Mote is a literacy platform for K-12 schools and districts, covering reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Writing: Text Prediction, Speech to Text, Mote Writing Review, and read-back of the student's own work 3. Creating: voice recording, audio generation, audio upload, and a personal content library Mote PDF. A web app that hosts PDFs and makes them fully workable with the Sidebar tools, and adds PDF mark-up: highlighting, annotation, and text boxes. Files open from the Sidebar or directly from Google Drive. Mote iOS. A native app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Web pages, documents, scanned pages, voice notes, and a student's own writing each become an item in a personal library that reads aloud, highlights word by word, and resumes where they left off. Mote Platform (administration). User provisioning by domain, CSV, or individual invite; Google and ClassLink SSO; ClassLink rostering and Google Classroom import; feature controls at account, class, and student level; Assessment Mode for restricting tools during testing; and usage reporting from student up to district. Mote meets FERPA, COPPA, and GDPR requirements, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension. Mote tools are commonly documented in IEP and 504 plans, and the same tools are available to every student as a Tier 1 universal support under MTSS and UDL.
