. They worked with us to make it happen when it hadn't been done before. We really appreciate their kindness and perspective on ministry. APU LOVES CHURCH TEAMS!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

It's not always easy to get a rep on the phone these days. Ya'll must be poppin! However, the detailed emails have been life-savers. Also, the time difference in calling hours is PST... not bad... just something to consider. AKA--Why not have an LA chapter?! LOL.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can't think of any problems that CT is solving currently. In the past, they helped us figure out how to have a profile page for mentors, which was a new idea.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thanks for letting us know how we are doing Rebekah. I love seeing how your University uses Churchteams Groups and Registrations for their mentoring program. Glad to hear that the emails are working out for you, but we love talking with you too so we hope to get you on the phone should you need us in the near future - although I'm not opposed to representing that East Coast office!

  ### 8. Great tool and supportive team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patricia P. | Director of Ministries, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

I love that we have all our info in one place and can easily see what groups, ministries, etc. people are involved in. The notes are great for being able to update when we follow-up with someone. We use it to track attendance and membership for our small groups and I use it to reach out to my various groups. We also use it for financials however I'm not involved in that aspect.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I still have trouble getting some of our folks to update their info even though churchteams is so easy!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Besides small group and ministry tracking, assimilation. We use the workflow to track visitors and route their info to the appropriate leader depending upon what box they checked.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> We love hearing that having your data in one place has made your ministry processes easier. The notes are also one of my favorite features and so useful for tracking information and alerting staff. It's great to hear you are enjoying workflows as well. Thank you for taking the time to leave us this great review of Churchteams Patricia!

  ### 9. Very happy!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melonie C. | Executive Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The ease of finding information and creating member records as well as registrations. The text to features are life-changing. Despite not having an app, the mobile web browser version is user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Not being able to delete multiple texts from my "inbox" despite the responses not being for me. For example, our lead pastor send out a "Happy Thanksgiving," and 88 people responded. I had to manually go into each and every text and clear them.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have gotten more people to register for events, fill out connection cards, and even send prayer requests by going digital. Everything being based on groups helps to minimize the need for lists and groups and registrations. We can do all 3 in one

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for doing this review!

  ### 10. Powerful platform for any size church

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff R. | Executive Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The thing I like the most about church teams is that it is web-based making it accessible from anywhere, it is easy to use, and there is quick access to help if you need it.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Would love some sort of app. Using it on a mobile browser is a bit clunky, but doable.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

If you are looking for an intuitive web-based church management system look no further. We've been using Church Teams for 10 years and would never consider anything else.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ChurchTeams puts almost all our data in one place- member database, online giving, sign-ups for events, groups, and classes. It makes it easy to run reports and figure out where our folks are finding community.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thanks for taking the time to leave us this detailed review Jeff. We find that so many of our users, like you, really appreciate having their data in one place. This saves both money and time, not having to sync data between multiple applications. We would like to hear more about your experience with the mobile version of Churchteams so that we might work to improve that. Give our Support team a call so that we can help!

  ### 11. Church Plant Looking for Organization!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsea P. | Physical Therapist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

How user friendly the system is, and the communication features! Being able to mass text and email easily is very important for a mobile church with ever changing locations and needs!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I wish the scheduling piece was not quite so linked to groups- ie you could add anyone in the system to the schedule without having to place them in a specific group first

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They continuously update their texting features which has been very helpful to our church! Keeping everyone connected is an important part to growing a new church so we appreciate that! The tier pricing is also nice so that churches trying to grow can save some $

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thank you Chelsea! It was great to read your feedback and see that communication with Churchteams has been a useful tool for your Church! It's good to also see that you are using the volunteer scheduling feature. We offer a way to add people right from the Volunteer Scheduling page. If you'd like some assistance with that, or learning any other shortcuts with Volunteer Scheduling, such as copying schedules to multiple dates, contact our Support teams - we are happy to help! Thanks again for letting us hear from you.

  ### 12. Churchteams has been useful for our church!

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avery L. | IT Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The support team is always very responsive and willing to help with any issues. Most of the time the issues have to do with a learning curve more than any bugs or other issues.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I would love if Churchteams had a better checkout option for their kids checkin system. Also, the learning curve is a little steep with the software but once you have a basic understanding of what it can do it's really useful. :)

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Churchteams is benefitting us here in many ways. The biggest one is the online giving/payment aspect which is a tremendous advantage to us as an organization of 800 regular attendees we were still using cash/check/paypal.

  ### 13. Functional and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff M. | Co-Director/Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

As a user of Churchteams, I like the software's simplicity and efficiency. Our church, small group, and worship team have greatly benefited from the organization of the volunteer system. The customer service is fantastic and personable.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I have not found anything in Churchteams that doesn't work for our church.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The organization of volunteers, even for the smallest church like us, is always challenging! However, Churchteams has proven beneficial to streamline our childcare workers and our worship team members. It provides users and members to have proper communication and confidently know when they are supposed to volunteer.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thank you for your review of Churchteams. We love hearing how you are benefitting from the Volunteer and Communications features of our church management software!

  ### 14. Churchteams has been a blessing to VCB

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arlona S. | Media Arts and Technology Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Churchteams has been so easy to use. The initial upload of information was all handled for us and easy, the transition was seamless, and the experience has been user-friendly to our pastors and congregation! We combined a few databases into one, which our administrative staff loves. We also have found their system of following up with people to be easy to prevent people from slipping through the cracks. When we have had any questions or aren't sure how to do something their team has responded right away about

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

In Churchteams everything is a group. Small groups, skills, interests, special events, email lists with restricted members, etc. All of them are groups. It would be nice to have another way to categorize people, such as a tag or an email list that people couldn't join themselves for our prayer team or something similar. This is both the greatest strength and the biggest weakness of Churcteams. It has taken a lot of adjustment time for my staff to understand that EVERYTHING is a group.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have to use multiple databases. One for event registration, one for sending group emails, one for a directory, and one for our main database with giving details and notes. Churchteams has combined all of that into one database, and it is much easier for our staff than any other databases we were using.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, Arlona. It's great to hear that Churchteams has allowed your staff to consolidate your data into one software where you can handle most of your regular tasks. We also appreciate the feedback regarding groups. We have recently added Tags to a few of our features and we look forward to expanding that further.

  ### 15. I heartily recommend ChurchTeams to any size church. They have Apple type Customer Service.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric D. | L, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Hard to pinpoint one thing. Customer Service is AMAZING. I love the texting to register, from church for mass messages and group messages. The volunteer scheduling is fantastic. Yeah hard to pick just one.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The interface could be bit more modernized and a mobile app for Android and iPhone would be a huge boon.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

You cannot beat the price for the included features. The text to and from church is fantastic, the ability to automate communication with guests and others using workflows is fantastic and finally scheduling volunteers with automatic reminders is a game changer.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The greatest benefit is the ability to automate communication with workflows. This means that you may register someone for a group that you have created (such as first-time guests) and the program will follow a workflow that you create. Text 2 days from a new record. Email 4 days, etc. enter into follow up group...

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for the nice review. We're with you on the interface upgrade. That's next!!

  ### 16. The Churchteams platform makes communication with our congregation so much easier.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryant O. | Senior Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The 'upsides' of using the Churchteams platform is that it is accessible. The UI is easy to navigate. The email templates are awesome. The text-to-church feature allows for speedy and direct communication.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The only downside to the ChurchTeams platform is that it is not readily mobile accessible. A ChurchTeams App would be very friendly and add to our workflow potential.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The single biggest business solution through the ChurchTeams platform is the ability to organize congregant information. ChurchTeams allows for an on-demand directory of members, guests, prospective members, families, singles, etc.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> We love to hear that the templates and text-to-church features are working well in your ministry, Bryant! Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review of Churchteams. Although we don't have an app that you download through the app store, have you had a chance to save the site to your phone's home screen so that you are able to access Churchteams more easily? This is one way you can access Churchteams while on your phone.

  ### 17. Functionality because of flexability

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan P. | Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The ability to communicate with appropriate groups of people based on filters using multiple methods.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The only downside I have experienced is that the flexibility in establishing member parameters and settings can get confusing at times. The various support aspects are a great help but ultimately you have to dive in and make some mistakes.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have provided check in tools that are extremely helpful but we still struggle with getting people to use them.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Hey Dan, thanks for the great feedback. It's good to hear you enjoy the flexibility of our powerful filters used throughout the software! We would love to discuss your membership settings. The great thing about Churchteams is the ability to customize. Sometimes, a little trial and error gets you where you want to be, but our Support Team is always happy to help you through that!

  ### 18. Simply the best church management platform.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris A. | Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Simplicity. We are a small church and we often have people cycle through who need access to some part of the church management software. I have never had to train anyone, it is that simple and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The simple looking GUI isn't going to impress anyone. But it works and I love it!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Management of church giving reports. Everything is just so easy.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thanks Chris, for taking the time to leave this review of Churchteams! It's great to hear that your ministry leaders and volunteers are able to jump in and easily use the software without you having to do any training - that is a great time-saver for you! Keep in mind that we are always happy to show anyone around the software and answer any questions should anyone need a little boost. Our Support team is always here to help!

  ### 19. They keep improving it

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** J Patrick M. | Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

This is a very useful online database for our church.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I think the functionality is beyond what our church leadership really wants to use.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Churchteams helps us keep track of everyone in the community, including their contributions; this works much better than written cards that have to be added up at the end of the year.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thanks for taking the time to leave us your review of Churchteams. It is great to hear that the Contributions feature has been helpful to your ministry!

  ### 20. Churchteams is the best ChMS on the market.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reid H. | Executive Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Churchteams is easy to use and they have the best customer service.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I don't have any major complaints about Churchteams. It is a great system.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

If you are looking for a great Church Management System, look no further. I am confident you will be pleased with Churchteams.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Churchteams has helped us manage our church membership perfectly. It is the right solution for our church.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, Reid.

  ### 21. The perfect ChMS is being used by the perfect church. For everyone else there's ChurchTeams.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Churchteam's revolutionary Text-to-Church feature has been a total game changer. It's fast, it's easy, and it's on demand - no websites to navigate, no emails to find, no texts to scroll. It has drastically reduced check-in times and greatly simplified group registrations. Best of all it's backed by industry-leading customer support. If your ministry is not utilizing this new, powerful tool, you are missing out.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

There isn't anything I dislike at this time regarding ChurchTeams. In fact, I have been vocal since 2015 about the fact that Churchteams customer service is world-class, certainly the very best in the ChMS industry. They listen to their customers!

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Don't wait. Plan and make the switch. In fact, CT makes the switch easy and pleasant. I was very concerned about moving years of data from ACS, but CT made it simple and handled the entire process. Thank you!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ChMS, life group reporting, registration for ministries, children check-in, children security, contributions reporting, fundraising, church-wide and group communication and many more.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thanks Nick. It is a privilege to serve you guys.

  ### 22. Churchteams is the best for our church!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Palmyra Grace S. | Secretary, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Their support team is excellent! It is wonderful to be able to do everything in one place and have all our leaders and staff be able to access that data when they need it. It has streamlined our communications with email & text, sign-ups and keeps contact info for our members up to date. Child Check-in labels has been a huge help for our Children's ministry, during our services and special events.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I wish our worship team would use churchteams but they don't because there isnt music attached and they can't do the order of the service. Other than that it does everything we need.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

If you want a wonderful database and communication sytem for your church then I highly recommend churchteams.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have streamlined communication with email, text, sign ups and workflows. Check-in with labels has been amazing. I like how many ways to sign up with links and text words to use. When someone asks if we can do a certain thing, churchteams has never failed and has the ability to do it.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you so much for this great review!

  ### 23. We finally found a tool that checks all our boxes and has not been difficult to implement.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The support folks are the best. They are knowledgeable and responsive to our needs. We don't have to wait long for help. We evaluated several others, and this one far exceeds the others in functionality from both the membership and financial sides. The ability for group leaders to easily access the database and keep track is a plus. The robust email capability is the best on the market.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

That you cannot customize the user access levels a bit more. I'd like to see a more robust volunteer sign-up application. Misspellings are not always getting flagged.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consolidation of membership data. Consolidation of financial data. Consolidation of event registrations. Visitor tracking and follow-up. Integrated robust email capability. It all feeds our current ministry emphasis on Strengthening Holistic Stewardship.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thanks for leaving your review. It's great to hear that Churchteams is empowering the leaders in your church and best of all, all your data is kept consolidated into one system that is easily accessible to those who need it. We appreciate the feedback about further customizing user access. Feel free to touch base with our Support team on your specific needs so that we can pass that on to Development as a consideration.

The text-to-church feature and the customer service. They are very helpful and accommodating to our needs.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

It is not bad but the interface could be more user-friendly.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is enabling us to connect with the public through text and QR codes. Is a great forward facing tool.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thanks for leaving us a review Terance. We are glad to hear that Text-to-Church has been a useful tool for your ministry. We also wanted to thank you for the UI feedback, as we plan to make this a bit more user-friendly soon.

It allows us quick and easy response from the congregation

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

It can be confusing telling the congregation how to make changes to their information.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to encourage participation in church sponsored events.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> We love to hear that your congregation is using the communication tool and registration features of Churchteams to get involved! For help with getting members to update their information, all they need to do is text ME to your Text-to-Church number, click the name of the family they want to update and save any changes. We recommend that you post this info and the ME keyword so they can easily see it regularly, such as on your website, worship screen, and bulletin. Let our Support team know how we can help!

  ### 26. Technology, data and administration is ministry! And Churchteams makes everything possible!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Churchteams is so intuitive. It's intelligent, fun, and effective for your church's ministry. The staff at Churchteams genuinely cares about each person and client.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Churchteams has made needed improvements to the Service Volunteers part of their software, and they continue to improve that section. I think it will be better in the near future.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team has taken many ideas/questions/problems to the staff at Churchteams, and they have listened and made changes for the better every time. Each update has made daily usage easier.

**Official Response from Jennifer Coates:**

> Thank you for taking the time to leave your review! We are glad to hear that our updates have been helpful to your staff. We have made recent changes to our Volunteer Scheduling feature, even in just this last month in an effort to provide better communication with your volunteers and leaders. Financial reporting is very useful. Event registration has also been great.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

It takes time to learn your way around the program.

  ### 28. Great software for our church

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

ChurchTeams is user friendly and assists our pastors and ministry leaders in connecting with people in the congregation

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

In their effort to diminish administrative work...the software causes the administrator to do more merging of records. However...the payoff is worth this extra work.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Church Teams is very user friendly and is a great support for our Pastors. They can easily access Church Teams on their phone for a quick look up of a congregants info or get a 360 degree view of the whole family. The reports are robust with the capability to pull out all kinds of info. Support is top notch and available to assist with any question.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of access for our congregation with registrations, small group connections, and giving.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for doing this review!

  ### 29. Great for church communication!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liza B. | Service Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Churchteams is a quick an easy way to reach a variety of groups in our congregation.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Churchteams works well once you know how to use it. It could be a little more user-friendly.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Churchteams gave us the perfect opportunities for our congregation to register during covid. We continue to use the text to register function when we have events we need to track registration for.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thanks Liz. We have worked to become the leading provider of fully integrated (non-3rd party) communication tools. Text-to-Church in particular has become the leading edge in this area for all of us. And ... UI is next up on our road map!!

  ### 30. Best software and customer service experience!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

User-friendly, excellent customer service, offers a variety of services

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

No real dislikes at this time as they are constantly making improvements based on user feedback. We would like to see flexible controls on the security settings to control which users could make specific changes to info.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Feel free to ask questions, Churchteams staff is happy to answer all your questions and wants to help you make the best decision for your church.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ability to accept payments and donations easier and with less administrative cost, ability for church members to update their own contact info, easy texting options.

  ### 31. Excellent Church Management Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary S. | Associate Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The software has grown in capability over the years. What first caught my attention was the ease for small group leaders to report their meeting attendance. This gave us much better insight into what was happening in our small groups.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The software does so much more and therefore has become a little more complicated to use. All the information is there but it may take a little time to sort through the menu's to find what you are looking for. This is not so much a problem as a reality that comes with a full church management software package.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Churchteams to track small group and Sunday moring attendance, keep track of missing members, record and track financial giving, and so much more.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you, Gary.

  ### 32. My experiences with ChurchTeams has been only positive.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronda A. | Church Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

They are very helpful when emailed a question. I have never gone more than 24 hours without a response and many time get a response the same day.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Merging families throught the entire alphabet is difficult

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are currently creating an online Connection Card that will be most helpful with our database management. Reporting from Groups and Financial Reporting has been easy to explain to other staff.

  ### 33. A pleasant experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Text-to-church capability, customer service, involvement of co-founders

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Nothing! Boyd and Mark are so responsive and collaborative with their users and they are always surprising us with amazing updates.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Make sure to attend one of Boyd's live webinars during your decision process.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were a new startup church four years ago and Churchteams made it easy to get started with a great database from the beginning.

  ### 34. ChurchTeams makes our jobs easier!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The text-to-church functionality is incredible. We have used it for everything from giving to group sign-ups, and most recently even to send people to things like the bible app!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The most frequent thing we have heard is that the user interface for giving is not the best. More specifically, it is difficult for members to change their recurring gifts. Rather than just updating the amount or the frequency, you have to cancel one recurring donation altogether and start a brand new one with the new amount/frequency.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have utilized automation for first-time guest connections by setting reminders for leaders to follow up with guests. We have also developed an excellent prayer ministry by utilizing text-to-church, allowing our church members to send in their prayer requests directly to the prayer team at any time and from anywhere.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thanks for nice review and upgrade idea!

  ### 35. Good software. EXCELLENT service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam C. R. | Principal Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The customer service team is fantastic. They respond quickly, offer solutions, take suggestions are fun folks. Texting features (especially text-to-church) are fabulous. Excellent for managing groups. Pricing is very good, especially for a smaller church. Love having the complete interface on my phone without an external app to get in the way.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I'd like to see calendar integration and a more intuitive scheduling system, especially when it comes to templates and recurring events. It's been difficult for my leaders to implement.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team communication (worship, Christian Ed). CRM features for contacting and logging interactions with parishioners is a nice plus.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for doing this review!

  ### 36. Database, Check-in, Workflows - Tools Galore!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua M. | Discipleship Minister, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The flexible database allows you to create any type of sign-in, record any number of data entries, and search for any parameter you might think of. As a database, Churchteams is top-notch! The group database is great and has the flexibility to be used for any number of other tasks. ChurchTeams is a truly spectacular sandbox for community data entry.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

I want a more intuitive workflow system that would allow me to track the discipleship progress of our Church Members. Although these values can be recorded under personal profiles, it would be great to be able to put them at the top of the flow and have them move through it with a click of a button!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've used Churchteams to develop a small group coaching structure, track a variety of church metrics, and provide meaningful follow-up with first-time attenders. While it's not initially apparent, CT has so many tools that can be adapted for a variety of different tasks.

  ### 37. Best, most intuitive and cost efficient church database around

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marty M. | associate pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

This is a user-friendly, intuitive database. I learned how to get started on the basics with their sample database and teaching videos. We have had multiple users learn on their own how to create the different setups needed for check-in, sign-ups, finances, small groups, etc. We had two different systems prior to churchteams, including a high priced, well known, fancy system that even flew out a person to help train us but still made little sense due to the use of their own language that in no way connected with church ministry on the ground. Runner up reason is the customer service. They are always available and have even changed things in their programming at our request, which we never would have expected. It is unusual how good the customer care is.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

We have yet to discover a downside. The only thing I'd say is that we don't use it in the "teams" based way that they have created which opens the door for all church member access.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

If you are looking for a usable church database, this is the one!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Churchteams solved the problem of database systems that aren't user friendly. With past systems we could at best get one administrative person up to speed on how it works. This allows our administrator, any staff, and even needed volunteers who do a specific function to use the system. We use it for small groups, general church roster, ministry teams, individual and recurring events, childrens ministry check in, communication, and finances.

  ### 38. An awesome communication and church management tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keith I. | Lead pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Churchteams allows us to have access everywhere all the time. To track attendance, communicate to others and move people through the steps of discipleship.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The only thing that would make Churchteams better is if they also developed an app or a more text type way of responding to text messages.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Instead of trying to piece your church management software together from a number of different services and end up paying a lot more for things that don't work together - try out Churchteams.com for free! And I guarantee once you use it - you'll want to keep using it. It only gets better as the team there is constantly improving their software based on needs we have emailed requesting.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primarily it is our go to resource for communicating with people according to their individual desires. But their text to give functionality makes reviving and tracking donations easy.

  ### 39. All-Encompassing Program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Movement C. | Operations Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

What I like best about ChurchTeams is how helpful their customer service is. ChurchTeams is an all-encompassing program that has many facets. We can manage a wide range of data with this particular application (attendance, membership, tithing, pledges, groups, etc.) While it may be intimidating at first, Church Teams offers free educational resources so you can get the most out of your subscription.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

While ChurchTeams has been extremely helpful with their capabilities, they still some areas of improvement. For example, their ability to communicate between pledges and tithing needs significant improvement. We recently conducted a capital campaign, and every single commitment had to be manually entered by an administrator in our office. Ideally, Churchteams will continue to make updates, which they have proven they are committed to.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before ChurchTeams, we had no way of reporting data. By incorporating ChurchTeams into our day-to-day office functions, we can report tithing by individuals, by households, by month, by year - the possibilities are endless. We can now use this data to gather educated guesses regarding the future of our organization and our general budgets.

  ### 40. Love Churchteams!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Churchteams is the all in one product we need for our church! The staff appreciates the ability to create registrations, send emails, and set up volunteer groups all in one place. The Giving module is so easy to use with the ability to text a keyword or create a link for donations.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Pledges should be a module and an attribute. It's very clunky having to set up a registration then go into each member to enter manually. We are still getting comfortable with reports but my first suggestion would be for all reports to have the export to excel option.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staff can create their own emails and registrations once trained, freeing up the need for additional admin support.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for the nice review and suggestion. We upgraded the pledge registration feature shortly after you wrote this article. You were right! It is so much better now.

  ### 41. Awesome church management system!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben S. | Senior Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

I LOVE how Church Teams is seamless in managing the data that helps us serve the church. I can get the data I need on my computer, phone, or tablet!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The hardest part of Church Teams is getting it set up, but the best thing is they help you do it!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to QUICKLY identify people who are at risk of falling through the cracks or slipping out the back door. The software helps us identify and engage with them easily!

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you!!

  ### 42. Churchteams has helped us in so many ways

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony D. | Executive Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

They are very responsive to our needs. They have taken suggestions from us and turned them into reality on their service. Their support is excellent, and they continue to improve their product.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Sometimes the system is not user-friendly for specific tasks.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They handle the database for our church. All of our small groups are tracked and maintained in their system. We use them for child check-in, event and class registrations. We also use their giving solution for online, text, and in-person offerings.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you!

  ### 43. Churchteams Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Easy to add access to staff and lay leaders, the customer service is really good. If we've ever had a problem they always get back to us really fast and are able to help!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

It does glitch fairly often where it won't load pages or save the email drafts, or find people that I'm looking up. So I have to open a new tab and re-log in. It's a tad annoying!

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

I think it's a good option for churches to look into church databases.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are the benefits of having all of our church people in one place. There are lots of features like baptism dates, wedding dates and children's check-in is simple too.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thanks for recognizing our support team. We work hard to work hard for you. Did you see the email templates drop-down that saves draft emails for you? We added that for the exact problem you were seeing.

  ### 44. A Great Gift to the Church

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The power of churchteams. The great support too

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

Slight learning curve with the interface

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Love it for us as a smaller church

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping the church connected

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thanks for this nice review. We love churches of all sizes!

  ### 45. Great Features and Value!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clyde E. | D, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

Text features that utilize the software for groups. With that the ease of use to set up events/registration/payment

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The reports feature can be difficult to use, but their support has been great to help!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are helping our follow up of visitors and church members. Great check-in options for all the ministries! Savings on giving transactions, combined usage to eliminate the need of other software subscriptions.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for doing this review!

  ### 46. Churchteams Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

I have worked with Church teams for nearly 15 years. The system is easy to navigate, customize and over the years the creators and support team have added additional functionality.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

As our non-profit grow its donor base, there is some intuitiveness lacking that would support our fundraising process.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Churchteams has allowed us to collect donor information in one clean space, provide annual giving statements, and segment supports into groups. Over the past 15 years, Mark & Boyd have consistently prayed for our team, responded to needs of our agency and helped us to build a solid system to contact donors and increase giving.

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for doing this review!

  ### 47. Many flexible features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca H. | Treasurer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

If i had to pick just one, having the ability to upload giving from a CSV file is a huge timesaver for me. My check scanner software allows me to remember checks and assign a customer number. By using the CT member number, it is easy to download from scanner software and then upload in CT. And the Cost!

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

My area is finance, so in that area, I like the least is not being able to format giving statements.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

It is a very comprehensive software, so drill down to your area and make sure you understand how CT will work for you. With all new things, there might be change, but I have found the to be for the better in CT. Take the time to think through the setup so it will best work for you. The support team is excellent, and they will help you anytime!

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Registration for trips & programs allows the person in charge to be able actually to track the status of who has registered and paid. As the Treasurer, this has been a big time saver for me. It also allows for ease of reporting.

  ### 48. Best church software for the price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter C. | Associate Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The ease of use. It really is something I can hand to a volunteer and within 30 minutes they are completely self sufficient.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

The mass texting options are not as easy to group your entire church in for one text

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped us close the door. People come and without them feeling forced, they are moving deeper in our assimilation

**Official Response from Boyd Pelley:**

> Thank you for doing this review!

  ### 49. Churchteams: A great Asset to our Church

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenifer D. | Pastor for Administration, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

1. Deep insight into the operations of a church for the 21st Century
2. Deep insight into the spiritual call of a church for the 21st Century
3. Consistent, thoughtful, and proactive development
4. Unparalled service
5. Friends: brothers & sisters in Christ

b. Manage workflows
c. Maintain, update, and utilize member data
d. Mantain funds
e. Enhance giving options
f. Centralize data
g Build teams and mobilize human and material resources
h. Integrate

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

1. Not having the time to learn and use all the wonderful features
2. Not having the ability to allow users individual specific capabilities only. In other words, task capabilities rather than role capabilities (or maybe I need to learn this?)
3. Sometimes the speed (which may be my internet or computer)

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

Go Churchteams! You will not regret it.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Churchteams helps our church to effectively and efficiently:
1. Manage small groups
2. Manage workflows
3. Maintain, update, and utilize member data
4. Mantain funds

  ### 50. Church Teams is Extremely Flexible

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lane N. | Executive Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Churchteams?**

The best thing about Church Teams is the flexibility of the program and their ability to adapt to your needs.

**What do you dislike about Churchteams?**

There is very little to dislike. If we have any issues and are able to either call in or email a support person who is able to help us find a solution. Or, in some cases, they are able to make changes to the software that will create a solution.

**Recommendations to others considering Churchteams:**

There is a lot to offer. You will really need to study the system and figure out how to implement to your needs. There is usually several different ways to organize your data and how you implement the system.

**What problems is Churchteams solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to use the text feature for people to check-in to worship during the Pandemic was helpful as we attempted to stay connected during a difficult time. Also, the online features for people to give to the church allowed our church to stay financially healthy during this last year.
