A couple of months ago, no one in K–12 education was talking about virtual classrooms.

It’s the height of college application season, and if there’s a prospective member of the class of 2024 in your life, you know that the anxious questions are swirling. 

I was sitting in my high school math class. It was my junior year, near the end of the semester, and the teacher called me up for a one-on-one conference about my grade. 

Most teachers I’ve met are master improvisers. They have to be ready to adapt to situations in the moment, and the COVID-19 health crisis is a perfect example of when adaptation is a must.

When you need an answer and need it fast, wouldn’t it be nice to ask everyone in the world who could help find an answer?

Last year G2 Crowd introduced predictions for 2018’s major digital trends, but this year the focus is on trends in specific industries and how digital transformation will affect them in 2019. 

For colleges forced to close their campuses amid the coronavirus pandemic, virtual classes were only one part of making remote learning possible. When the time came to deliver exams, many institutions turned to online proctoring software.

For most jobs, there had always been an in-person component to the hiring process. It might have started with an online application, then a phone or video interview, but typically a candidate came in to see the office or interview in person as the process progressed.
