MetaFleet

MetaFleet is AI-native shop management software for mobile and in-shop diesel and heavy-equipment repair businesses in the United States. It's made by MetaFleet Inc. in Vero Beach, Florida (www.metafleet.ai). The software runs the repair job from the first call to the paid invoice, with AI that does the typing. MetaFleet doesn't publish plans or a starting price: pricing depends on how your shop runs and is shared on a walkthrough. Calls come in on a built-in phone system that records, transcribes and scores them. Dispatch rules rank technicians by skills, service area, shift and drive time, then auto-assign the best fit. AI explains each pick in plain English, and the dispatcher keeps the final say. FleetNet (ServiceHub) requests become jobs without retyping. Technicians work in the browser on any smartphone, with nothing to install. A photo reads the VIN, plate or odometer for the tech to confirm. AI turns their shorthand notes into clean repair lines with suggested labor hours, and the shop adds the parts. Inspections run on the shop's own forms, including annual DOT and DVIR forms. Native iOS and Android apps are coming in Q4 2026. Customers approve estimates line by line from a link. Day, night, weekend and holiday labor rates apply by the job site's local time, so a night call bills at the night rate. Invoices go out with a pay link for card or ACH through Stripe. Cash-on-delivery customers who pay by card can get a card hold before the truck rolls. It's held, not charged. Invoices, bills and purchase orders flow to QuickBooks Online, and payments sync both ways. Parts are tracked across warehouses, bins and service trucks, and a photo of a vendor receipt becomes a draft purchase order. Preventive maintenance programs run by miles, hours or months and remind customers when service is due. Owners can also ask ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity about their jobs, money and parts through a custom connector. MetaFleet is built for the repair shop: mobile diesel, roadside, reefer, towing-plus-repair and heavy-equipment shops, from a single service truck to owners running more than one brand. Fleets are usually the shop's customers. They use the shop's customer portal to request work, follow each job, approve estimates and book preventive maintenance. It also fits fleets that run their own maintenance, where the office sends mobile technicians to trucks on the road.
