Haulan is a transportation management system (TMS) for freight brokerages. It covers the whole life of a load: vetting the carrier, onboarding them, booking, paperwork, and getting paid. Carrier vetting is the core of it. Type an MC or DOT number and Haulan pulls the carrier's record live from FMCSA and cross-checks SAFER: operating authority, broker authority, insurance on file with limits and cancellation dates, out-of-service status, safety rating, inspection and crash history. If the authority is revoked, inactive, or broker-only, Haulan will not tender the load. That is a hard stop, not a warning you click through, and it is how double brokering and fraud get caught before the freight moves. Onboarded carriers are rechecked automatically so a carrier that was fine last month does not slip through today. Onboarding runs from one link sent by text or email. The carrier verifies their identity, completes the IRS W-9 in the browser, uploads insurance and authority documents, and e-signs your broker-carrier agreement. You can use Haulan's packet or upload your own agreement. Carriers who already onboarded with another Haulan broker can reuse their signed documents, so setup takes minutes instead of days. The load is entered once. Rate confirmations, bills of lading, customer confirmations, invoices, and 1099s all generate from the same facts with your logo and terms. Rate confirmations e-sign from the driver's phone and capture driver, truck, and trailer details at signing. Signed BOLs and proof of delivery attach to the load, and the invoice can merge them into one PDF. Multi-stop loads, dispatcher assignment, and a load board with status filters, saved columns, and profit on every load are included. Accounts receivable and payable are built in. Delivered loads sit on the receivables report until the customer pays, aged from the invoice date, with days since delivery flagged at 30 and 60. Partial payments record against the load and show the open balance. Payables show what is owed to carriers and for how long. Reports export to CSV, printable PDF, and QuickBooks. Haulan runs in the browser, in the Haulan iPhone app, and by text message: text the Haulan number to check an MC, see what is delivering today, or update a load, with the same carrier-blocking rules as the app. Pricing is flat and monthly with no per-user seats, no setup fee, and no contract.
