## Zillow Reviews
  ### 1. Wonderful mobile and desktop application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasper C. | Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

I love all of the features of the Zillow app, especially the filtering options and the feature that allows you to save customized searches.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

There are no downsides of using Zillow, you may use a secondary software to find additional information about specific properties, but Zillow ultimately is the best property search engine.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Use the desktop application along with the mobile app! It is so convenient to be able to see the map on a large screen, and to access your saved properties and searches on the mobile app.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My marketing team uses Zillow to find territories that fit our target demographic. We are saving time and resources by using Zillow as a planning tool.

  ### 2. Easy to use, especially for browsing options

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Zillow truly gives you so much ability to search for homes with your specific needs and wants in mind without the pressure of being immediately put in a sales cycle so no pressure.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

The only thing I could think of that is lacking is the human touch. I haven't bought my first home and I imagine a reputable agent could teach a lot and inspire confidence to buy.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me it gives an easy way to browse the market in the same casual manner I browse restaurants on Yelp. It keeps me aware of what's going on locally.

  ### 3. Easyway to use and just works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

I can quickly enter what I'm looking for, and it will quickly show me not only the houses that meet that but also metadata that can help me make an informed decision on that house.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Sometimes the map view is very busy with information and can be a pain to focus on what matters.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping to find a house in a market that is not overpriced and metadata (ex: school rating, crime level).

  ### 4. Zillow - Easy peasy!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

I love how customizable the options are.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

I don't like how clinky it is on a computer.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My husband and I can look at the houses and land available to us in our price range without having to talk to a realtor immediately.

  ### 5. Zillow

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

How big the pictures are in the click through option. Also, the filtering options are very useful.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Sometimes the listings may not be accurate.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Just know that all the listings may not still be available as they say.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits are seeing similar houses to ones you have previously viewed.

  ### 6. Real Estate Platform for consumers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Levent U. | R, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Extra information such as foreclosures, for sale by owners etc.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Data is not updated spontaneously. Listings are still shown as active while the Mls shows pending or closed.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to use for consumers and easy to contact with the consumers

  ### 7. Reliable 1-stop portal for house hunt

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 💻 Chinmay G. | Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

- The Zestimate score is a good factor to measure the value worth of the apartment
- User can draw boundary of search on map
- Zillow has checkbox for "Use exact match" for Bed-n-Bath count

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

- Several brokers keep reposting the apartment, just to keep a low count of "no of days this posting has been on Zillow"
- Single room postings are less available on Zillow, than they are on Facebook local groups
- Map loads slow

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Also join relevant Facebook groups, as there are several postings which owners share on such groups instead

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Every apartment posting has multiple pictures, with great variety of filters for the search, which aren't usually present in other such websites. This helps narrow down a shortlist for apartment hunt

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jaye r. | Ceo, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

I love zillow when looking for rentals or investment properties. Easy to find expired listing buyers and sellers all in this real estate platform. A few clicks and all properties fall in my lap. I also love the fact the foreclosures are easy to locate and you can contact the agent directly in the app.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

No complaints I have been using zillow for about 4 years now and would not change it for nothing in the real estate world.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

If you are a investor looking for properties zillow is a good option for the beginner investor or someone looking to buy their first property.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding the right investment property and agents are friendly and investor friendly.

  ### 11. Great way to begin the home sales journey.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel B. | Graphic UX Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Zillow has developed a seamless user journey for both the buyer and seller. Not my first time selling or buying a home - but primarily my first experience in "For Sale By Owner".

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

The "Owners View" of the listing provides a somewhat misleading set of data about your listed property.

The daily listing report shows the "Views" and "Saves" but the "Top Listings in Your Area" can mislead one to believe (at least in my case) that "Your listing ranks #1 in online views out of 10 similar listings".

That is not entirely accurate. Even though Zillow states explicitly: "Similar listings are based on location and home facts. Rankings are based on views to each home today so far and yesterday." One can easily compare such other "similar listings" that are actually ranking better than your own home.

Zillow "pumps" the ranking of your home by comparing it to "similar" homes that your listing surpassing in views. That detail is the only thing I disliked about the software.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

If you are thinking about selling your home I recommend using Zillow before listing it with an agent. You will learn a lot more about the competition of other home sellers in your market, the tricks they are using and what influences potential buyers to reach out to you to schedule a showing.

Once your property is listed - you will unfortunately become the target of "rogue" real estate agents who will resort to all sorts of crazy tactics to convert you to use their brokerage and pay them a 3% sellers commission.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My home is "hard to comp" and so setting the listing price is not easily determined. Using Zillow has allowed me to experiment with the price, photos and property descriptors - all the while comparing my views to similar homes in the same market.

  ### 12. Home Finding

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip T. | Area Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Zillow is such a great platform to find houses, apartments, pretty much any place you're looking for at the click of a button. One of the great things about this platform is that you can really adjust and customize exactly what you're looking for in a home at the press of a button.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

I wish that there were more options to search for like 1.5 baths, or things like seeing the crime in the neighborhood. This feature would really seal the deal in making this the best app to find homes in a gippie. The great thing about this platform also is the ability to share with other uses and market your home to the world around you. Also, the ability to search for a home within a drawn radius allows for precise home finding whenever you are looking to buy.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

I would recommend this to others because the ease of looking for homes and or rental properties is extremely user friendly. I think that ultimately, what you're able to do using this platform sometimes is more than what realtors are even able to find for you. Therefore you can become your own realtor which is pretty nice.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of co-workers who move in and out of town and this app and platform allows for us to help put people in homes. Every year we have about 10-20 people who are looking for places to stay in nearby residential areas.

  ### 13. If You Want Your Property to be Viewed; it's the Way to go!

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

What I like the most about Zillow is that it is a very common platform that a lot of aspiring home buyers use. It is a go to for those first home buyers. It is user friendly and Zillow also sending out daily notifications to those who have subscribed. They also link the buyer to the real estate agent, if they are interested in the home.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

What I dislike about Zillow is that the Zestimate is not as accurate as I would want for my prospective buyers to see. That may scare them off if it is overly high. And that results in less prospective buyers for my property.A lot of times sites like Zillow are not reflective of the accurate inventory on the market.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

The inventory on the market is not accurately reflected.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is great for new agents who don't have a lot of listing under their belt. It is a great way to get exposure for those who need it. Also it is a platform for those who want to showcase their skills as a realtor.

  ### 14. Zillow is amazing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Zillow is great it is used most by a lot of our agents. Whenever there is a feed issue they help get it fixed as soon as possible

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Zillow does have feed issues. We are also unable to search using an MLS # . We would suggest that zillow is more user friendly and when searching it does a use smart searching

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do sometimes have feed issues but the support team normally helps get these issues resolve as soon as possible.

  ### 15. Great App for real estate, commercial or residential

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** randal333 K. | Advisor - Industrial & Manufacturing Solutions, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Easy to use, clean interface... filtering tool is by far the best compared to other Real Estate sites.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Lots of fake listing in Los Angeles, the for sale side not so much but on the rental side there are lots of bogus listings. 3 Bedroom/ 2 Bath / 3000 sqft in the West Hollywood for $1800.00. I'm sold! Oh i need to send you a $300 credit review cashiers check to save my spot in line, no problem guy who barely speaks English. Sham! If you're smart this is a great app for personal and business real estate research and discovery.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Great App for Real Estate Investors who are looking for information without an annoying realtor trying to take the reigns and charge you for public information you can get on your own.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding wealthy neighborhoods in cities I do not live in, in order to find merchants with stores and restaurants near these wealthy enclaves. As well live/work loft space and investment real estate comps.

  ### 16. Great tool for new landlords

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Zillow is an online website that allows me to place my townhome for rent for potential tenants to see. Zillow is a main website that people go to and search for places to rent. I'm able to upload the details of my property and unlimited number of pictures. I was able to to get my tenant through Zillow.com. I'm also able to collect the rent payment from my tenant with Zillow. They have a few options but I use the FREE ACH funds transfer. It takes 2-4 days for the funds to show up in my bank account but I'm ok with that.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

I do not have any dislikes for Zillow.com. The site is great. It allows me to do exactly what I need.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

This software/website solves my problem of posting my unit for rent.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to advertise - for free - a place to rent. Zillow has the ability to set-up auto ACH rent payments. It will tell you when the payment has been made and when it will arrive in your bank account. I was able to upload better photos at anytime. It also allows me to run background checks through their applicant screening tool. This is a one-stop shop software.

  ### 17. Great, Simple Help for Housing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katherine A. | All Freelance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

I LOVE how many options of filters Zillow offers so you can narrow it down or expand it for results!

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

I’m conflicted lately between it and Trulia with almost identical features. Zillow is not great for searching areas without boundaries.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Try it, but compare with Trulia and then see what gives you the best results!

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zillow has made it much easier to list properties and then get responses from actually interested people!

  ### 18. Very good website for checking out homes.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevan B. | Licensed Realtor, Real Estate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2017

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

This is a great website for looking at homes.. They have a lot of info about each home, schools, neighborhood etc. The website is pretty well laid out and its very easy to use. I have not heard any clients complain about the navigation so that's good.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

It's hard to market yourself as an agent. There are a lot of agents on the site and the programs cost a lot of money.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Try to maximize the free features before shelling out all the money.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having clients look at homes on the site and then give me the RMLS number so that i can get them even more info and show them the home in person,.

  ### 19. Zillow is a valuable resource

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Zillow makes it easy to search for our listings and our listings always show up in the search engines highest with Zillow

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Zillow can be all about profits so the customer service can lacking after they get your money

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Zillow
Is just one of the better real estate tools. Recommend using it!

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing our properties listed for sale

  ### 20. Spend the money - might get leads

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Blue Line R. | Realtor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

I like how the program is easy to use when first starting out looking for Real Estate! It's an easy app on your phone to go through photos and description on properties, it also is great for open houses

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

The amount of money you have to spend to get decent leads! And when I mean decent I mean you can spend thousands of dollars and only get poor quality! Their cost system hasn't really developed or increased over the years, even though they said they have better services like concierge

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Really I think operating and having your open houses on there as the only way to go!

  ### 21. A very good source of listings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Zillow is very straight forward and easy to use - the filters does allow you to get what exactly what you want to see

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

The fact that it is a pain to try to open a listing on a new tab or page. Sometimes sharing the listings might be a pain.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Consider it a great way of doing a first virtual showing.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zillow is a great way to have clients look at potential houses they might be interested in buying.

  ### 22. Better

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

While the system is still not perfect, they have made some recent changes that make it better. :) I like being connected and that they can see they sometimes send poor leads.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Quality of leads and paying big bucks for leads on $14,000.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Expensive.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does generate leads.
Cost has not yet justified means.

  ### 23. Great for use on desktop

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kATIA V. | CLIENT DIRECTOR, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Being able to see a "map" of the homes that are for sale within a certain radius is extremely helpful if you are looking for a home in a particular area.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Having to click "next" to see new homes. I wish there was a way to continue scrolling down the page of homes without having to worry about what page one was on.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

You will get the most out of Zillow by viewing it on a desktop/laptop.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been looking for a home for quiet some time and it's great that one can have adjust homes shown by certain, picky criteria.

  ### 24. Great for looking for apartments and houses!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Finds you the best prices in your range of size and timeframe. Really easy to use and super helpful, especially when it's super hard to find good apartments in the Bay Area. Helpful when you have specific needs you want to search for, great app as well, and great browser-based website.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Sometimes has more expensive houses and rentals than other sites, like Apartments.com or Craigslist, but definitely has some great options.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Check out a number of different sites first, but this is definitely one of the best apps to use and one of the easiest systems to understand. The filters are really great.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easier than finding a real estate agent, or searching on multiple websites. Cuts it down to just one.

  ### 25. I constantly check zillow!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

I absolutely love how easy using zillow is. It is very user friendly as a potential buyer and as a home owner. That stats are great and the search function is wonderful as well. I also love the map feature and so many different ways the site gives you to be able to locate exactly what you need.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

There is nothing that I can think of that is awful. One thing that could be helpful would be to have an option for home owners who are selling 'by owner' to have a flag or something that will stop realtors from spamming you with calls/texts/emails trying to get your business. That is annoying but is not zillow's fault.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Make sure you take the time to fill out everything in detail! It will benefit you both in searching to buy and selling!

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have confidence in being able to sell my house using this tool. I think it has a great amount of information and is a highly rated website that is used as a reliable source for pricing and home searching.

  ### 26. Zillow - the good and bad

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rick S. | procure to pay manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

It has some good information about the location, schools and surroundings

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Their "Zestimate" is quite often very wrong - basically too low

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

It is a very easy platform to see properties and their location. You can see what homes are for sale or even rent

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

locations of vacation rentals

  ### 27. Zillow is an absolutely great software to use for Realtors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

I love that you don't have to do much work on it at all. You just need to set up your profile, enter a few pieces of information, and your listings and solds automatically transfer over. Reviews are the most seamless part of Zillow that my clients and I love.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

I dislike that Zillow is unable to go back in time and fetch all the previous properties that I have sold in my career. It would make it easier than to manually enter every single one of them. It's important to show prospective clients how much you have sold, so you look more appealing.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Get used to getting a lot of emails from Zillow! They love to send you a lot of information, whether it be about your listing or in general

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zillow provides the benefit of easy sharing my listings with either friends or clients. On Zillow they are able to view all the property information, like an agent would be able to.

  ### 28. User and Consumer Friendly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Zillow is convenient for both User and well Consumer (i.e. someone searching for a home and someone listing a home for sale)

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Sometimes search does not always pull up exactly what you are looking for.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

More ways to reach individuals who are interested in viewing listings in their areas as well as open houses.

  ### 29. Zillow for real estate professionals

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

The ease of use to search for current properties

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

The wide varying range of home values based on other sales in the area which may not reflect short sales or other government sales.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use Zillow to search for properties and use their advertisement feature for my personal real estate website

  ### 30. Not reliable

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Zillow is easy to use and has good map functions.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Zillow's information is often wildly inaccurate, especially real estate tax history, whether the house is actually still on the market, and what the house has been worth in the past.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No real problems per se, except the inaccuracies which means you don't know if you can trust the information for any given entry.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

not always the most current information for a particular home is available. They depend on feeds from other systems.

  ### 33. Happy customer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

It’s easy to post property on this platform. The website is very easy to use and navigate. The layout of the pages are easy to read and understand the information being posted.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Not all of the information is accurate. People can post fake profiles and there is no way to tell.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

I would just be careful giving information found on Zillow to clients as it is not all accurate.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has been a major benefit by allowing us to reach clients that we would have a hard time reaching.

  ### 35. #1 for Real Estate Advertising

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

The ease of use is top notch. For people who aren’t familiar with real estate, it makes the search for a home so simple.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Nothing to dislike from a user and administrator position.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Leads from Zillow are always steady which allows our business to run smoothly.

  ### 36. Quick solution for property search

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Property valuation and comparable property data search

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

I dislike that Zillow accepts and allows listings by owner
And often see inacurate value estimate due to same reason

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As broker owner I'd love to advertise on Zillow but monthly subscription for zip codes advertising is too high and not affordable to small brokerages

  ### 37. Great concept, but information is not always up to date

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siobhan B. | Real Estate Assistant, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2017

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

The best thing about Zillow is the fact that it is so well known. The majority of new clients we get mention Zillow specifically, and how they saw our listing on the website.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Information on Zillow is not always up to date. Many times, I have to go into Zillow and manually update our listings to make sure that they are accurate. The biggest issue we have had is with price changes.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

If you list on Zillow, make sure that you check in periodically to ensure accuracy with your properties. If you are browsing as a buyer, it may be wise to check with an agent who has access to the local MLS to get more accurate information.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zillow is great because it is free and so many buyers use it. We have had quite a few prospective buyers contact us and mention they saw our property on Zillow.

  ### 38. Great Marketing Tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colleen S. | Property Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Zillow offers a user friendly, free mobile app that has been a huge asset to our property in terms of leasing and marketing. Their website is also user friendly and easy to update.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

The website tends to be a little slow and not as easy to use as the mobile application. I also wish you could edit the address for listings after they have been created on the app.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Keep your listings up to date! Customers do not like when they respond to outdated ads. I also recommend using professional pictures and to always include photos of the interiors of the property if possible. Renters/buyers are typically suspicious of a place that is not willing to share photos of the living space.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zillow provides a way to reach thousands of potential renters through multiple sites with one post. Our traffic has increased ten fold since we started posting on Zillow.

  ### 39. Effective With Some Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2018

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

I love that everything is so user friendly and searchable. I love the way you can search/edit and the functionality. The app is user friendly and easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

I really don't like the way that the open houses glitch, it pulls from the MLS feed which is fine but it also has a tendency to not catch up very quickly if an open house is canceled/rescheduled. I find that the Zestimates throw clients off (either thinking their house is worth more/less than it actually is in market conditions). I also find that Zillow will market things as "available" when in fact they are not. It seems that the listing report feature has been changed as well or eliminated? The listing report feature was great and when Trulia merged with Zillow it wasn't affected but seems to be lately?

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Don't hesitate to reach out to the tech support. There's almost always a local rep in your area who can help meet your needs. Sometimes not the fastest responses but always personable and friendly. I think overall zillow is one of the best real estate sites/apps out there and it's worth it's glitches. It's expensive if you have the premier account but worth the price for impressions etc.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helpful for our clients to get a wide base of homes to view so they don't have to stick strictly to MLS or Realtor. We love the review feature, it's user friendly and easy to resend if it gets lost in clients mail. We also like that we can research For-Sale-By-Owners and that it's a great site for independent sellers.

  ### 40. The One we Have to Play Nice With

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah M. | Director of Agent Services, Real Estate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

I like the large scale and widely known name of zillow. They have an easy app to use and it is very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

I dislike that the featured agents that are listed above the actually listing agents taking leads away. That is the most frequent complaint I hear from the agents in my firm. Additionally, the lag time in updates is frustrating for our sellers. It can take 12+ hours to update listing changes, and it is something that sellers see and immediately put onto the agent, not realizing it is really zillow's own struggle.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

While it is crucial to be using Zillow, be aware of their update time.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Agents are able to have their listings available to the masses. In the world of "any press is good press," it helps to get your name and properties in front of potential buyers. The app is easy to use and it seems everyone has it. If you are a premier agent, I'm sure it's great for your business, but that's only if you are willing to pay the high price tag.

  ### 41. Best Source For Listing Your Property

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheena R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

This service is completely user-friendly and super effective for listing your property and home! I love how you have complete access and tools to make your home unique and attractive on many levels. It allows you to showcase and highlight each home feature and gives you plenty of room to work with descriptions and key points of the property listing.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

I don't like the search feature that much. I have been on both sides of the program. Selling and also as a home buyer. The searches can get a bit tedious and time consuming but the mobile version of Zillow is very quick and easy if you are on the go. I would recommend everyone to get familiar with all the ins and outs of the website and program and utilize all features and create your own technique for success.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Try different pricing strategies to get the most money for your property. Use the help task button to allow you easy navigation through the different tools and available features. I love Zillow and have already recommended the service to friends and family

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to list my rental property through the service so that I could receive offers and bids from potential buyers. I was also able to assess the value based on similar properties and correctly price our home.

  ### 42. Using Zillow as a Real Estate Agent for Data (not advertising)

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Spencer S. | Chiropractor, owner, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

The best part of Zillow is the ability to quickly see general information regarding a specific property with regards to estimated value and rent. It's also nice to see how this compares to other houses next to it or in the area.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

As a realtor, the information is not good when given away to people that don't understand it. It is very common for people not in the real estate field to use Zillow information and then believe they know everything about the real estate market especially when it comes to valuing real estate. Then when they come to us, they do not listen to the advice that we have to give based off of experience and comparables to what we know is going on now. If we give in to that client and make decisions off of what they believe is right, and a sale goes poorly, they ultimately blame us, even though it was their opinion from Zillow that may have gotten them into this mess.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

For a pedestrian user, don't use Zillow as a final end all for the data you receive. You have to treat it as one of your resources, and understand that it uses an algorithym to compute its values. As a result, it doesn't understand that certain properties can be very different than a simple math equation that you would not understand by just looking at specs.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't really solve any real business problem with Zillow. Zillow helps me get quick information that I can utilize to quickly compare an idea that I may have regarding a particular property. I guess you could say then that it saves me time. If Zillow didn't exist, I could still get the information that I needed, but it could take much longer depending on the specific property and the situation behind that.

  ### 43. Get great rental leads

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica M. | Marketing Director, Real Estate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

I like that we can post on zillow and it automatically populates to Trulia. We get more leads than I anticipated and it's free! I only wish we had started using it even sooner!

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

We really like this tool for rental properties. We haven't found anything we didn't like.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

This is a free ILS. You would be silly to not create an account and put your listings on here. Guaranteed at least one of the websites they post to will result in a lead.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to make sure people are finding our apartments for rent. Zillow allows us to showcase our apartments without charging us money. Plus it populates automatically to Trulia which gives us even more leads. We get more leads from this tool than we do from tools that cost us a lot of money each month. We really appreciate having Zillow as a resource for listing apartments for rent.

  ### 44. Advertising Adair Springs Cabin on zillow.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Delbert A. | Owner, Adair Springs Cabin, Primary/Secondary Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Zillow is well know in the real estate market. It is one way to advertise Adair Springs Cabin, my vacation rental in Pinetop, Arizona.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

You must renew listing often in order for it to remain active.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

Zillow is one of the most popular real estate web sites out there. It is free to list on so why not take advantage of it?

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zillow has been an excellent way to let the community know that my cabin is available to rent as a vacation rental or long term rental.

  ### 45. Zillow needs work!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Zillow is a strong platform and you will get exposure and views. The quality of viewers are ok, often the people who contact regarding a property are not really who they are. I prefer Zillow for looking at other properties than from listing my own.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Sometimes I have found the data to be off, when it estimates a property value either rental or sale it's usually too high or too low. This is not as reliable as StreetEasy for example. I have had sketchy people who are not qualified, who are scammers contact me and I see that it is way too easy to make a Zillow account and they should screen users better.

**Recommendations to others considering Zillow:**

I would recommend to use other sites like Property Shark, Street Easy, direct real estate sites of companies. Zillow is good for skimming a view of properties.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Zillow to list and market properties. I also use Zillow for searching what is in the market in an neighborhood but do not prefer Zillow for the NYC area, I rather use Streeteasy for NYC and Zillow for the suburbs.

  ### 46. Decent Way To Find Properties

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua P. | Lead Pastor, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Zillow has a huge reach and makes it easy for us to reach our potential tenants.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

Sometimes of market analysis on rental pricing is a little of in a lot of markets

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching our tenants with our vacant properties and helps us to maintain a high occupancy

  ### 47. Not always accurate

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah F. | Licensed Realtor, Real Estate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

It’s very easy to use and my clients can leave me reviews.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

It’s not always the most accurate data.

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s actually caused more problems then solved any. A lot of my clients get info from there but it’s inaccurate and I have to be the bearer of bad news. Benefits is it is easy to access and work.

  ### 48. Zillow review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Zillow?**

Some fake properties are also allowed which I don't like as a user

**What problems is Zillow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly value of the property and the availability for lease

  ### 49. An extremely easy to navigate site to find prospective home owners.

Zillow keep progressing well when it comes to marketing. This site is a great tool for prospects to search and find properties for the for for sale.

**What do you dislike about Zillow?**

I am not a fan of the fact that they don't have a very good system to post about rent to owns. Also, the photo uploaded lags.
