Ansys Forte

11 reviews

ANSYS Forte incorporates proven ANSYS Chemkin-Pro solver technology, the gold standard for modeling and simulating gas phase and surface chemistry. While legacy engine-combustion CFD simulations utilize chemistry solvers that are too slow to handle the chemistry details required for accurate predictions of ignition and emissions, Forte uses multicomponent fuel models combined with comprehensive spray dynamics, without sacrificing simulation time-to-solution

Ansys Maxwell

10 reviews

ANSYS Maxwell is the industry-leading electromagnetic field simulation software for the design and analysis of electric motors, actuators, sensors, transformers and other electromagnetic and electromechanical devices. With Maxwell, you can precisely characterize the nonlinear, transient motion of electromechanical components and their effects on the drive circuit and control system design. By leveraging Maxwell’s advanced electromagnetic field solvers and seamlessly linking them to the integrated circuit and systems simulation technology, you can understand the performance of electromechanical systems long before building a prototype in hardware.

Ansys TurboGrid

4 reviews

ANSYS TurboGrid software includes novel technology that targets complete automation combined with an unprecedented level of mesh quality for even the most complex blade shapes. The desired final mesh size is defined (and, optionally, the blade boundary layer resolution), and all the other steps are performed automatically to produce a mesh of extremely high quality. Grid angles are exceptionally good, mesh sizes transition smoothly, and high aspect-ratio elements are generated in the near-wall regions to resolve these regions efficiently and capture boundary layer flows accurately

Ansys VistaTF

4 reviews

ANSYS Vista TF is integrated into the ANSYS Workbench platform for powerful and quick turbomachinery design and analysis. As a 2-D throughflow solver, it fills the space between 1-D correlations and 3-D CFD, providing rapid initial analysis of rotating machinery before proceeding to more rigorous and detailed 3-D fluid flow simulations. Performing initial design iterations using the ANSYS Vista TF 2-D throughflow solver can reduce the total time devoted to product design and development, maximizing the efficiency of engineering simulation.

Ansys Q3D Extractor

3 reviews

ANSYS Q3D Extractor efficiently performs the 3-D and 2-D quasi-static electromagnetic field simulations required for the extraction of RLCG parameters from an interconnect structure. It then automatically generates an equivalent SPICE subcircuit model. These highly accurate models can be used to perform signal integrity analysis to study electromagnetic phenomena, such as crosstalk, ground bounce, interconnect delays and ringing, to understand the performance of interconnects, IC packages, connectors, PCB's, bus bars and cables.

User-Friendly GUI Transforms CFD Simulations

I like Ansys Fluent's easy GUI, which is very user-friendly and makes it accessible for new users. The names of the options, like 'fixed support,' are easy to understand compared to other software like Abaqus, which uses terms like 'Encastre' that can be confusing for newcomers. The initial setup of Ansys Fluent was smooth, and overall, it's a tool I'd rate highly in terms of usability.

Advanced Interface, Reliable Results

I like that Ansys Mechanical offers an advanced interface, as well as a basic interface. The advanced interface allows experts to perform finite element simulations using code, which works excellently well. Additionally, the Ansys Mechanical Workbench interface offers a visual environment that is very useful for students and practicing engineers for mechanical design and analysis, allowing both a visual approach and the use of advanced programming in APDL. I also appreciate its good tutorials and documentation, which make it easy to get started for both beginners and advanced users with experience in finite element analysis.
