Best debugger for C and C++

I love how portable this debugger is. Once you find your way around the common debugging commands, you can easily debug from the command line and examine memory.

GDB for debugging on Linux and core dump analysis

GDB helps users debug programs on the Linux platform. It can also be used for core dump analysis. After a crash, the core file can be used to debug the application. Users must enable core file creation using ulimit. Multi-threaded applications can also be debugged using GDB. Users can select the thread to debug using the "thread" command in GDB. By specifying the thread number, users can switch threads using the thread command. The info command can be used to find the number of threads and the thread number for each thread. When a crash occurs, the backtrace can be checked using the "bt" command. The value of variables can also be printed using the print command. Core dump analysis is one of the useful things a developer can perform to find the real reason for a crash. The core file can be used for core dump analysis. Users need to enable core file creation using the ulimit command.
