I primarily use IntelliJ IDEA for Java backend development. I like its intelligent code completion, fast navigation, built-in debugging, and seamless Git integration. The initial setup was straightforward. The installation wizard and built-in support for Maven and Git made it easy to get started.

IntelliJ IDEA is a Java and Kotlin IDE. It is widely used for Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Android (before Android Studio became the standard), and many other languages through plugins. What I found beneficial about this: Intelligent Code Completion Detect bugs while typing Connect to Git, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc. Support Thousands of plugins available like Docker, Kubernotes, Lombok, AI Assistants, SonarLint etc. It has multiple language support like Java Kotlin, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, PHP, SQL. It is Free to use but Ultimate edition is Paid version. UI/UX is very easy to use and have most of the features we can use through GUI like git pull push. It supports AI to support development. It is faster after loading once

Jetbrains IDEs have a consistent UI/UX over different Operating Systems, IntelliJ is no different. Your learning is used accross other IDEs and Operating System - they have been consistent for years, but also keep improving the experience with care for our workflow. It is easy to add integration and plugins - and there are plenty on the community, of course for all AI major providers.
