It works similar to design tables in SolidWorks, but it can do much more and can create new parts and assemblies in seconds or minutes once all is set. It's also nice how all of it can be controlled by a simple user friendly form. The form on DriveWorks is connected and synced to a SolidWorks part models and Assembly models through formulas on a master model. Instead of creating a configuration as a design table would do, DriveWorks will pull numbers and create new models and assemblies to avoid large file sizes and complications obtained with design tables and configurations that can cause problems in a PDM system.
