The support is a nightmare, the job of the tech support seems to be for people to leave them alone, they ask for 10 zoom meetings and for the logs over and over for something that doesn't warrant it, when it's broken in whatever system or configuration you run it, after you go through the hoops of the multiple zoom meetings and submitting logs over and over again it doesn't get any better, because then they just never get back to you or they get back to you several months later asking everything from scratch. The worst is that the application goes progressively slower the longer you use it, going from milliseconds of opening a view or just the browse page to 10+ seconds, and although we've complained about it and have asked for solutions for years, from various different contacts, there has been 0 help. Something is rotten with the configurational database of Yellowfin, there are a lot of inefficient nested queries and missing indexes and as soon as it gets under a heavier load (multiple people creating, updating, deleting, copying reports, editing views etc) the performance goes out of the window. You can't rely on something if the browse page takes 10 seconds to open alone, and there's absolutely no solutions/suggestions provided, we were ready to try anything, switching OS, db engine, whatever, but nothing. **What problems is Yellowfin BI solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reporting and dashboards. ### 7. The vision for Yellowfin is great (open canvas, signals, NLQ). **What do you dislike about Yellowfin BI?** Yellowfin editing and dashboard building is extremely cumbersom. You need to be extrememly well versed in their platform to get started and bring anything to life. There's virtually no in between from getting started to power user. If you want anything production ready you need to be an expert, or leverage an outside firm to support you from start to finish. The team that can support you is also a single agency located in Australia. They are helpful, but have limited resources to support all Yellowfin customers. **What problems is Yellowfin BI solving and how is that benefiting you?** Yellowfin is working to build a no code solution to empower anyone to create and share data storys without the need for complex SQL, Data Scientists, and engineers...bringing this to life is still in progress though. ### 16. Additionally, there is no way to create blank "canvas" reports for text and headers that should be basic functionality.
