Before implementing Appdome, protecting our mobile banking applications against advanced threats required significant coordination between security, development, and external providers. Implementing protections such as anti-tampering, root/jailbreak detection, or protections against dynamic instrumentation typically required code changes, additional development effort, and longer testing cycles. This created friction between security requirements and the need to maintain frequent mobile releases.
After adopting Appdome, we were able to integrate a wide range of mobile security protections directly into the application build process without modifying the application source code. This allowed our security team to introduce advanced protections—such as anti-tampering, anti-debugging, overlay attack protection, and anti-fraud controls—while keeping the development process largely unchanged.
One of the most important improvements has been the ability to implement and adjust security protections much faster. Previously, introducing new protections could take multiple development cycles. Now, we can evaluate and apply additional protections during the build process and validate them during testing, significantly reducing the time required to strengthen the application’s security posture.
This approach has also improved collaboration between security and development teams. Security controls can now be tested and iterated without requiring deep changes in the application code, which helps maintain short release cycles while still raising the level of protection for our digital banking platform.
Overall, Appdome has enabled us to implement advanced mobile application security controls in a faster and more scalable way, improving our ability to protect sensitive financial transactions and respond to evolving mobile threats without slowing down our development and release processes.
